I don't care much about the whole situation, but I have noted something: people in the Balkans or middle east are proud of their country, their roots, identity etc. and they are ready to fight or at least take a stand in pubblic. Western people (me included) tend to avoid taking a stand and showing pride, often to avoid getting associated with nazism, fascism etc. You're discouraged to discus these kind of topics unless you're sure to be among "like minded" people or have something to gain. Jamila was super brave and would probably get some "damage" for this but she did it anyway.

@Blarie Chill down bro, I can still express to be proud of my country (which I'm not, but that's beside the point). Other than that it's "Homo Homini Lupus", if you're on the loosing side of history you claim the moral higher ground over the winners, but given a chance to do so each race / religion / country would try to expand at the expenses of others.

this video is so important. I feel like so many people have everything so backwards and do not understand the complexity of this issue. Most people side with Armenia without even considering that Armenia not only annexed Nagorno but they also annexed all the land surrounding Nagorno which is HUGE. Literally 800k Azeris had to leave their homes because of it. I'm sure if the issue was only about Nagorno than Azerbajain and Armenia could find a good deal BUT this is about so much more land than just Nagorno. I support Azerbaijan with this one and I am proud of you for making this video! It's brave of you

It is disheartening that so many Azeris had to leave their homes. As I have said before however, its always a two sided story. Just like so many Azeris had to leave their homes many Armenians were annexed from Baku during the first war as well. There was ethnic cleansing of Armenians throughout Azerbejian at the time and many families were killed or fled.
As I said it is disheartening for both people

I don't know what kind of lies your governments/families teach you when you're younger, but if you really care about the truth you would do your own research and stop relying on a bunch of indoctrinated people to give you lessons in "history".

My government said nothing to me about Khojaly. I know that 250 000 azerbaijanis were deported way before that Baku pogrom. Your nationalist brainwashed people were cheering "Armenia for armenians" and were attacking Azerbaijani houses. Hundreds of people died and others are forced to leave their houses. So we can see that your nationalist mindset started this conflict.

Churches and monuments belong to Caucasusian Albania and now some of them is alive and Armenia represents them to the whole world as theirs. Even armenians claim they are the frist nation that adopted christianity. It is just misleading information. The Tsar of Russia has removed the albanian chatalichos and take valuable documents about them to the Russia in 1836. Lastly some albanian churches have been destroyed and some are alive to demonstrate them to the wordl as armenians'. Another article about Azerbaijani writer is true. But his mother was armenian and he hated azerbaijani and thats why he wrote about "massacre" that never happened. The fact that his sons were working in government.

If you really cared about the empowerement of muslim women you wouldn't have made these comments. Maybe you should take a good hard look at yourself and wonder how you can stop being part of the problem. You can't tell her what she is and isn't to do, especially on her own channel when it's harmless and instructive content. Maybe stop trying to silence the voice of people because *you* feel it isn't important. It might be hurtful to someone. If you don't want to see this type of content, you are free to leave. Seeing how you just adressed a human being, you won't be stopped on the way out.
Also, I would like to state that learning etiquette is incredibly empowering and very telling of one's culture. It's one of the easiest way to show respect and reducing it to "learn how to catch a rich husband" doesn't make it. Have a nice day.

Between the years 1918-1920, taking advantage of the chaotic situation created due to World War I, and the collapse of the Russian Empire, the regular Turkish forces joined by Azeri military units completely destroyed hundreds of Armenian villages and organized massacres of Armenians in the cities of Baku and Gyanja and Genocide of Armenians. Only in Nagorno Karabakh they have met serious armed resistance by military formations, organized by the National Council, despite the fact that on March 23, 1920 Turkish forces burned, plundered Shushi, the regional capital, and annihilated its Armenian population.
At that time, the international community considered it imperative to become involved in the conflict. On December 1, 1920, the 5th Committee of the League of Nations, based on a report from the 3rd subcommittee, unanimously decided against accepting Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan into the League of Nations, taking into account Azerbaijan's territorial ambitions. The League of Nations, before the final resolution of the conflict, recognized Nagorno Karabakh as a disputed territory, which was agreed to by all parties, including Azerbaijan. Thus from 1918-1920, during the formation of Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, its sovereignty did not extend over Nagorno Karabakh or, for that matter, Nakhijevan.

Incredible video! Well said and I could clearly see the love you have for your country. I have been hearing the news about this issue and now with your video I completely understand. I pray Azerbaijan will become whole again soon.
