Lololol
😂😂😂
You win! 😂😂😂
Never thought I'd see the day Cate showed us her moves on the dancefloor, and damn has she got some moves 😂
i watch tar a decent into madness almost the acadamy award tar blanchett can act sometimes
Eleine is forgotten.
That is seriously impressive to have one of the best actresses in the world dancing for you at Glastonbury.. What a treat for the audience there..
They already have the best band in front of them
I am a professional actor and I can assure you that although some Hollywood actors are very good they are no better or worse than many amazing actors all over the world.
@@grahamrogers3345 I agree, but the actor here is amazingly good at her craft..
@@grahamrogers3345 I second jhickman here. I'm also a professional actor, and. I agree that there a thousands of amazing unknown actors,. Still Cate Blanchett is better actor than I'll ever be, and generally brilliant.
Who is she?
Sparks were the best band at Glastonbury, Cate Blanchett was the icing on the cake, shes incredible.
They stood out for sure.
Tar is trumpist film
Miss eco private jet warrior looked ridiculous.
@@mollyscot1563 Oh no she didn't
Nah rick astley stole the show with the Smiths songs.
Sparks, one of the most creative and inovative bands of all time still in top form. A massive thank you to The Mael brothers for their work
70s years old, bringing back the 70s
They literally repeated the same line for 80% of the song
They suck
@@xF33D yes, and?
@@joekreissl4499 In what way is that 'creative and inovative'?
Just watched Ms. Blanchett in Tar, now her performance with Sparks. She does the Simpsons, a Bob Dylan, etc., whatever fancies her. What an incredible actress. What an incredible person. Nothing she does, should surprise us.
i saw tar thrice she was jogging in german and the one take when tar says jazz is junk what great film making i did not know laugh horrified agog i think blanchett did dylan ms blanchett rocks
Sparks & Galadriel. Mesmerising. 😮
Such a great artist
Cate Blanchett making her unhinged dance at the Glastonbury wasn't on my 2023 bingo card but I'm here for it 💛 absolutely iconic
You win!

@@RollandB💀💀💀
Iconic!?!? It’s totally embarrassing for this poor old lady
I think it would be great if people who say 'wasn't on my bingo card', 'I'm here for it' and 'absolutely iconic' could live in a fucking skip with zero access to the internet for the rest of their lives.
Sparks set was very much the highlight of Glastonbury 2023 IMHO
When you consider these Guys are approaching their Eighties they are incredible and still sounding as good as ever..

Waaaaw🤗 Amazing
Tilda and Cate are just amazing in every way.
This was fantastic. Cate Blanchett is a bloody legend
As an Australian, I whole heartedly agree!
@@petabulmer3317 Cate is loathsome. She detests 99% of Australian people.
Watching this almost hourly just now! Sounds amazing, performance is amazing, and Cate is sublime.❤
Sparks are "Thee Legend !"
She’s the greatest living actress
I was there! Loved the craziness of their music. Didn't really get them back in the 70s and now feel guilty about that. Will deffo go and see them again. Thanks guys.
She looks fantastic. Great outfit. Met her once at Heathrow Airport. She was on her own, no bodyguards or a team with her, just her and her trolley bag. She was lovely and so attractive in the flesh. A great actress.
Is she more attractive and more beautiful in real life (when you met her) than on screen (her movies or her interview on youtube) ?
Awwe lucky you it's refreshing to see them NOT with extra security !!
@@AlexiaHDIntuition she always travelling with no bodyguards, if you google it you will find her photo on train, bus, metro
She ride trains and busses too. She's very low key.
Originally became Sparks fan in 70s, they are still doing it well!!
First time I saw Sparks live was in 1974. I have been a fan since the beginning. The first few records are extremely good.
This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. 😍😍
If any other person does this dance in front of so many people it would be ridiculous and humiliating. But when I saw Cate Blanchett doing this I got hypnotized. She's so amazing😍
the yellow the red headphones the sunnies the amazing blanchett oh and the band the keyboards almost hyponotic
its just a stupid gimmick. Glastonbury is like a middleclass luvie fest and people buy into it because they want to believe in it. It is a sad cliche gimmick.
