These things were already in the original version: Stabilizers power gloves Different colored suits (after beating the game) Being able to use a carrier on a zip line looks like it would completely change the game for me. Ditto for the new roads near the mountains.
Death Stranding is a beautiful metaphor for life. We all have to carry baggage every day. Some day more then others. Some days is almost impossible. It takes us so long to get to were we need to. Then when we finally get rid of the baggage, we are given more! It never ends. The journey is not always fun. Sometimes it flying down a highway. Though, mostly it's harsh terrain. Where we are haunted by ghosts of the past, and people the wanna beat us up and steal our stuff. We forget what's around us though. How beautiful it all is. In the thick of it, it's all still so beautiful. Even after its all been destroyed......

Gun range is a big improvement as it actually helps you prepare for the main quest. Was just playing it non lethal and sneaky all the time, and then the story drops you in a full blown combat scenario every so often, nothing prepared me for any of that!
Now if they would only contract an energy drink company such as Monster to make an actual Bridges Energy drink irl, even if it was a limited time thing, I’d totally buy some of those.
1:11 Wrong. It is a real ultra wide screen mode with increased fov. There is no content cut from the picture, it's the other way around (content ist cut from the wide screen mode left and right to fit the picture of the standard mode into 16:9 ratio). Even the cutscenes have more information now left and right, with the ultra wide screen mode.
It's not real in the sense that you can't play on an ultra-wide display without bars because there simply is no support for that on the PS5. It just outputs a standard 16:9 aspect ratio with bars. While the picture is indeed ultra-wide with the expected fov increase, it's not ultra-wide in what one would expect in a technical sense, in all the ways that it is often talked about in the industry.

The ultrawide option looks really cool. One of the biggest draws to play games on PC for me is being able to play in 21:9 or wider - I'd love to see more PS5 games emulate that with top/bottom letterboxing like this. With a large TV, cutting the vertical pixels seems like it would be worth the increased FOV

As someone who played through the OG death stranding on PC in 1080p Ultrawide 21:9 it was vastly superior being able to see more about Sam and more of the beautiful environment. This letter box feature allows people to play Ultrawide with a normal 16:9 monitor, which is awesome for someone like me who wants to play UW but had to upgrade to a 1440p 16:9 monitor instead. 21:9 will always be superior to 16:9 but for some reason normal monitors are always 16:9 (despite the fact that 16:10 is still better than 16:9.. and 21:9 is better than 16:9 too, it seems we've gone backwards somehow).

Also there is new content even in the first episodes already amd knowimg Kojima there will be secrets and hidden stuff. Games feels different and better. Love it all over again.

Quality mode does have frame rate dips, and the ultra wide mode isn’t simply adding black bars, it does indeed increase the FOV. Didn’t expect much from IGN but just wanted to make sure others know.
Native 4k and an almost stable 60fps? The foliage is denser, overall increased texture quality, draw distance increased etc. This is an insane remaster for only $10 more. What Suckerpunch should have done with GoT...
Death Stranding is absolutely amazing! It is so fresh, creative, the world is so detailed, amazing performances from the cast, the story, vibe, truly no other game quite like it, Hideo Kojima is a true creative genius. Love the Director’s Cut version on PS5.

Beware of Chiral Bridges placed by other players online. Some trolls like to place them at the edge of weather zones so players unwittingly run up to them and fall through once the rain starts.
Not for no reason..... it was extended for gameplay reasons. And yes the game was extremely slow and aggravating in the beginning. But as you got important upgrades. Things started getting easier. And you felt a sense of accomplishment. Like a Souls game kinda.

Adding patches, stabilizers, colors and other things to the backpack was in the og game too, the only new backpack thing is the jetpack thing. It's almost like most review sites just ran through the game and had no interest in it. They did none of the optional content that give all the cool tools.
@Revanth the upgrade brings all extra content of the Director's Cut, without it, it would have been just as simple as Doom Eternal and Metro Exodus, upgraded with next-gen features, for free.

Personally, 200 hours. Many of them feeding the material-hungry auto pavers. But once it's all set up and topped off as they wear down from the rain, WOW!
Actually the gloves were on the ps4 version as well but you get them much later in the game, it is very satisfying to punch a mule with a charged glove superman punch😂

Yes its easy. Without any orders left stand on the terminal and put your handcuffs up and then select data and transfer.

the name "director's cut" wasn't Kojima's decision, he wanted "director's plus" or something like that. It was probably the licensing that expired.
You are forgetting a very important aspect too that the terrrain has been changed compared to the original. If you played it alot you would notice.

Whole game is free thanks to epic but at the same time I’m sad that it’s on epic, btw if you have controller problems either put the game in your steam library or put the epic launcher in your steam library

Personally, 200 hours. Many of them feeding the material-hungry auto pavers. But once it's all set up and topped off as they wear down from the rain, WOW!

The gloves thing isn't new...there was gloves in the PC release for combat...
Actually the gloves were on the ps4 version as well but you get them much later in the game, it is very satisfying to punch a mule with a charged glove superman punch😂
