I first started watching you in early 2020 when I was a sophomore in college and you threw me into this whirlwind romance that I now have with all things skincare. Since then, I have finished my bachelors in a totally unrelated field and then went to esthetician school and graduated in February of this year. I am watching this video after a day full of performing facial treatments and instructing others on skincare products that would work for them (and telling people to always wear their sunscreen 😉). It’s safe to say that you have had such a huge impact on my life and you don’t even know it! Just thought this was such a cool full-circle moment! Thanks for all you do Hyram!
As someone with sunscreen allergy (literally tried dozens of Korean, American, chemical, physical sunscreens), only two so far have given me no problems: Beauty of Joseon’s & ISNTREE’s. If anyone else is in the same boat, this is for you!

I absolutely love Bliss Block Star sunscreen. I've been using it for a while and my skin is loving it! I'm currently out of it and have been using the E.L.F Suntouchable Whoa Glow sunscreen. I love that one too! Especially under my makeup. It gives my skin a pretty glow. Also, loving the shirt!!! I need!!! 😊

I was also just thinking I needed sunscreen since I recently ran out so I thought "I need to go back to one of Hyram's sunscreen videos and choose/try a different one ASAP" and your video popped up as soon as I got on TH-cam. LOVE IT!
I LOVE all of Pipette’s products. It’s technically a baby/kid skincare brand, but it’s under the Biossance/JVN Hair umbrella (I think Amyris is the name of the parent company) so they use lots of squalane in their products. The baby lotion is super lightweight but so moisturizing. It absorbs super quickly into my son’s skin but I use it as a moisturizer sometimes too.
Ohh that’s good to know. I’ve been using biossance’s sunscreen for years now but it’s been recalled and I’m desperate for a new one

I am a lifeguard and swim instructor so I was WAITING for this video. Although it’s hard to find a sunscreen after being dipped in chlorine then sitting on a stand over and over again.
Glad this helped. And thank you, I have seen lifeguards rescue people. Important job. I would say a quick release sun hat is probably the most helpful there. Covering up as much as you can without impeding your rescue abilty. These days I will even walk around with an umbrella on super hot days

None of the recommendations have high enough SPF and is water resistant. I would never rely on any of the recs for a Sunny 🌞 day.

Hi hyram ur skincare advise really saved me I used to use so many products but my skin would worsen but then I was watching ur video and u said less is more so I thought of testing it out and it worked wonderfully for my skin I used Neutrogena’s srucb and face flash with a all skin serum and my skin glows and I’m really loving it and my acne has reduced so much feels amazing that I don’t hv to wear make up when I don’t want to thanks alot
I am currently using the SCINIC SPF and can confirm that it may sting your eyes upon application and made my eyes water a bit
pipette is my fav! currently using that one, but planning to change to something more matte soon.
I'd love a video with water-resistant sunscreens, primarily body ones with the HIGHEST protection for those of us planning to swim in very sunny conditions this summer.
As a SoCal native, the Neutrogena ones are solid. But I would also caution against looking for high protection/spf and prioritize reapplying throughout the day. All sunscreens will wash off when you’re swimming regardless of spf/water resistance. I prefer spf 50 minimum across the board and just reapply every few hours.
MD Solar Sciences makes a kids mineral sunscreen cream that is amazing! Waterproof, SPF50, almost no white cast and feels light on the skin. I’m surprised he didn’t mention it in the video. It’s is pricy though!
Also interested in this. Yes, you'll still need to reapply, but spf 50 is nearly twice as effective as spf 30. My day to day in the summer involves the potential for sweat or water, and I have a really hard time finding sunscreen I want to wear that also lasts without dripping into my eyes.

I’ve been using Cotz 50 and am LOVING it!! I work outside 7 hours a day 6 days a week. My face is till pale thanks to Cotz, it is tinted but looks beautiful once it settles.
Love this. I still have my Beauty of Joseon sunscreen and I absolutely love it. Truly zero white cast and it absorbs with next to no rubbing in. Thank you and I guess Happy Sunscreen Mother's day. I will definitely use it this summer and I have been doing it whenever I go out.

