Another dedicated follower who has seen you grow into an amazing, experienced and skilled hiker. You've learned a lot. Keeping your commitment to the kids and the camp shows your teue character and wouldn't expect anything less. Yo Stick- not a dry eye in the audience- we are so grateful for your service , posts, spirit , advice/ tips , singing, bravery , wisdom, and looking forward to seeing you soon- we really love and appreciate you! Enjoy the job, but come on back here when the time is right -( please!) we all wish you the best - Stay blessed my brother ! 🚴🏼♂️🌲🍄🌱🧘🏼🙏 New trekking poles? - why not- bring the old ones too, just until they fall apart- ha! Stick, you are a great ambassador for your generation and a good leader for the young scouts you will be working with at camp. Yes, before you return to trail, get new trekking poles, you do not want to risk additional injury with a damaged pole. Looking forward to watching you finish the trail in later this summer.
Omg Stick I’m crying with you! Thank you for sharing so much of your adventure with us…I know you will be back to finish…I’m so proud of you for getting this far and so happy you stayed true to your commitment to Scout Camp! Those guys are so incredibly lucky to have you to learn from❤Be Well…Take Care of yourself and rest up before you come back for a strong finish🎉We will miss you!!
Stick my daughter and I have been watching you from the beginning. You have stayed true to your commitments and yourself, and learned so much! What a successful hike! We are so excited to get back in the trail with you after Scout Camp. Please post occasionally so we know how you’re doing. Jesus is so proud of you and go make a difference in those young kids lives. The AT will be there when you get back. ❤. Love from Idaho. PS Get new poles! 😊
I hope you’re having a wonderful Scout Camp! I am going to miss your daily videos and hanging out with you for a bit of my day! Looking forward to the day you can return and finish the AT! Happy Trails, Stick & Thank You for the journey!
It's a weird dichotomy. You don't know us but we all feel that you're a best friend. Been watching since your train trip south. As I sit here in my cubicle with a stress fracture from hiking too far to quickly last week, ugh... I (we) really appreciate being able to live the trail through you and watch you grow each day my friend. There is no one on the trail quite like you. But scout camp is something that you need to do. And now even mores with your new experience. Consider letting us know how Nickels and Frizzel do. If others are like me they are sort of invested in their journey as well through you. Come back on the trail in a couple months. None of us want this to be the end of seeing a new friend. Stay safe and thank you!!! Oh....and keep the trekking poles you have for the rest of the trail. Just take them apart and clean them well.
Thank you, friend! I definitely have grown in my knowledge of backpacking and love for the mountains on this hike. It has been so so rewarding… and this will not be the last you see of me if you choose to stick around. I will be following Frizzle and Nickels too.
I'm not crying.... you're crying... 😢 It has been a pleasure to be along with you on this journey. I have watched from day 1 and patiently wait for your return to finish... whenever that may be... it's not goodbye but a "so long" for now... may you head to Scouts' camp, armed with Skittles, and ready to fulfill another journey. Thank You, Brian aka Stick The Eagle for embracing the journey and... Happy Trails! 👟🎒🪨🗻🌲⛺️💚🥾🥫
You get the same certificate of completion when ever you're able to finish. You will still be a thru hiker. Looking forward to your final 350 and summit!
Your time on the AT has given you depth of character. You have so much to offer those at camp and you will do well. We all will be looking to see you back on the trail to finish this fall.
I hope so! Just need others to give me the chance at a job somewhere so that I can prove my commitment. Some will always believe that success is having a good job, but I know it can be more relative than that.
I have watched you every day. You made a valiant effort to move along and enjoy the trail at the same time. I'm glad you will have some time to rest your feet and gain some weight. Enjoy summer camp and hopefully you can finish the journey before you get on with your life. Happy Trails!!!!!
