- Hey, this is Snazzy. I earned that trail name on my first thru hike the PCT in 2019 since then I’ve completed the Appalachian Trail in 2021 and now I am going for the Triple Crown title on the CDT this year in 2024. Thanks for following along as I make my way from Mexico to Canada.

Hey, my brother and I have been following you since the Crazy Cook monument and Lordsburg. Nice that you’re getting over the monumental foot blister. I lived in NM in recent years and was very familiar with the area. I can say I’ve been through Pie Town, Cuba, Chama, and Pagosa Springs though not hiking. I’m a BMX racer.

Awesome views! Just to be clear, I’m referring to the mountain shots😂 That was quite the steep snow traverse! I was hiking the CDT section after Wolf Creek Pass that same day (I’m pretty sure). I was getting caught in hailstorms all day - ended up with a wet down sleeping bag that night and had to bail out just before the Knife Edge to get things dried out! It’s been a rainy couple of weeks! You’re doing awesome!
Haha yeah right! Yeah. Other than the storms it’s absolutely perfect out here. Been definitely spending extra time making sure my things are dry for the next night/day. Multiple nights in a row with rain don’t work well for me

I’m the Sierra at high elevations you can count on daily afternoon rain/hail and thunder/lightning. Usually stops in the evening and clear by morning. Those high mountains create their own weather.
No doubt! Been learning the hard way. It’s really all about luck and timing it’s raining somewhere just depends if that’s where you are🤷♂️
This has been a strange early summer. Normally once we get our last snow in May early June, It is just hot. You are doing great.

Amazing day! They are that red! Never seen them look like that. Sometimes they have a purple hue to them as well. So neat!!
