Thanks. This video is good and well done to learn chinese numbers. But it looks like 2 cases are missing when talking about numbers : first, for reading a year number (2022) where each digit is read separately (2 - 0 - 2 - 2) ; and second when giving a phone number. And in the second case, for a 1 : instead of reading it "yi", it must be read "yao". Is this correct ? Are there other cases wher a 1 is read "yao" instead of "yi" ? Thanks again for this clear video. Very useful. Vincent
Thank you very much, yes, you are right, I didnot mention about these two cases. I will make notes and will make another video about this in the future. Back to number"1", when you talk about telephone number or room number, you say " yao". for example: my room is 101, you can say: wǒ de fángjiān hào shì yāo líng yāo.
@@Mandarin4All Thanks for this quick and clear reply. Regarding the "yao" case, I have never seen this rule clearly mentioned in any chinese material, although I noticed such a way of saying "1" was used in several instances (without explanation). So it is worth mentioning.
@@jawijawijawi5047 you are welcome. The pinyin for "美丽" should be : měi lì, (3rd+4th), and pronunciation should be same, měi should change to be half 3rd tone.
Thank you for the easy and clear explanation. Especially, the story about "250" in the end is indeed very interesting.
Thank you very much for your comment. I am happy that you like it. Have a happy day!