Sadly, I didn't follow your journey, but happy I did find you!. I cannot say do or do not continue the trail (I know you are already off) but to stay true to yourself. I can say, it's so much harder to finish something if you pause it, but I love your commitment to the scouts. I'm going to guess from your trail name, you are an Eagle Scout. So much admiration there, I am a mom of an Eagle Scout and know the work that goes into it. Enjoy your camp experience and I am going to follow you, for when you do get back on the trail!! P.S. Write down your song 'Come Along'. Wonderful memories there. 🎉🎉
Keep the videos coming while at camp. I have enjoyed watching your trek North on the AT been watching since NC. I'll be watching for your return to the trail. Enjoy your job and hope to see you back on the trail after camp. "Happy Trails". 🦅🇺🇲🙏🏻
I think new poles for your return. You need to be able to count on them for your tent and for river crossings. Think about how injured you could be coming down a mountain and having your pole give out when you put your weight on it. Be safe, new poles.
Have a great time at camp! Get your feet and knee rested, eat well and get strong! Can’t wait to see you back to finish the whites, hike the 100 mile wilderness and of course, Mama K! This brief break will help you savory the finale. Happy trails!
Best wishes with Camp. Thanks for sharing your journey. It has been wonderful. Hope to see you in the Fall to complete the trail to Kahtadin!! Take care.
We so enjoyed the adventure Stick. We hope to see you healed up, stronger, and back on trail in the fall. But if not, wherever life leads you, you’ll be fine. You have faith, family and friends-and now a lot more acquaintances! Best wishes!!!! PS: nice idea but get new trekking poles that you can rely on. The pack is for the long haul, and that infamous red long sleeve mid layer is your real trademark :)
I’ve enjoyed watching and listening to your wisdom and experiences. Thank you for sharing so much with your audience. Remember to try and embrace each journey your path takes you. Time goes by so fast and you have so much ahead of you to love and enjoy. Wishing you the very best life has to offer. CARPE DIEM from Georgia.
What an emotional last day for us all. I’ve been with you from the beginning and have enjoyed all the time hiking with you. I’m on a health journey and your vlogs have kept me positive and motivated to one day get back on trail. Good luck and have fun at camp. Embrace the journey!
I enjoyed following your journey, and I'll be looking forward to you coming back. Thank you, Stick! Enjoy your summer job. The scouts are lucky to have you.
Stick, Congratulations on 1,848 miles of hiking on the AT. Thanks for sharing. Embrace you journey at scout camp. The remaining 344 miles of the AT will be waiting for a refreshed Stick when ever you get to it.
You have inspired me on my future AT hike. I loved your positive attitude and how you embrace the journey. I think when I do my hike in a few years about 65 years young I too may become a You Tube sensation. Big shoes to step into.
Nicely done to get this far! The remainder will be there for you later. Thankful for your commitment to the Boy Scouts - hoping you have a blessed time!
Awww, this is bittersweet.😢 I know we all really enjoyed our journey with you. It's been quite the adventure, to say the least. Im going to miss your spiritual talks, your positivity, singing, and 12 o'clock tip of the day. But camps gonna be great, and it'll give you some time to heal up and get your body back in shape. We'll be here for whatever you have going on next. It should only take you a few weeks to do 349 if you decide to finish the AT. I heard you might have company if you come back for fall. I bet it is going to be strange not talking to your phone and knowing a bunch of us are there with you❤ Wow, the trail just keeps giving. The scenery, the new friends, the magic. Have yourself a wonderful time off trail and say hi to Slip and the guys at camp. And probably one of the best things about going home is that your kittys will be so happy you're home. Oh, and yes, get new poles if you can't jb weld them or something. Remember to always embrace the journey, whatever it may be, and happy trails ❤ ✌️🫶
Happy to see Frizzle say hi to you in the log book. Nice last day for now and trail magic! You will finish the trail. If’s job comes up, it may not be a thru hike but you’ll still have hiked the entire A.T. But you’ll finish and bet you’ll be doing some more if the Whites in the future. I know you’re enjoying scout camp.😊❤
It has been an absolute joy following your AT journey… the trail provided you with Trail Magic on your way out because you have shown it so much appreciation the entire time… Embrace your journey and Happy Trails Stick the Eagle…. 🥾 To be continued… 👍🏼
What an epic adventure we have had! Thank you sincerely for all you have done taking us along with you! We have great memories to hold us over till fall! GET NEW POLES! I love my Leki poles and highly recommend them! I am starting My thru hike of the Allegheny trail in West Virginia mid August and I hope to be home to finish your AT adventure from my sweet home in Alabama!❤ much love and prayers sent your way stick the Eagle!
