It’s absolutely amazing and keeps my face oil-free for literally the full day! I’ve probably bought and tried over a hundred different sunscreens, but the riceberry is without a doubt the best, no question!
So great to hear your thoughts on the new BOJ serum sunscreen! I'm super oily and had it in my shopping cart but took it out after your review. I HATE glowy, oily, dewy, or any sunscreen I can feel on my skin. Thanks for helping to save me money!

Surprised not to see Innisfree's Daily UV sunscreen here. I'm absolutely in love with it, and it blends like a dream, no white cast! (I'm fair skinned, but seen this commented by many different shades of skin tones!) It feels really light, too, and works well under makeup.

I use the BOJ rice sunscreen in the mornings and the haruharu as a touchup. And its goes on easily even with fingers and doesnt mess up my makeup. I think as long as u have a good moisturiser the haruharu wont be too dry even for those with dry skin types. Hope that helps.

Loved this video, the execution, editing, the clips, everything 👌🏽 Would love to see you guys do more sunscreen videos! Since it’s the one step that we all need and we need to continue repurchasing a lot more frequently, I feel that it’s a type of video that many of us would get a lot out of every couple months (like maybe one or two videos every fall/winter/spring/summer depending on how many new sunscreens there are and depending on how in-depth you’d like to go) 😁
We need mineral sunscreen and tinted sunscreen next! I am acne prone with dark skin and they recommend me mineral sunscreen. One of the biggest struggle is the white cast and tinted sunscreen aren't much seen on korean market. Korean skincare are a lot cheaper here in my country and western brands are not in my budget. I need some video about this.
I have acne prone skin and I love the Paula's choice daily wrinkle defense SPF. It's tinted and I don't even need foundation with it. Expensive but worth every penny
I love the Summer Fridays mineral sunscreen but it’s only SPF 30 for $36 doesn’t leave a white cast on me (medium skin tone) and a natural/soft matte finish.
The only mineral sunscreen that does not leave a white cast on all dark skin is the Cotz sunscreen (US brand), but it's best suited for dry skin. Avène have chemical type waterproof sunscreens which also blocks blue light which helps fight hyperpimentation on dark skin like mineral sunscreens. If you're Black but with a medium/ligh skin tone you should not see a white cast.
If you live in the US, bubble has come out with one which is supposed to be really good. A lot of people also use the 2 from hero cosmetics. Apply the green one first, wait for it to dry (does leave a white cast) and then use the one with the tint on top to cover it up. The second has worked for me personally but I have a heavy yellow undertone and medium tone
I have extremely oily skin so sunscreen was a nightmare to me..not anymore after using the haruharu one..I love it so much!! Anyone with oily skin got some other sunscreen like this..Please drop the name ❤
The same happened for me. I am extremely oily all over, not just my T zone. I also wear makeup everyday and I've spent so much money on different sunscreens over the years. Either they were too shiny, or it didn't work well with my makeup. Until the Haruharu yellow bottle one. I absolutely love it! It doesn't mess with my makeup and even though eventually I do end up getting oily and have to blot, it's no where near what is was with other sunscreens.
I have oily skin and don’t really like when I can feel the sunscreen sitting on my. I use the kose cosmeport perfect uv gel it’s undetectable to the feel. Very very oily skin friendly. Sets matte and basically feels like you didn’t apply anything. Must try!!!
The Korean sunscreen sticks are my go to more than the creams lately. 🥰 So much easier to apply and still no white casting. Round lab sells powder sunscreen. I haven’t tried it yet but it looks like it would be perfect to reapply over makeup.
Wouldn’t recommend sun sticks as your main application of sunscreen because you’re definitely not applying enough with those things. You’d need to dig out a 1/4 tsp amount to get the necessary amt of sunscreen and at that point it would be uncomfortable on the skin
The fact that the tubes are so small irks me. As someone that needs to order this product, I'd rather not order one every week. Japanese brands should make bigger containers up to 500ml like Australian brands do.
