- Today we begin the MLB The Show 24 Franchise with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cards are far from being one of the weakest teams in baseball, but they do have one of the most uncertain future. This is an experienced team and one of the oldest in the MLB. Every starting pitcher is at least 32 years old. The best two position players have over 10 years experience. The Cardinals will have to rebuild this organization regardless of their success in the near future. I'm excited to work on restoring this franchise to a championship standard that they have not seen in the last decade.

I think there can be a good of both worlds. Showcasing players in the regular season/watching the team develop. Along with everything that happens in the offseason/draft.

DUDE YES! This is the type of series I've been wanting for MLB the show content. I love watching the games without having someone playing as the players as I feel it's more exciting. Definitely should do a "Legends" rebuild as well. Give each roster two legend position players and one legend pitcher. Multi year simulation too. Something like how Clique Productions does his NBA videos
Goldy and Arenado are doing you a huge favor by playing so well that you can't help but trade them. Maxing out their trade value because that's how much they love the team.

I like the faster pace for year 1, but I do really enjoy watching the full game for opening day. Something special about that game.
It'll happen in Year 2. I really wanted to catch up to real time in this episode and get a bunch of action for one video.

Something that’s so huge about MLB the show 24 is the prospect list being able to be sortable now. I feel like the storylines for the prospects you draft will be even more in depth!
The 56 overall Ryan Fernandez has been the Cardinals best reliever besides Helsley.

Excited to see where this series goes. Two favorite moments from the A's series were Vladdy Jr. getting signed and Joe Michael's first big league game, so I can't wait to see some of the new prospects and some unexpected trades.

Obviously we aren’t that bad in real life.. Herrera, Liberatore, Winn, and Donovan have all been good.. Trading Contreras would make a lot of sense if you decide to give Herrera a ratings boost.. Jojo and Kittridge have been excellent

As a cardinals fan i am so pumped for this series! As a guy who watches them religiously I think Donovan should be rated higher in the show. Jordan Walker and Winn should be the clear center pieces for the future maybe throw in Nootbaar but he is older. Excited to see what you do with the squad! Wish you ran the team in real life over the half ass management lol

Faster pace for year 1 and probably 2 is the right move. I always remember the prospects that got brought like Don, Cruz, and of course Michael more than those beginning years. I do still think we should take time on certain players like in the A’s with Berlinger and Nick Gordon and rebuilding their careers
This has strip it down to the studs and flip what you can written all over it. Really looking forward to seeing how you make over this roster because, right now, that 82 win projection seems like a fever dream.

Its weird every pitch release is considered "very late" wonder if that mechanic is working the way you are expecting.
Watched your franchise sense 2017 and I replicate how I play just like you, it’s funny because I end up likening players more in real life if there good in your series, please don’t ever stop posting these!
Since Goldschmidt is already regressing and it will only get worse from this point on, you have to think about WHEN you trade him not if. Striking the iron while it is hot or wait until the Deadline and do a bunch of deals? A lot of options now, but this team really needs an infuse of talent/prospects. I can´t wait to see the first couple of players you are scouting, should be a lot of pitchers among them, Starting and Reliving.
But I guess trading Goldschmidt and Arenado should be an idea to think about and maybe you could get some decent Players in return to better the foundation for the future.
And I am also onboard and speeding up the first season, we all know this team will not be really good and concentrating on the positive highlights would make for a better experience then seeing this team get clobberd.
Pretty hype for this series. A’s is probably my favorite series of yours, excited to see where this one goes. Keep up the great work man.

Make sure to disable manual injuries when you begin swimming games. Players won’t get naturally injured when manual injuries are on.
Donovan is a cheat code and Sonny Gray is also cracked in this game. Y’all should be much better as the season progresses
Also Gorman sims unbelievably well. 50+ homers in years 2+ are not uncommon for him.
I’m sad I’m just late on the start of this series. I’m a big cardinals fan and very into the farm system. Would have loved helping out with adjusting overalls/potentials for the most exciting prospects at all levels of the farm system. If it’s something you’re still interested please let me know. Add some excitement before even drafting any new players.

Tink Hence should be the Cards best pitching prospect by a wide margin but the game doesn’t rate him very highly for some reason. One of many examples of The Show not really researching prospects at all and just throwing ratings out there.

I see Nolan Gorman is still a world class fielder in MLB The Show despite terrible stats. I remember using him out of position at 2nd and he still made diving grabs.
I would be so happy if I never had to see a Cane team play against the Dodgers again. I know they're always that team to catch but ever since the Rockies franchise I feel like I see them in my nightmares still.

Flashes of greatness with a lot of mediocre. No overnight fix here, only the long haul but I'm truly excited to watch the transformation!

Man I'm excited for this. I do think you trade both Arenado and Goldschmidt mid season. Really try and capitalize on reloading the farm system. Especially SP with actual strikeout stuff

That same pitch that was a walk to Taylor in the 2nd inning, was a strike out of arenado the previous game. Inconsistent umpiring 🤦♂️
There is a different ump each game of the series so it makes sense that one ump had a different strike zone than another

Hello! This might be a long shot but I noticed when the pitcher gathers up the baseball doesn’t teleport directly into his hands and looks all buggy. Can anyone tell me why this is happening to me? I play on ps5 and I wonder if it has to do with settings other stuff. If anyone can let me know what I can do to fix this!!