Enjoy your thru hike and let me know how you like that trail!! I remember being at that trail head in the cold and snow sometime in April!! I didn’t stay there too long.
Got speed brother! We will be holding your spot here on TH-cam waiting for you to return to trail from your wonderful boy scout camp! You have so much to offer the boys, and all of us in the future. The boys at camp this year will not forget your tales of the trail and be inspired! Never second guess yourself. Your ministry continues! There will be new friends and beautiful fall colors to await you!
Good job, come back and finish the trail! Go to scout camp and if your not already eat a lot! I know Job offers present themselves etc, but honestly this is a experience of a lifetime for a lot of people. Go back out and get it done you’ll be happy you did! I’ve watched every video and plan to watch them all when you come back! Fellow Eagle Scout Troop 54 NJ!
I will miss virtually hiking along with you Stick. Your Vlogs have brought much joy to myself and so many of us. I know you will be blessed and will bless many others while at camp. Looking forward to your return to the A.T. ( with new trekking poles. lol! ). God Bless You! 🤗
Stick try not to think of this as an ending. Merely a pause. The trail is always there. You will return I’m sure. Enjoy camp! We all wish you the best and much success! And when you return and finish New Hampshire, Mt. Success will be there waiting for you!
Thank you so much Stick!! You had to go to that next blaze!!! Hahaha ! You love the trail for sure! We’ve loved watching you push north❤️. Have a great scout camp this year. Thanks again!
Have a blessed summer, Bryan. As the father of an Eagle scout and an Eagle scout myself, I appreciate your commitment to the organization and to your camp job. A Coke and a smile at the end. How appropriate. I’ll be watching for future content and for your return to trail. God Bless, my friend.
Scouts is so meaningful to me too. I love that I can still be involved through summer camp when I am not rooted enough currently to be regularly involved with a local troop.
Amazing hike! I’ve enjoyed watching your progress! I know you will be back! You have the best/hardest part of the trail left to complete! Happiest Adventures! 🦋
I've been watching you from the beginning of your hike. I started stretching out your videos the last week or so to make them last longer. It's been a joy to have followed your hike and I'm hoping to see you back at the end of the summer.
Stick, with tears, I watch and pray for you. We will miss you so much. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I'm so very proud of you. You are a man of your word. Keeping your promise to the Scouts is wonderful. Please do come back when you can. We will be waiting for you on the trail. I remind you to embrace the journey and, as always, Happy Trails. God bless you and keep you ever in His care.
I hope you will get to finish your journey. Mine starts March 25, i am so excited to start. Happy trails to you, enjoy your journey at camp and looking forward to your return.
From an old Eagle Scout to a young-man Eagle Scout who doesn’t need my advice. I hope this serves as encouragement and support. The two Scout Laws that have affected me more in relationships in my life have been Trustworthy and Loyal. You are right to do the job you committed too. The young people in the camp are counting on you being there. We will be here when you get back and decide to finish the trail. Have a great summer and help change some lives.
Have enjoyed watching your journey and hope you are able to make it back this year. I put together the videos for Maynard Hikes and watch you as I am working on them. It was fun watching you catch and pass him. Who knows - maybe you’ll be back in time to summit Katahdin with him!
Congratulations on your journey! You are a treasure of a person! My family hears me say, "I just love that kid ! He's such a great human being !" Many videos ago, it was fun when I realized I have the same poles as you ...the red Trail Buddy poles ! I named mine "Peppermint Sticks" And such a poignant and meaningful juncture ...we learned of Ethan Pond during your journey. My 11 yr old Grandson is my video watch Buddy and his name is Ethan. Special journey! Thank you for all the positive and beautiful lessons shared during your hike. All the best !
