The Dutch Crocus (or Spring Crocus) is another early splash of colour as Winters turns to Spring. I love the different colours and patterns on the crocus petals.

Thank you for your wonderful tutorials. Being new to watercolor I really appreciate that they are produced in real time and not sped up 3-4 times. I also enjoy the variety of camera angles especially the closeups from the side. You are delightful to watch and paint along with. Have a great day or evening to and your camera person.

Oh my, these are exquisitely lovely. I suffer quite badly with anxiety & asthma since birth, my normal resting pulse around 100-110. My husband checks my breathing & oxygen levels a few times a day, & he's gobsmacked that my resting pulse is in the 60s while watching your videos! I just love, love, love your technique. Your flowers look so real, you can almost smell their fragrance!! The most important point however is that you're a leftie ! Now most of your followers are thinking SO? But when you're a lefty (as I am) it's so hard to follow right-handed instructions and get good results. Hi Karen. Yes I struggled with this for ages. You can always add but it’s a bit harder to take away. Practise will also help!

The Crocus is one of my favourite flowers! I spent a Spring semester studying at Oxford in 1995 (I was almost 40yrs old). And I remember the Crocuses popping their heads up out of the soil in several places 😁 Thank you so much for bringing this memory back to me.

Thank you, very nicely done demonstration. Nice to be able to see you actually mixing the colors and giving the names. It would be helpful to know the size of brush for each step. You said large brush but you have several brushes there. You were able to get very fine lines with the brush which I have difficulty doing even though I have very small brushes. You have a very steady hand when drawing those very fine lines with a paint brush! Patricia
I list the different sizes I use in the episode notes. And I try not to discrete specific sizes all the time, more a matter of general size so people don’t feel they have to buy the exact same thing as me and more be able to use what they have

I am having difficulty getting my brushes to hold much paint so was wondering the size you were using that seemed to draw a fine line but also have enough paint to do so. I noticed that the brushes were listed but because I only wanted the small one you were using I couldn't tell. I enjoy your tutorials, they are slow enough to follow and I like that we can see you actually mix the paint.
