The hardest part here is Monitoring the camera but switching your profiles on the Q menu or switching from VIDEO to PHOTO on the dial with Creative Video Combined to judge color temp etc is doable. Plus you can always grab an external monitor that can plug in luts too.

    GH7 specific question.
I would love to see how Arri Log C3 compares to using real time lut to convert the footage from V-log to Log C3 in camera. How different would the image look?

      I couldn’t say since I didn’t pay the extra $200 for LogC3…

I think if you have to shoot alongise other Sony shooters, the other LUT to have would be a Sony S-Cinetone picture profile, since that seems to be quite popular for SOC delivery (despite the fact that I really dislike the way S-Cinetone looks).

Exactly realtime lut name is wrong. It shouldn't be irreversable process. It's the same terminology sony uses like Creative style or picture profiles. I know it's not exactly the same thing technically but achieves almost the same thing. Word lut is popular because it's also usable in post production.

Even Panasonic S5IIX has no auto ND and suffers from rolling shutter. Plus has overheating issue. They are toys. I don't know why video professionals overlook their importance in their videos every time. It's like using a wood drill bit to make la hole in the concrete. You will eventually melt the bit.😆.