So so kind. I try to be the best person I can be. Thanks for seeing and affirming that. All the best to you and your grandson and perhaps you will stick around.
Looking forward to see you finish this fall. What a wonderful thing to have to look forward to for you! Enjoy Scout Camp, you have many lessons to share!
A loyal follower and man am I going to miss your vlogs. Your hard work, dedication and positive attitude are truly admirable. You are a true role model and we are grateful for your examples. You have become such an important part of our lives. We love you and wish you a wonderful summer. Take care and can’t wait for your return. ❤
So proud of you. The trail will always be there for you. Thanks for your commitment to summer camp. You will be rewarded with great weather and beautiful views in the fall. You've got this. Mama K is waiting.
My husband and I have watched you from the beginning and have enjoyed every step with you. We will miss you. Enjoy your time at camp with the kids. They are blessed to have you. You are a rare young man full of wisdom and integrity. LORD willing I hope you get to finish your hike in the fall after you are rested and healed and well fed. See you then.
Congrats on the 1,800+ miles on the AT! So proud of you sticking to your commitment to camp. You’ll be able to impact so many kids. Thought about you yesterday as I was talking to my two nephews that just got back from camp and had such a great time here in North GA! As many have said, the AT isn’t going anywhere. Your journey isn’t finished yet, just on a temporary pause. Looking forward to this fall to see you finish! Btw - yes on getting new poles😀
Get new tips for your poles if you can. I replaced the tips on mine on the AT. If it isn’t possible with the type of poles you have, definitely get new ones. The last miles of the trail continue to be tough like the whites through most of Maine, then you hit the river crossings. You need poles for both.
You have a wonderful attitude and a peaceful, gentle spirit. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I have modified my gear and expectations based on your experience. My plans are to step off Springer on 11 March 2025. I wish you all the best and keep on singing!
I am so glad that you are modifying expectations. If you let expectations control your hike, you will be miserable. I would bet that you will also change out some gear as you find out what works best for you on the actual hike. I wish you all the best; let the attitude and gentle spirit spread to those you meet!
Could you give us a recap of your gear? What worked well and what did not work and why. It would be wonderful to hear your reflections as you think back on your journey. Sending you good vibes!
@@sheridelaney1415 That's good! Some of the gear that I sent home is still in odd places so once I gather everything together again I can do a comprehensive review of everything.
Loved the Spring Finale tagline! So looking forward to the Fall Premier and know that if for some reason it gets cancelled it will be for a very good reason for you future. Can we root for both? A great new opportunity that starts on say Oct 15th?!?!? Anyway, this adventure has been a spectacular success already. So thankful that you decided to capture your journey and have shared it with us. So amazed at how many people are following and truly invested in you, not only as a AT thru-hiker, but as a person. So happy for the friends you have made and look forward to hearing about their summits. And from someone who has truly been with you from the very beginning, it was good to see your emotions on such a significant day. First time I have not seen you 100% excited for camp to start ... but it is for a very good reason. So proud of you and how far you have come ... literally. Have a wonderful summer, hope to see you soon, and it would be an honor to drop you back off at Crawford Notch in late August. Embrace the Journey and Happy Trails!
I have ❤’d watching your daily vlogs. Enjoy your time at camp, but really hope to see you return to the AT after and FINISH the thru-hike! I’ll stay subscribed and hope for an update.
