I got a bunch of samples from Stirling as my initial order, including Barbershop. From the first sniff of this sample out of the box, I was taken back to my childhood barbershop smells. It is dead-on. I tried it this morning for the first time and I really like it. It is a much lighter scent after whipping of a good lather. I may have to try some of the post-shave products in this scent. I have been using Stirling Unscented aftershave balm. Thanks for the good description of it. I would never have guessed there is vanilla in it.

Nothing else compares. The soap is a lighter scent. One thing I wish I mentioned in this video is that I highly recommend the post shave products in this scent, because they are stronger scented. Great shave, young man! One of my favorite Barbershop scents too, I have the shave & bar soaps, aftershave balm & splash and EDT. There's nothing cheap about Stirling's soaps, (I know what you meant), they're inexpensive but their performance & quality are top notch and much better than many other very expensive soaps out there, and that goes for Stirling's aftershaves, EDT's, bar soap... etc, too. For my money, there's no better value out there right now. Love Stirling!💈💚👊😎

I'm glad you also really like this scent! The bar soap smells really awesome, I need to restock. Yeah I could not agree more about the quality of the soap. Stirling just really nails it on all cylinders. The best value hands down and the performance is 10/10. I really don't see a difference in quality between Stirling and my pricier soaps. I could go on for hours about how good a company they are honestly.

Stirling Barbershop is my favorite as well. It blows me away every time I use it. Also up there in the running are Proraso Green and Tabac but if I could only use one the rest of my life, it would be Stirling Barbershop.

Stirling Barbershop was the first shaving soap and aftershave splash I purchased when I started wet shaving. I’ve purchased numerous “barbershop” scented soaps and splashes from other manufacturers but my absolute favorite is still Sterling. Thanks for the video! I’m going to use Stirling Barbershop for my next shave!

Yeah, I guess they wanted people to interpret the scent in their own way. Which is cool, I've seen some other artisans have soaps that lacked in description. As a big scent guy I always prefer to see the notes laid out, but oh well. I think you would actually enjoy this scent a lot. It's not your typical 40's aftershave kind of smell. It's just a nice sweet powdery scent that's non offensive. Give it a shot sometime man!

Great shave, Aaron! I had a sample of the Stirling Barbershop aftershave and absolutely loved it! It gave my fiancé a headache so I haven’t gotten around to getting the soap and splash yet but I do want to get the full set at some point!

I just used it yesterday. I have a few Barbershop scents and I tend to use this more in cooler months versus warmer. We finally had a cooler night last night and broke it out including the EDT.

It's "Sweet" barbershop scent, unique different from other fougere barbershop scent soaps.
Yes, Seville is "Citrusy" barbershop scent.
American Blend, Tabac, CaD are also popular basic barbershop scent soaps which I like.
Merkur 34C is popular all around the world wet-shavers.

I think you would really enjoy this scent. It’s nice and sweet and powdery. I’ve gotten many compliments on the splash. I’m glad your Rockwell arrived and that you’ve giving it a go. Both are in my top ten scents. But my personal vote goes to Stirling barbershop. There’s something about the sweet, powdery vanilla that I really love, and that takes me back to my childhood barbershop. This is especially apparent in the aftershave. Good vibrations smells like a classic
Barbershop but with a beachy, bright twist. I love both but I personally prefer Stirling if I had to pick. You can always sample them (Stirling has sample aftershaves as well as PAA, if you’re in the states). I would go that route to see which you like better. Have a great day!

@@DoubleAshaves, just following up with you, I got a ton of samples from Stirling and PAA, and the Stirling scents are WAY more appealing to me, than the PAA scents. And Stirling Barbershop, AMAZING. Every time I go into the bathroom, I have to smell it, because it’s awesome. There are a few scents, from the bunch I got from Stirling that are really nice.
Nacet are also worth a try.

Yesterday I used Eleven soap company barbershop soap lotion balm probably my favourite barbershop style scent wonderful scent and performance Eleven soap company so underrated imo 👌

How does Stirling barbershop compare with razorock barbershop shaving soap?
I bought a family member a couple of Stirling stuff including the barbershop soap, splash and balm. Maybe because it is new tub or something but it didn't smell anything special the splash was ok but i dont know it didnt smell like a barbershop smell. I also got him the island man and satsuma which the latter was the only one that actually smelled great off the bat. Do Stirling soaps get better with use?
Thanks so much for watching and your feedback! Happy to hear you purchased some Stirling! I think more of the scent on barbershop appears in the aftershave than in the soap, which is true. Many soap scents in wetshaving are on the lighter side, to avoid skin irritation from too much fragrance oil. Barbershop is not a “traditional” barbershop smell, to me personally I am immediately reminded of my childhood barbershop due to the sweetness and powderiness of it. Keep in mind that everything in this hobby is subjective. I hate a few scents that other people love. That’s just how it goes, everything is personal. Hope you have a great week!
Do they have a scent similar to lustray blue spice. I like that fresh scent
Thanks for watching! I’ve never smelled lustray blue spice. But based on the notes in it, it looks like it could be similar to Stirling bay rum, which is orange, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. You can pick up aftershave and soap samples for pretty cheap from the Stirling website if you don’t want to commit to the full size. Hope you have a great day!

Which one would recommend Barbershop or Vanilla Sandalwood?
Thanks for watching Logan. I enjoy barbershop more. Make sure to get the aftershave too, because it smells even better than the soap. It's powdery with vanilla, real nice sweet barbershop scent. Vanilla sandalwood is also great. To me it has a chocolate/earthy type vibe. Both are great but I prefer barbershop. You can always grab their sample sizes if you wanna try out numerous scents.

Their barbershop is a great scent. The only Stirling soap that I didn't like the smell of was Ben Franklin