This was so magical, I was so happy that sparks performed at Glastonbury as I remembered them collaborating with Franz Ferdinand as the band FFS in 2014. I couldn’t believe 8 years after their last performance at Glastonbury they came back. So amazing Cate Blanchett to be on stage with them.
maybe she likes the music
WOW... Love Cate and Sparks and lattes ❤❤❤ what a combo!😅
Blanchette delivers vindication for Dad dancers everywhere.
Forget Elton, this is 2023's iconic Glastonbury moment.
Thank you Kate.
And Sparks. ❤
Omg Dad Dance is the 2023 vibe.
Mr Bean inspired I thought
@@djstumpy7399 Ron Mael was doing that dad dance long before Mr Bean
@@simongamble1436 maybe but I don't know Ron meal I'm afraid. Cheers though gives me something to check out. I'm joking of course I used to get told I look like Ron but I never saw it myself. I don't even have his little tache
it is cate kate is the name of her cnnt
BBC didn't show many clips of SPARKS! I love this track. Sparks continue to amaze with their new songs, some 50 years???!!! since I first saw them on TOTP in early 70s.
The whole set was on iplayer
No. I recorded the whole evening so I could get what turned out to be just the 7 mins or so that the BBC decided to show, comprising of the Latte song + This Town (covering their beginning and their latest, was presumably the editing choice?). Great to hear that the whole set is on iPlayer, but I'm hoping it might be shown on BBC4 sometime as that's much easier for me to watch. :-)
Cate Blanchett - truly amazing.
Great Performance Kate Blanchett with the mighty Sparks!!!!
Just love Cate , such a artist !
Just love it! Remember dancing to Sparks in the 70s--we danced much like this, then!
Cate Blanchett is a rockstar !!
Incredible. Cate is a dream. Sparks are always on point. Wish I was here!!!
I can basically only repeat what I wrote about the video of the studio recording...Here, artists work together who are extraordinary - Cate Blanchett as an actress and Sparks as musicians - and like to work outside the mainstream sometimes. This is so great.
OMG Sparks oh my THIS puts me back for sure 😂 very happy they are still doing their things 😉and dance therapy for Miss Blanchett 🙃
Bravo Cate Blanchett & Sparks!!!!...
these guys are incredible. it's a testement to their success of 57yrs together. bands of today should seriously look up to these guys. how many bands of today (in their early 20's) will still be going strong in 2080? none. that's how many. 🙇 🙏
it is 2080 and they are still virgins
What a great sport that Cate Blanchett is
Wow, so good to see Sparks still going strong and sounding great. The first record I ever bought with my own pocket money was ‘This town ain’t big enough for the both of us’ 😃
i used to have pocket money my right pocket had a whole in it never counted passed three
👏😃❤ До 78 лет (клавишник) и 75 лет (певец) так фонтанировать творчеством - это очень круто. 👋😊❤
Cate I love you and Sparks...you are Legends!
I’ve loved Sparks for decades and finally got to see them live in Wolverhampton the night before this performance. They are still as amazing as they are unique. Great to see them nailing it at Glastonbury too! Thank you to the Mael brothers and their amazing band too !
It is just shocking seeing Sparks new single performed in 2023 and being this good
Could be one of the greatest things I've ever fuckin seen
oh my god, oh my god, she was present!!!!! This song is fabulous
What a wonderful woman respect just for goin to Glasto...
Love Love SPARKS. From the start. As a young boy. And now as an older boy. I have everything of theirs. They just keep getting better and better. They belong in Glastonbury. Come back year after year. PLEASE !! I Love Ron and Russell. And the band. THE BEST !!! Love From Ireland. Eamon. xxxxxx
Goddess with Gods! 👏🏻⭐
Yes, she is qualified enough to be the third member of Sparks.
Today could not have started any better…Sparks with Cate Blanchett as their dancer….omfg…
Cate Blanchett

When Cate was born, Sparks were already rocking.... Amazing
And I like her outfit here
She is the best, I love her ❤❤ and realy good song 👍👍 greetings from Croatia 😘😘
Russel is one amazing singer
I fucking love this.
I've been a fan since 1974. Their new album is amazing!
I have been an air-conditioner since 1971.
I thought I’d find you here!
Just got delivered on vinyl to my house yesterday.
I got the Japanese version of the album yesterday.

Epic! Blanchett is awesome.💛
Who else could entice the likes of Cate onto a Glastonbury stage? She's such a good sport, and such fun.