Sad to see you go off trail, but I have episodes I need to caught up on. Please post more on your scout camp etc. Look forward to seeing you at the katahdin sign
Greetings, Stick! We met you in the parking lot of 17A by the Creamery in NY, while we were on our annual section hike. Congrats on making it part way through the Whites!! You have more guts than I think I have. About 10 miles out from where we met you, on Buchanan Mtn, I fell backwards while climbing a 60 degree angle up the rocks. I hit my head on the rocks and was bleeding. Got to the road, and got help to make it to an Urgent Care where I got patched up. My wife & I did finish our section hike, and got off in Kent, CT. I thought NY was some of the toughest terrain we had come across since Springer Mountain. Anyway, I discovered that I like hiking, but I am not fond of the technical stuff, so I may never do NH or Maine. But our journey has taken us 7 years and 1474 miles. We will see what happens next year. I hope you get to finish in Aug or Sep. I feel God has his hand on you...He has a great future for you, mark my words! I love your positive attitude...I could learn some things from you! (I am 68 years old at present.) Take care my friend, and may the Lord bless you!!! Chief & Zipfizz from Michigan
I remember you and I also remember Buchanan well; it was a tough climb. New York I think is the third hardest state because of the technical climbs. I will say that until Moosilauke in NH, the climbs aren’t too technical. Thanks for your reminder and God bless you too. I am so glad that you are okay.
You'll be back. Maybe not this summer or next, but you'll be back. Keep the sticks at home, never throw them away but get new ones to finish the adventure. Sure hope we can get some scout camp videos! As for my journey, it's off to Vermont tomorrow for trail magic number 118.
@@sticktheeagle Videos of the scouts would no doubt break the rules. A few years ago I took the "two adult rule" training course. (don't remember the name of it.)
Ooh, a cliffhanger for the spring finale! I'm hoping to catch the fall season as well. 😁. You have provided us many hours of enjoyment with your fantastic, wonderful videos! Even my husband said that they are the best he's ever seen and he does not give praise lightly. Did you watch Rambino's video talking about you getting off-trail. He said you were one of his best correspondents!
Yes I did. I love checking in on Ramdinos updates. Thank your husband for me too. So glad you have enjoyed watching the Spring Season and I so appreciate your dedication and support. It’s meant a lot to me along the way, reading your comments.
Congratulations Stick the Eagle with the 1800 miles! It's been a pleasure following you. I've enjoyed all of your videos. You're a highly motivated young man and I'm sure that you'll be back to finish the trail. Enjoy your summer with kids and maybe you can get to do some trail matience with them or go on a hike or two and share what you've learned on trail. May God richly bless you in everything that you say or do. Hope to see you soon. God Bless🙏💖
Stick, I’m going to miss you😔. You have been so incredibly inspiring! Your summer job is going to be amazing as you will touch the lives of so many others. I hope to see you in the fall. Possibly start at Katadan and hike south so the weather doesn’t interfere with your completion of the trail. Stay well my friend 😊🙏🏼

Wonderful!! And you can embrace your journey on your hike! Let me know if you do blog it!
Hope you can come back to finish your journey have a wonderful summer at camp
I hope so too! Thanks!
Nicely done to get this far! The remainder will be there for you later.
Thankful for your commitment to the Boy Scouts - hoping you have a blessed time!
Hey it’s day 1 without you Stick. Miss you. Hope all is well at camp!!!
Remember to always embrace the journey, whatever it may be, and happy trails ❤
✌️🫶
Yes, May have company. There is a positive side to every moment, and you do a great job of focusing on that here too!
Sending you love and Godspeed in your purpose to lead and guide kids. You did a great great hike and you should be incredibly proud of yourself!
You will finish the AT yay u got so far when u come back it I’ll be a breeze , good luck at Boy Scout camp
I think I will be doing a lot more of the Whites in the future. They are so beautiful. I’ll just take one day at a time… and see how life goes.
It has been an absolute joy following your AT journey… the trail provided you with Trail Magic on your way out because you have shown it so much appreciation the entire time… Embrace your journey and Happy Trails Stick the Eagle…. 🥾 To be continued… 👍🏼
You will be back, and we'll all be right here waiting for you.
You're doing the right thing. Anyway, NH and Maine are so much better in the fall. Worth the wait.
Stick keep that pack loaded will be waiting for future vid hike on my friend 🚶🚶👍👍
So sad to see your journey end, but we look forward to seeing what lies ahead for you.
I will miss virtually hiking along with you Stick. Your Vlogs have brought much joy to myself and so many of us.
