    I like to follow you , as I'm left handed too, just started to paint at the age of 70, so thank you so much for helping me under standing the way to paint

    I so enjoyed painting the cow parsley meadow with you, am thrilled you have created this gorgeous poppy meadow in the same style! We have been in lockdown in Sydney, Australia for quite a few weeks now, your flower tutorials are keeping me sane! Many, many thanks Harriet!

    I love how you kept going back and forth between your garden and the painting. It was an inspiration! Beautiful piece!

      It’s nice to be reminded of the subject where possible. Also an opportunity for Ant to do some more creative filming!

    So happy to have found you. You are not only talented but also paint with the left hand like me. As a beginner it is so much easier for me to watch how you hold the brush and make strokes. Thank you

    Harriet, this was SO wonderful! Your wildflower meadow is breathtaking, as is this painting! Poppies are my absolute favourite and, luckily, we do have some blooming right now in our little wildflower garden. But, oh! Seeing you sitting in your meadow inspired me to 1) expand our wildflower garden and plant more poppies and 2) give this awesome painting a try. Thank you so much for this beautiful experience ❤️

    This is lovely. We can grow Icelandic poppies here in Northern California, but they don’t grow wild. We have California poppies that grow wild and I love them. They aren’t as fragile as the Icelandic poppies and beautiful nonetheless.

    That was really fun to watch. I tried doing it along with you. My poppies were okay, but not laid out as well on the page as yours. They somehow turned out to look more in a row and straight, LOL. I am going to try it again and to be looser and but a bit more thoughtful where I start each stroke so as to have more of the wild field look. Question: Do you think you'll make a book of loose style flower and outdoor landscape art to sell? I would look forward to that if you do it. I am going to purchase your next book when it is out for sale. In the meantime, I have an Amazon order for your first book. I live in Mesquite, Nevada in the USA. The desert has its own kind of beauty, but I miss all the flower variety and greenery of the East Coast USA where I'm from. So, I am wanting to capture it in watercolor!

      @maggimarmion3836 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@deWintonPaperCo great thanks - but do you keep them open all the time? I had a small folding one but sometimes the paints would run into the other side (even after leaving to dry) as some of the tube paints were slightly runnier than the others - but these look really good and have a nice size mixing palette so will def get some 👍😁

    I love your work and decided to work harder on my love of watercolor and purchased your book, "Painting Watercolor Botanicals". I purchased all recommended colors, but missed the Green Cobalt Deep. Can you please recommend an alternative? I have Jadeite Genuine (Daniel Smith), Cascade Green (Daniel Smith), and Cobalt Teal (QOR)...do those sound like they may work? Your thoughts?

    • @deWintonPaperCo
      @deWintonPaperCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the best thing is to try them out and see! The book has colour swatches throughout so if you dont have the exact same colours you can at least see if you have something similar. Thank you so much for buying the book!