For a full body SC I actually really like the Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 50, water resistant one. It's pretty much like a moisturizer and doesn't have a white cast on me but I'm pale so ...

I have eczema so I'm using a baby sun screen from Neutrogena. It does have a white cast which isn't a big deal on me since I'm pale to begin with. It fades after a couple minutes anyways. But it doesn't trigger my eczema so I'm taking the win.

While I try to be consistent with my sunscreen, I have found most simpatico with me and my texture issues and sensitive skin is a solid stick Korean sunscreen (Milky Piggy Sun Great Block Stick) for the face and the Neutrogena sheer spray for the body. Otherwise, it just doesn’t end up happening. My only gripe with the solid stick is that it’s like a deodorant container and seems to run out too quickly to find agreeable with that amount of plastic. I’d love to hear alternatives that won’t leave a greasy or sticky feeling!
Recently the one sunscreen that does not irritate nor burn my skin and doesn’t leave a white cast is the Natrium dew glow spf

Torriden's new release for summer is a new sunscreen that seems to emphasis its suitability under the sun and dry skin.
I live in Australia and have to deal with crazy high UV ratings every day, so trust me when I say the Scinic Mild Sun Essence really is amazing. Keeps my face protected and hydrated throughout the day but never feels too heavy. I legit sometimes forget I have sunscreen on my face.

I got really used to Korean spfs, then I tried the hourglass one and couldn't understand what was breaking me out so badly, then I realised it's probably that as nothing else has changed in my routine, they're the best for every day wear.

I never wore sunscreen until THIS year (obviously I wore it to swim but ONLY THAN). Now I wear it every. Single. Day. The FIRST one I tried and fell in love with was BOJ 💖 I LOVE it! Feels like a moisturizer and doesn’t sting my eyes AT ALL. I need to try more but I recently bought two more bottles of the BOJ because I love it so much 😂

Really great options. I'm always having issues with oily residue, sunscreen running into my eyes and the overall feel just gets to me. Unfortunately, i have two bottles I got to finish along with two spray bottles before i give something else a try.

I use the Scnic enjoy super mild sun essence! It’s my favoriteeee. I have oily acne prone skin and I’ve never once had an issue. It gives me a nice glow look and it’s not heavy. I’ve gotten 2 bottles before for $16 on a sale!

i’m using BOJ for 3 days now and i’m having tiny bumps around my chin (which isn’t a usual spot when i’m having pimples). i really loved the formula and how it has a natural finish on my skin but i’m afraid to use it more

OHMYGOSH I can't believe the Pipette sunscreen was in this video! I had a horrible bout of skin issues all over my body (due to so many factors - allergies, cancer, eczema, infection, you name it), and Pipette was the only brand I could use for years. I've been using that sunscreen since 2020 and it was such a relief to be able to find something that didn't make me react, let alone that had a small white cast and really covered my skin. It's also quite moisturizing without being too heavy. On top of the fact that it also doesn't use the common ingredients that damage coral reefs and other sea life. I can't gush enough about this brand, it's just so good and super underrated (probably because it's largely a baby brand, but baby products are the best lol).
Does it sink in fast and work under makeup?
Glad it worked for you, it leaves a horrible white cast on brown to deeper skin tones … still in search of a mineral sunscreen which is mild with no white cast :(
@@clisaa6974 I don't wear makeup so unfortunately I can't really speak to that😅 For me when I massage it in like moisturizer for a few seconds, it like melts into my skin. I don't know if I'd say it's super lightweight, but it doesn't feel too thick or heavy like other sunscreens! If you have a Target near you, they sell it there and you can return it if it doesn't work; so I definitely recommend giving it a shot! =)

I'm sorry that was your experience, that's one of the worst things about sunscreen😮💨 I will say I have about medium skintone (I'm indigenous Hispanic), and maybe it's because I've stopped giving a sh** in my ripe ol' age of 31 lol, but the white cast doesn't bother me too much. And I've noticed that when I massage it into my skin like moisturizer, the white cast melts away a little bit. But good luck on your journey, I REALLY hope you'll be able to find something soon!!!!💕