Yes, it's interesting that Japan/Korea which tend to be more green / enviromentally friendly would sell products in a way that promotes more plastic waste or increases carbon foot print (more shipping/delivering).
Useless observation - when you are explaining about haru haru sunscreen, the name written there is beauty of joseon ginseng moist sun serum. Does that affect the overall information in the video? No... I just tend to pay attention to these things 😅. BTW love your content ❤
I am someone that sweats A LOT!! I always feel the need to clean my face before I reapply. I’m a Aussie and it gets pretty hot here. Just trying to work out if I should be just going over top of sweat or cleaning and starting again.
Thankyou so much for this video. It has been so informative. I am a very pale Scottish/Irish complexion, Aussie girl, who literally burns in the moonlight!!! I've struggled for years and years with trying to find the right sunscreen for my super sensitive skin, and literally wasted so much money on trying them all. I am now in my 50's, and with fairly ok skin, because I have had to stay out of the sun all together because I knew my sunscreens were't doing the job properly. So...I have included some Korean skincare products into my routine, namely anti aging serums, and hydrating serums, because my skin is also now extremely dry as well as sensitive! (thanks Menopause!!).....so I really want to try Korean sunscreens now. These sound perfect for me, and I love the lightweight, hardly can feel them, quality they have. I will be purchasing a couple of them to try. So....thanks for breaking it all down for me, and making it a simple.
Hey 51 year old here, I too have been doing experimentation with different sunscreens and realised that the ones made in Korea are the best ones in the market. For aging and sensitive skin, I found ones that has zinc oxide worked best for me. The one that I have been using for the past few months is spf 50 and perfect for me. I got mine from Invity's website, you can try it too.
@@AnnaSwan-qv7ofhey, thanks so much. I have been using 3 different Korean sunscreens for the past 6 months now, and they all are great. And very affordable. I order my Korean products from Lila Beauty here in Oz, which has pretty much all Korean brands and also Japanese, and its super cheap, and they deliver within a couple of days. The sunscreens are so light and creamy or just like another skincare Serum. They don't irritate me at all, and have excellent coverage. I won't go back to other sunscreens now.

I don't know if you are still reading the Comments, but THANK you for this video! I am SUPER allergic to Chamomile(anaphylactic on ingesting it, and horrible rashes if it gets on me) and you explaining what Bisabolol is for the Purito Sunscreen helped me figure out what was causing me issues with about 5 different products that I have used in the past(and currently!) I liked the rest of the video as well, but the Bisabolol was the stand out for me as now I know to look for it in sunscreen.
This is my newest favorite in the market. I have oily and acne prone skin and this didn’t break me out. It wasn’t greasy even when I put make up on top of it. Honestly, this is such a great buy. I’ll look forward on trying the haruharu or anua. But for now, I have no complaints. The best sunscreen I’be tried thus far.
I was excited to use the Skin 1004 Centella but it burned my eyes really bad and felt matte on my skin. I love the Round Lab one so much more than the BOJ although I wished the tube actually contained more product. Now I need to try the Numbuzin one.
I was recently in Tokyo and got a lot of sunscreens, but Japanese ones. I do prefer the Korean ones in general as they tend not to have a lot of alcohol like Japanese ones, and also have skincare ingredients which Japanese ones don't, but from these I have tried and loved a few like BoJ, Purito, Haru haru, round lab and skin1004. I am a light medium and agree, all invisible and lovely under makeup. Not tried Anua or Acwell, so will check those out next
Thank you for doing this. I love Haruharu Wonder sunscreen! It does not irritate my eyes, it is colorless, it comes off easily in a single wash, (as compared to mineral sunscreens) and it is not greasy or too drying,
Thank you so so much for this video!!! I really loved the graphics and animation that helped illustrate the difference of each product. Best video ever!!!!

Oh my God I really want to try out the Anua sunscreen!! I also have the Haruharu sunscreen but I have yet to try it>< And the last two sunscreens you mentioned are my absolute HGs, and what I've been using over the spring / entering the summer.
