Most efficient material I've found so far. Good job and thank you!
EXCELLENT! Numbers in Mandarin Chinese are soooooo different than English.
I have been teaching English in Taiwan for several years. I always feel empathy for my students when learning numbers.
I hope this video helps you. 😉

Thank you for reaching out to me, in the way I expected it to be. You solve my problem
Hi could we practice online if possible. I think your level is very standard.
老师,您好
Could you explain the tone changes in 1
13:07 yīshí in 10010
13:17 but yìbǎi in 10100
14:00 yìqiān,but yī bǎi in 11101
谢谢!
10000 only be read as yíwàn, 1000 only be read as yìqiān, 10 in a big number only be read as yīshí, 100 in a big number can be read as yìbǎi or yī bǎi, but if a number starting with 100, it's only read as yìbǎi.

how many use for two
er/ liang
er shi or liang
shi which can use?
I thought that when there's a 1st tone before a 2nd tone ("yī -shí"), the 1st tone changes to a 4th tone, or is this just for counting numbers..?
老师很漂亮

@@EverydayChinese someone from a different channel suggests the student should know Chinese characters by HSK3, and there is no point to continue further if you don't.
My question is, is that harsh or is that true!?!
please hsk4 test . i hope u make it
I will make it in the future.

My school name is PCLC with Chinese to teach good 🎉😊🎉😊🎉😊🎉
I ate a meal in Taiwan and after collecting the food the shop owner said "yi bai ba". I thought it was 180 and gave 180. While eating the meal I realized that there is not such a number. Is it a colloqial way say "yi bai ba shi? I asked the Shop owner after my meal if it was 108 but she insisted she didn't mean yi bai ling ba.
Did she fool me in letting my mistake happen or did she actually mean 180 and just said it simplified?
In spoken Chinese, we just simply say /yi bai ba/for 180.
@@EverydayChinese Thank you, I see!
You're welcome!
in fact 一百八means 108 in ancient Chinese, but rencent Chinese it just mean 180. for simply, we often silent the last shi, bai, qian, wan if it's a integer
our teacher said we couldn't szy Liangbâi is èrbâi
Is your course is life time subscription?

英文里面没有万这个概念,学英文的时候也让我花了一定时间来理解thousand million billion trillion的用法
其实就是单位大小不一样,中文是万进制,英语是千进制
So a difference in tone can mean the difference between 钱 and 千. Surely that can cause some misunderstandings.
Interesting that 101 is 一百零一 when you could just say 一百一 and you could figure out the number from context without explicitly saying 零
that's the same thought I had!
一百一 means One hundred and ten, simplified from 一百一十
and if you say 54,000, you can say 五万四(千 can be simplify), 50400五万零四百. 50040五万零四十. 50004五万零四
How do I even get it right
邓老师,请说我的回答对不对?
120,580:十二万零五百八十
56,789:五万六千七百八十九
30,805:三万零八百零五
76,000:七万六千
1,000,000:一百万
哇,你太棒了,全都对!

So logic in chinese with numbers between 11 to 20. In norwegian its a nightmare. U have to learn 9 new words for it.
Ni fishnghao
Also i knaow how to speak chinese
Why did it use 两百instead of 二百?
Why does yi in yi qian have a different tone from yi as in one
it cause Chinese has the rule of change tones for convenience, not only 一 has. The putonghua has the least change in any Chinese. There's a lot changes in just like the Baoding and Tangshan dialect area in Hebei and Shandong Mandarin. (yes, the mandarin is a part of Chinese dialects in fact, not the 'standard Chinese' which we called Putonghua)