Genius
What a HOOT!!!!
I love Sparks SO SO SO much
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate that the Mael lads are in their mid-70s and STILL mysterious?
The stage aint big enough for the three of them 😮
That said, Sparks have never lost their spark. Crackling, electrifying and energizing
I see what you did there
Kate Blanchett inspires everyone to move!!
Here for Cate!! loved this!
What a good sport. Class all round
who does it like Sparks 😌✨ the best band, and that’s a fact
😳🤣🤣🤣🙄
Cate absolutely smashing it! ❤❤❤❤
I saw them last week in Wolverhampton, they are absolutely brilliant, the audience couldn’t stop applauding, they looked very moved by the justified adoration. See them live if you get the chance just pure magic❤
Ditto. I was there too. A fantastic night :-)
I was also there 😊
I saw them in the mid 1970’s - they were amazing and nearly 50 years later it remains the best concert I have ever been to!
@@Barneysma I was there as well, plus Oxford and the second night at the RAH, brilliant band.
Seen them o2 academy in Leeds 2017......
Great night great band ❤❤
Galadriel knows how to get down!
CATE BLANCHETT AN ICON A LEGEND AND A MOMENT
Good to see people experiencing this in the best way possible. Staring at the back of a phone while recording it, instead of watching it live, in the moment.
So great that they finished their 2023 European tour strong! Saw them a couple of weeks ago in Berlin, which was an amazing show. Anyone who gets to see Sparks in concert is in for an unforgettable treat. Much love to Ron and Russell and the band, who continue to surprise us decade after decade.
They are all so cool ❤❤❤
she was in fucking Glastonbury 2023 and I WASNT THERE?!😭😭😭😭 no stop cuz im legit cryinggggg
Two great things that go great together.
I don't understand why are they so underrated.
They are not underrated. They've sold millions of records, it's just that spontaneous international success has eluded them. They should have been as big as The Rolling Stones, U2, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen and Prince where record sales were concerned. If this set is anything to go by, it might just happen for them finally.
@@dariowestern I've seen you post on Sparks fans sites so I know you're a fan, me also but I don't want them to get too big. I like to feel a bit smug that I get them but not many do ;0)
How could she become even cooler?! Awesome performance!
cate is amazing and iconic ❤
This darn song has left me with the most surprising ear worm. I never expected that.
This was so so good! ❤
I wasn't expecting this band to be in my playlist this year. Awesome stuff!
This was seriously hypnotic. Loved it 😎👌
The coolest thing on earth right now
I was there and it was the highlight of the festival for me.
Just fantastic & uplifting
my girl is ICONIC
I love Cate Blanchett, she has been my celebrity crush for years! An absolute legend of a lady. 10/10, living in Glastonbury, I was gutted to know she was there. Welcome to my neck of the woods.
This is so cool and awesome from last night’s music festival in England! 😍😍 Cate is the best, coolest badass boss of all time! 😎😎🤩🤩
#lovecateblanchett
Sparks is the reason I still listen to modern music, if it weren't for the hits, I would be listening to Olde 70's hippy music drinking camomile tea in a china cup. INSTEAD I'm Hammering on this Latte Yeah I'm Hammering on this Latte WOW
Born in 1945, 48 and 68. They totally rock 🤩
*69 bruh
@@fizahfizzy1845 Nice
Amazing, so Special.
Music changes through the years but there is always room left in there somewhere for Sparks
Love them so much ❤ greetings from Thailand 🇹🇭
We love you cate
What! I didn't realise Sparks were still going... and looking great. I was in my 4th year at secondary school in 1974, when "This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us"" was no.2 in the UK charts. Ron on the keyboard has proved my theory that staying still slows down the ageing process.
Beat the clock was the first vinyl i ever bought. Saved up my pocket money
Love it! The legendary Mael brothers, a beautiful Oscar-winning actor, a catchy song with infectious hooks, and funky dancing!
I love this so much ! So goofy and fun, everything i need ❤
WOW! My favourite actress …….wonderful! I knew she was special when I first saw her in Heartland!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
legends!!!!
it's good to see that Cate Blanchett is literally up for anything. No pretense with her.
An absolute legend!
Outstanding. I'm looking forward to the Hollywood bowl show in July.
Saw them three times on the UK tour, you're in for a treat, enjoy it.
I can't love this MORE
