- "A Matter of Fact" is a song by Electric Light Orchestra that was originally released on the UK "So Serious" single. It was released digitally on the Afterglow box set in 1990 but has received no other official release since then, even on subsequent remasters/reissues of the Balance of Power album.
There is also a version of this song that features alternate lyrics. That version was only released on the UK "So Serious" 12" single, and has never received a digital release.

This song really slipped through the cracks.
I've been a massive ELO fan since 1976 and I must admit I wasn't blown away the first time I listened to the Balance Of Power album but it soon grew on me and now I love it just like all the other ELO albums. This would have fitted on the album really well. Can't wait for Jeff's new album to come.

I love Balance of Power & of course ELO are my all time favourite band & Jeff Lynne is a genius.
But IMO I would have included A Matter Of Fact & Destination Unknown as the last 2 tracks instead of Endless Lies & Send It

This isn't from Secret Messages. It's an old B Side single released in the UK at the same time as Balance of Power.

por ejemplo , pero que , a diferencia del primero , fue lado B , mas , ambos , no aparecieron en el larga duración lanzado en esa época.
