Many people get really worried about the interview - but you shouldn't! If you are at the right level for the CELTA course, you should be fine duing the CELTA interview!
Just remember to be yourself, show a willingness to learn and motivation to work hard on the course.
Many centres do the CELTA interview differently so, if your experience was very different to any of the ones mentioned in the video, leave a comment below explaining how it was for you!

Steve thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. You helped me so much! I had my interview for Celta in International House Belfast (Northern Ireland) today and I was offered a place at the end of it! You helped me to understand what they are looking for and I didnt get hung up on the grammar thanks to you. Kind regards Keith
Hi Steve. We went over the pre-interview task and in between sections he asked me about myself. You said it was 'about my awareness as a teacher. They are expecting you to be a novice in grammar. Don't worry if you get things wrong. It is about your experiences, ideas and motivation for the course.' All this solid advice kept me grounded and made me relax. THANKYOU SO MUCH again. I told the interviewer I had come off 6 night shifts the day before and I am glad I did because I got so many tenses wrong and he took pity on me. At the end I had another task covering language awareness, error correction and conveying meaning. 67 minutes passed and at the 68th minute he said 'I would like to offer you a place.'

Keith Hamilton It went well thanks :) I got accepted but it’s conditional on me going there minimum 1 week before the course starts, as they want to work on some of my grammatical weaknesses! I didn’t realize I was that bad lol 😂
Well done Amdo! My grammar is terrible actually and I will be reading at least 2 books before I start the course. Have you had a look a grammar bytes (online). What month are you starting? I am start 2 July.

Hi Steve, Thank you so much for putting this video. My interview is next week, and I gotta say that I was so nervous for this one. Preparing myself and revising all the things I've learned before and just today I took quick online test, and the result was quite shocking for me as I was an English Language boy since I was teenager. Got Level B1 as in Band 5 EILTS. Which this refer to the British council respond after they received my application form and finding out that my official band score 5.5 that I received few months ago is not within their candidates expectations 7.5. After watching the video, you brought back my confidence as you mentioned that I need to be myself and show them your true intentions and motivation to do the CELTA course. English Language has been my passion for a very long time. I want to peruse a careen in Teaching English Language to share my knowledge to the next generation.

How much can I earn after CELTA and where can I get a job?
I’m considering doing the Celta online course in January 2019. Would in-house or online be better?
HI Michaell - the 'online' CELTA still requires you to go to the training centre frequently (it should really be called 'blended learning' as it is NOT done at distance). The main advantage is that you don't have to go as much as the standard CELTA< so it has added flexibility. Hope that helps and good luck
Hi there, I'm Youssef, Egyptian teacher, I'm going to have an inviatation for my next holiday in Veinna and I want to take as many advantages as I can of my accomodation there for 90 day, Do you think that I will be able to take the CELTA course there? if yes, what should I do to be prepared for such a course?

@@zaraemmad7389 Best to have a look at their site. Requirements are set by the centre so you can check directly with the centre you want to study at and all are slightly different. Good luck