I know you will be blessed and will bless many others while at camp. Looking forward to your return to the A.T. ( with new trekking poles. lol! ). God Bless You! 🤗
That means so much to me. Thanks for saying that.
Well ,have a great summer Scouting. Catch you on the flip side!
Stick try not to think of this as an ending. Merely a pause. The trail is always there. You will return I’m sure. Enjoy camp! We all wish you the best and much success! And when you return and finish New Hampshire, Mt. Success will be there waiting for you!
Can't wait! We will be there, Mt Success!
Thank you so much Stick!! You had to go to that next blaze!!! Hahaha ! You love the trail for sure! We’ve loved watching you push north❤️. Have a great scout camp this year. Thanks again!
Best wishes Stick. Life got in the way and I got so far behind on your hike. I will go back to 52 and follow the rest.
I will be back!!
My wife and I have enjoyed your journey so far. Your a great person and have made us smile so many times.
Stick, with tears, I watch and pray for you. We will miss you so much. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I'm so very proud of you. You are a man of your word. Keeping your promise to the Scouts
is wonderful. Please do come back when you can. We will be waiting for you on the trail. I remind you to embrace the journey and, as always, Happy Trails. God bless you and keep you ever in His care.
Thank you, I will
I have loved your journey: I hope I will get to finish with you in the future!
I hope you will get to finish your journey. Mine starts March 25, i am so excited to start. Happy trails to you, enjoy your journey at camp and looking forward to your return.
I remember that kind of excitement. It’s like it was yesterday. Enjoy your journey!!
Perhaps!! I was so glad to have met him!!
God is with you, if you want to finish your journey, God will make it happen. Always on his time line be patient. ❤️
Awaiting your return to trail brother. I pray you have a great summer at camp.
Congratulations on your journey! You are a treasure of a person! My family hears me say, "I just love that kid ! He's such a great human being !"
Many videos ago, it was fun when I realized I have the same poles as you ...the red Trail Buddy poles ! I named mine "Peppermint Sticks"
And such a poignant and meaningful juncture ...we learned of Ethan Pond during your journey.
Thank you so much 😊
So proud of you.
See you then.
good luck with camp. you are an inspiration. ❤
Good luck at the summer camp…your journey has been awesome so far…take care!
What a journey!
350 miles will still be there when camp is over. Maybe a silver lining in the new plan.
I have followed every step. I know you will be back to finish.
Such a lovely young lady!
A journey embraced. A commitment honoured. Lot’s done; more to do. Thank you for the inspiring adventure. 🙏🏻
Watched your entire journey. Best of luck this summer and look forward to you being back on trail
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! This is why I love camp. And thanks for the recommendation on new poles.
I'm crying my eyes out lol
I hope you get to finish the AT. Lordy I'm going to miss you 😔
I hope so too! And I’ll miss you too..
I hope to see ya finish, but you have such a amazing journey done on the AT . Happy trails
Get new tips for your poles if you can. I replaced the tips on mine on the AT. If it isn’t possible with the type of poles you have, definitely get new ones. The last miles of the trail continue to be tough like the whites through most of Maine, then you hit the river crossings. You need poles for both.
Great tip. Thank you for your advice.
I'm sad I ca't wait to see you back
Summer camp is going to be great. I would love to do that 1 more summer
So very thankful for this incredible journey and your immense support along the way.
I have ❤’d watching your daily vlogs. Enjoy your time at camp, but really hope to see you return to the AT after and FINISH the thru-hike!
I’ll stay subscribed and hope for an update.
That's the plan!
I will be back. I may be able to do some limited videos from camp, without scouts in them.
@@sticktheeagle Videos of the scouts would no doubt break the rules. A few years ago I took the "two adult rule" training course. (don't remember the name of it.)
@@SpinelessCougar Youth Protection Training!
God Bless🙏💖
Enjoy your summer camp!!
Thank you for sharing your heart and your AT journey! God bless you for keeping your commitment to the Boy Scouts! 😊 ❤
