It's so nice to see. I'm not from Dublin myself, my dad's side of the family are. But I'm so sick of everyone talking shite about Dublin. It's a capital city, there's always going to be problems, but there's so many good people there, good food, good pubs and it's just not as bad as everyone is letting on. (I'm slightly pissed off at those Trinner students saying culchies are hillbillies though... They can feck off 🤣)

The Book of Kells was written around 800 AD in medieval Ireland:
Location: The exact place of origin is unknown, but it was likely created in a monastery on the Scottish island of Iona or in Kells, County Meath, Ireland.
Creators: It was created by three artists and four scribes.
Time to complete: It took about 75 years to complete.
The Book of Kells is an illuminated manuscript that contains the four Gospels written in Latin by the Columban monks. It's considered one of the greatest masterpieces of Celtic art and a textbook example of insular illumination.

You have seen gaelic football try and find a Hurling game. Its played at croke park but as far asi know there are no games this time a year but they are club games all over ireland finding them and getting tickets is another story however in some places you can look at a game over the fence.

That's the central bank, not the Guinness Storehouse. Sorry, I had to correct you on that. 🙃 great video all the same. Those two circular items are black pudding and white pudding. Black pudding is one of the best sources of iron, coz it's made with, eh, pigs blood ie: not the same as blood sausage.

Also a lot OPW sites are free on the first wednesday of the month. Kilmainham gaol , the museum of modern art is near that too.

Hi, the two breakfast items you asked about were black pudding and white pudding- they are delicious!!! If you travel down the country to Co.Kerry, one of the best makers of these puddings is Ashe butchers/pork products in Anascaul, and they are available in most supermarkets and many local cafes too. Clonakilty puddings in Cork are also super tasty. Travel outside 'The Pale' (slang for Dublin area) and check out the different slang words in other counties. 'Tis cat out' is used here in Kerry to mean it's raining heavily. If something or someone is 'banjaxed' it is broken or something is wrong physically with them. Good luck on your travels here in our Emerald Isle and if I see you in Kerry I'll be sure to say hello and give you more tips/slang. 😃👍 T
