I'm not sure how I have not discovered you before now. Only water coloring for a year or so. LOVING the flowers. Practice, practice!!! I am painting 60-100 (a variety of flowers) invitations at the moment, and I cannot wait to incorporate some of your tips here. I need to binge watch your others videos soon. 💞
Brave brush work...to loosen up and let it go with confidence. Nicely done. The overlapping brought the piece together with the lovely red Poppies and final layers of detail.
Your work is so beautiful. Poppies are one of my favorite flowers. I'm very impressed that you layer over the way you do. I'm definitely in the category of too nervous to try that!
What a beautiful loose composition! I love the effect of the layering -- it's so natural and unstudied-looking, and really captures the essence of a handful of wildflowers. Can't wait to give it a try!
Beautiful! Looking forward to feeling ready to attempt something like this! Back to you earlier tutorials for now though, and your book too. Just taken up watercolour and sketching at 65!! Very little since school so veeery rusty! Thank you for your generosity in making these videos.
I’m a similar age and I recently started a TH-cam channel and a Facebook group to support people like us who need encouragement and help learning to paint in a community. I paint simple subjects in a loose, free and easy style and I offer free downloads of the sketches I do to help you get started without needing to draw. Anyone interested? Please visit my channel and watch some of my stuff, and join the FB group - I’m trying to get this off the ground. Some of us aren’t so young any more, although we feel in our hearts we’re still 21 !!!!
It’s worth experimenting with how long you can leave something as it slowly dries before you add the black. It will still be damp and not travel as far
i know im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
This is so beautiful. I have problems with composition including color composition. My paintings always come out lopsided and the colors seem off. Any advise and if you have a tutorial that covers this that would be amazing. Thank you

Gosh are you painting each one individually?!
@@deWintonPaperCo Yes, I am. It's the best form of practice I can get. I do 6 to a page in stages. Loving it.

@@deWintonPaperCo You are most welcome
Lovely demonstration. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
This is beautiful. Love England's countryside. Bluebells, buttercups, daisies, violets, lavender with rosemary would be gorgeous. Will you?
Absolutely, in a month or two, when we start to see them appear.
This is absolutely stunning. Even the berries are fluid. I love the seeming simplicity of the poppy flowers themselves. Thank you so much!!
Thanks so much 😊 I love painting in this way. It can take a bit of a shift in mindset and just make sure you dont over think it!
Don't know I haven't seen your channel before but very grateful I found it now!
Glad you enjoy it!
I am definitely going to try this. Its gorgeous. Thank you Harriet x
You’re welcome 😊

Thank you for this beautiful tutorial
You’re welcome 😊
It was very good to do this flower'composition. Thank you again.
Thank you! Cheers!
That was helpful! Only my second or third time painting poppies. I find I get blooms in them. But, it’s getting better. Painting daily sure helps!
So glad it was helpful
Beautiful! You are very talented.
Thank you! Cheers!

I keep watching, don’t get tired of it. My black tends to ‘bleed’ to the full flower, I can’t figure out how to keep it contained while working so wet
It’s worth experimenting with how long you can leave something as it slowly dries before you add the black. It will still be damp and not travel as far
As inspiring as usual. Thank you x
You are so welcome!
Your painting looks stunning!🌺
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful picture.
I must admit I cringed when you
Went in with the dark poppies.
But it looks great.
Thank you
Haha! People often think I’m mad when i add shadow and darkness but it always pays off!
So soothing to watch your work. I’m going to give this one a go☺️ Thank you 🙌
I love this one!
This is so amazing. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Wow!! Gosh what a talented lady you are. So beautiful, I haven’t been painting long but I really must give this a try. Love your tutorials.

Thanks for sharing!I will have a think about how best to help
Please could you tell me what make of brushes do you use? Thank you.
I use Pro arte brushes. There is a link in the episode notes
Thank you for your teaching. One small thing I want to say is the background music. I didn’t know how others felt, but I found it a bit disturbing.
I get a variation of comments. Thanks for yours
Lovely!!
Thanks Deb!