My favourite sunscreen now is the Haru Haru, I swear by it on how great on my dark tone skin * No white cast, no give irritation on my eye area and blend easily with shatin finish look* ❤❤❤❤
Thankyou!! I'm Vietnamese and I have tried Beauty of joseon sun stick and Thanks god your recommendation is so real that I love it alot^^ now I'm going to try Haruharu
Hi! I was wondering, did you end up getting the HaruHaru one? if so, what do you think of it + what do you think of HaruHaru mixed with BOJ sunstick as reapplication? I'm asking because I also have the sun stick and I'm considering the HaruHaru one!
I will be buying 3 of them :D Numbuzin, anua and the haru haru one. So curious to try a less dewy more matte one. I use RoundLab for a year already and like it but since I am oily it's dewy especially because i tend to apply more sunscreen to have good protection. Will see if I prefer one over the roundlab or I can simply switch them up based on what i feel like wearing during the day.
Thanks to you and this video was how I found the Haruharu Wonder chemical sunscreen before it started to become so known in the States. As soon as Nikki Larose started mentioning it I went "oh boy😒"
OMG. You said Houttuynia Cortada and my brain goes Hakuna Matada. Hahaha. Their motto could be No worries! :) Thanks for the video. Loved how informative and thorough you are.
Did u know that numbuzin 1 sun essence sunscreen lasts for 10hrs with out reapplying?😮 If you look it up that's what is advertised, and I myself use it. And I have not yet got a sunburn . I only put it on in the morning and go about my day So I just thought everyone would like to know that I have found a 10 hour lasting sunscreen. For those of you who hate reapplying it, because I am one of them.
the pa protection is much lower on Korean sunscreens than European ones, so do you really want a sunscreen that lasts 10 hours if you are going to be out in the sun for a whole day, I recommend you p20 which has a pa protection of 50 and 60, but do you only going to and from work or if it's winter time, you can use the Korean ones, as they are often very caring for the skin.
Thanks so much for this! It was really helpful as I got to make a more informed decision about what sunscreen(s) to get because I really didn't know where to start. :)
Thanks for the honest and informative reviews. I appreciate the rating scales you used for each product and how they wear on your face two hours later. It’s good to know as a potential consumer how they hold up throughout the day. I do just have to say that spraying sunscreen directly all over your face is toxic since you are prone to inhaling aerosolized chemicals.
thanks so much for this informative video! I always thought ESSENCES are less shiny and thinner than creams. But this video proves the contrary. I have VERY oily skin. Should I always opt for creams instead of essences then???
As you mentioned for us living in a humid place. Ughhh… we do need spf that is light but also sweat resistant. There is no way the spf stays for more than 1 mins outside if its not sweat resistant. Please help
can you do a video on oil based and water based cleansers kind of like you did with these sunscreens? I have a water based cleanser but I have no idea what oil based one is good 😭
Me too, I love skincare products with Cica in it as it really helps with my aging skin too. I am currently using my Invity microemulsion, which is like a light-weight moisturiser and it has Cica Stem cells and I can really feel my skin glowing from within.
You didnt classify all sunscreens whether mineral or chemical. I feel that category should be included in the table. Most without white cast are the chemical formulations and most brands offer both chemical/mineral versions for these products
The supergoop spray burns my eyes and makes me super shiny, the only way for me to reapply foundation without messing it up is to use a tinted spf, Missha bb cream is my current favorite
My toxic trait is seeing what beauty within recommends and buying it immediately.

My favourite sunscreen now is the Haru Haru, I swear by it on how great on my dark tone skin * No white cast, no give irritation on my eye area and blend easily with shatin finish look* ❤❤❤❤
is it the chemical one?
Going back to the 1st video I watched. Thank you for recommending haru haru. My oily skin's bff spf ❤
Very helpful video. Thank you so much for this. Also your skin looks great as always
Love this episode! So informative!
Just got the anua one cause I couldn't find the haruharu one. Excited to try it!!!
