I say this as when I am studying, I often don’t feel I have any time to read for leisure or fun, which frustrates me in a big way! I am using the Auna cardioid USB microphone + pop filter. It's around £60 here on Amazon in the UK but I don't know how big of a brand it is. If you spend much less, the quality just isn't much better than a standard headset microphone. Blue Yetis are more expensive but have excellent reviews. Enjoy 👍🏻

For the activities I adapted activities from sites. taking what I meeded from them or shuffling them into a more focused activity.would this be ok or would I be better finding an activity and just using it fully

I think that sounds fine, providing it doesn't take too long to sort through them all. On the flip side, there are few worse feelings than fully committing to a single activity in a lesson then realising it stinks, with another 15 minutes of it to get through!
