    I've been using Cinema for a long time. It's accounts for a good part of my income. But occasionally I get pulled away on other types of jobs (2D After Effects) for a long stretch, and when that happens, I absolutely love watching your tutorials to help me get back on track and as confidence builders. Your tutorials are amazing!!! Plus, I love how you often include the UV phase of the process. Please keep up the great work and thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

    I like modeling in C4d. Yes it can be hard and difficult sometimes and take a lot of time to solve some topology problems. But if you understand how it works you will have a deep knowledge to use it in other apps.

    Great tutorial!
    I love it when you try to keep things simple, but one thing I really want to see in future tutorials, when it comes to UV unwrapping, most of the time you just do stuff without fully explaining them.
    For example, when you select stuff to unwrap, seems or whatever it's called, can you maybe try to explain what are you looking for and why select these seems or what are you looking for.
    other than that I really enjoy your tutorials and I learn a lot from them! keep up the great work!

      Thank you very much for your comment; I really appreciate it! I would like to explain everything, but doing this in every tutorial would be both exhausting and incredibly long to make. That is why I try to classify every tutorial; for example, this is an advanced one (it is in the advanced tutorial playlist), so I skipped some basic or fundamental explanations. For beginners, I have a beginner-friendly tutorial playlist in which I try to explain every move I make, just like you said.

    Just to comment on the first part of the video, its super important to know how to model complex shapes like this in cinema/blender because very often I will get a file from a client which they created in solidworks etc and it will have a lot of very sharp edges which cant then have bevels applied to them so I have to recreate the part and your videos have helped massively with this so thank you.

    Even though I use blender but your tutorial is absolutely great especially because it include uv mapping part also.
    Little thing I was thinking that on two side curved surfaces it becomes very difficult to adjust the vertices because it ruins the curvature so I think for such hard surface software like plasticity do a better job, also when we step forward on applying subdivision, we filled with the fear of losing flexibility in shape in case we have to do any changes in primary curvature. I know we can make a backup but we have to adjust forward history. However along with blender I also used 3DS Max which solve this issue by using edit poly modifier to have total control over any level of sub division but Blender and cinema 4D lack such functionality. Even UV mapping is also added as modifier in 3DS Max. Retopology is also work as modifier which gives you total flexibility on your history.
    Please comment your view on this topic.

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you are absolutely right about the edit poly modifier; C4D needs a deformer like it. Right now, you have to make objects editable to proceed, which destroys the flexibility, so my biggest wish for the upcoming versions is to have a similar deformer or system.

    Very cool, my friend. Is there a way for beginners to make a uv map?

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you can use automatic UV tools like packed one.

    I Polygonpen! Do you know how could I scale a selection of polígonos based in their individual origins? I can't do that. Thank you very much

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can right click on one of the axis right after you select the polygons, in this new menu, you will find orientation ans position of the axis, these options will solve your problem.
