What's not to like. The conducting of the world's greatest orchestra is exciting and powerful. The choir is rich and full. The soprano beautiful. I love this piece and cannot imagine it better performed.
Wow! I was there as a member of the choir :-) Nice remember.
Considero esse "Te Deum" como um dos mais belos por ser majestoso, refletindo um pouco a grandeza de Deus.
I've searched for this Te Deum for a long time. I performed it once when I was very young and have never forgotten it, yet never knew it was by Dvorak until now.
This is my favourite Classical piece and always will be

Okay!
@@vincentkluwe-yorck8658 “Greatest talent of the 19th c”. Well that’s your opinion and of course a valid one but for me Hector Berlioz is the greatest and his Te Deum is my favourite 😊

The choir is just PERFECT!
Dvorak did something very curious early on in this piece. In the extended section at the beginning (after the timpani solo) the orchestra plays a repetitive motif in 4/4, centering on the tonic chord. The brass, however, plays a sharp chord on every 3rd beat, as if they were playing in 3/4. It is a subtle effect, but very enjoyable. Dvorak did the same thing in the fourth movement of his 9th symphony (about 1/4 the way through). These pieces were both written in America. He liked his idea the first time, so he did it a second time.
I've always been a fan of Bizet's Te Deum. But this one nearly beats that.... Lovely!!
My college choir this with the Riverside Choral Society last year.
great performance. thanks
for once you got it right.didn't think it possible
LAUDAMUS IN AETERNAM!!!!! :D
Wow!!!
Hermosa obra
hermosa version
Dieses Te Deum lässt sich nicht mit seinem berühmten Pendant von Anton Bruckner vergleichen, aber es ist meiner Meinung nach genauso genial. :-)
Jedenfalls, die Werke von Bruckner sind unvergleichbar ;-)

Ok
Too slow for me and loosing all the great temperament, vitality and pure religious happiness this wonderful work posses
This performance is soooooo underplayed, its makes me sad :(((( beccause I'm usually such a big fan of Harnoncourt. The OTHER Czech performances are so much better. Mackerras possibly the best!
