Did you notice a little ghostly “ding” in the opening of “Among The Dead” that shifts up in pitch? It’s actually the same sound “That’s The Way You’re Giving Up” ends on. 👻 Just a fun little fact. Thank you so much, Francesco!! 🥰 Fun fact, my original arrangement of that interlude in 2012 only had glockenspiel, lead vocals and pizzicato strings. 😅😅😅 In 2020 I decided to finally start releasing all of these old songs of mine and improve the arrangements, having more orchestration experience than I had back then. Now this combination of tubular bells, glockenspiel and choir in this interlude gives me a little bit of the "Carol of the bells" vibe and a bit of a "transition" between Halloween and Christmas impression.

I am obsessed with bells (of any size), mallets, celesta, music box etc..... I use these instruments in anything I do and I love hearing them in other people's arrangements....
I actually like some FM bells too!.... One might say that I'm a bell freak lol.

Happy to share these things, as I am totally obsessed with anything and everything music related:) Pianos, bells and harps are definitely some of my favorite sounds. And not a song goes without a glockenspiel or a music box. In general, metallic and mechanical sounds are very cool. I even use mechanical clock samples instead of hi-hats sometimes :)
I never gotten much into FM stuff, though I have a DX7 emulation in the Arturia bundle.
Tubular bells are not EastWest, by the way, I don’t have those. You can actually see the library I use in the video “Among The Dead (Behind the song Part 2)” for a split second :) It’s horribly out of tune though, so I can’t recommend it unless you’re into the special kind of torture that is tuning bell samples :D

Спасибо за теплый отзыв! Касательно вокала, он именно там, где я хотела. Это соответствует трендами жанра и общему балансу, которого я хотела добиться.
Этот трек слушало очень много опытных ушей до его выхода, включая моего инженера мастеринга Теда Дженсена, который также делал мастеринг к "American Idiot", "The Black Parade" и сотням других знаменитых альбомов, которые я считаю эталонными.
В конечном итоге, у всех есть свое восприятие баланса и предпочтения по громкости разных элементов, но я правда очень довольна тем, насколько данный релиз вышел близким к моей задумке по всем пунктам.