So so clear ! Thank you !
Immediate subscriber! Thanks for being so thorough with your explanations, demo and comparison’s
Just what’ve been looking for!!
This was so helpful!! Thank you so much 🫶🏽
Just as I was starting a search for a new sunscreen that won't leave a cast
Thanks to you and this video was how I found the Haruharu Wonder chemical sunscreen before it started to become so known in the States. As soon as Nikki Larose started mentioning it I went "oh boy😒"
This was an incredible video!! I so wish you did the final ranking for each category like you did for finish.
This was a great video and so helpful & knowledgeable! Thank you!
Listen anua and haru haru peels so much I cant believe she said there is no peeling to me that is a straight up lie!
this is such a great and informative video omg
OMG. You said Houttuynia Cortada and my brain goes Hakuna Matada. Hahaha. Their motto could be No worries! :) Thanks for the video. Loved how informative and thorough you are.
10:50 the text says Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Moist Sun Serum instead of Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Sunscreen
You guys really need to try japanese drug store sunscreens!!!
I love sunscreens! Thanks for sharing!
New friend here. 😊
May you please do a video for waterproof sunscreens? Thank you
the pa protection is much lower on Korean sunscreens than European ones, so do you really want a sunscreen that lasts 10 hours if you are going to be out in the sun for a whole day, I recommend you p20 which has a pa protection of 50 and 60, but do you only going to and from work or if it's winter time, you can use the Korean ones, as they are often very caring for the skin.
At 10:50 you forgot to change the name from BOJ to HaruHaru 😅
Thanks so much for this! It was really helpful as I got to make a more informed decision about what sunscreen(s) to get because I really didn't know where to start. :)
Numbuzin no.1 clear filter sun essence ....Is it good for oily skin??
Hi, spotted an error at 11:15. When you introduced HaruHaru, the label was still showing Beauty Of Jeoson.
I am so happy I found you..❤
Your videos are so good I can’t even handle it
Very informative and I’ve chosen 1 (2🤷🏼♀️). What are the blotting papers you are using please?
Thanks for the honest and informative reviews. I appreciate the rating scales you used for each product and how they wear on your face two hours later. It’s good to know as a potential consumer how they hold up throughout the day. I do just have to say that spraying sunscreen directly all over your face is toxic since you are prone to inhaling aerosolized chemicals.
thanks so much for this informative video! I always thought ESSENCES are less shiny and thinner than creams. But this video proves the contrary. I have VERY oily skin. Should I always opt for creams instead of essences then???
I agree the lighter… the more oily and it doesn’t sink in quick
First video of yours I've ever seen and i loooove this content style. So informative. New subscriber secured lol
I’m always get greasy in 30 mins after those sunscreen, mineral one kinda more tolerable
I have a water based cleanser but I have no idea what oil based one is good 😭
I would LOVE to see a sunscreen with Cica in it ❤
Me too, I love skincare products with Cica in it as it really helps with my aging skin too. I am currently using my Invity microemulsion, which is like a light-weight moisturiser and it has Cica Stem cells and I can really feel my skin glowing from within.
Will you do a review of water resistant asian sunscreens?
Very good video ! Thanks for the great job !
You didnt classify all sunscreens whether mineral or chemical. I feel that category should be included in the table. Most without white cast are the chemical formulations and most brands offer both chemical/mineral versions for these products
I don't know if you've noticed it by now or not. But you put the wrong label for Haruharu wonder chemical sunscreen
The purity one made me SOOOO greasy looking, by the evening I look like I have water droplets on my forehead
Same and it never dries it always feels tacky! I got it off of stylevana or JOLSE so I know it’s the real thing and not a fake
I hate the Round Lab sunscreen. It dried out my skin and made me peel.
the only thing this amazing video is missing is listing out the sunscreen ingredients in each product.
The supergoop spray burns my eyes and makes me super shiny, the only way for me to reapply foundation without messing it up is to use a tinted spf, Missha bb cream is my current favorite
