Such a good video! I am funded trader too and it only kicked in after few payouts. Treated my parents to a new car with my first payout, the feeling was just amazing. I'm more proud of getting them a car not getting a payout!😅
@@futurestradeslive2456 because sometimes it's nice to get things. There is a rule, if I can't afford to pay for it twice I don't get it. I have investment portfolio as well as different income streams, so I decided that buying a car would be OK and seeing joy and happiness in my parents face was worth it!
Absolutely agree, before I was funded I thought my life was about to change dramatically when I did get funded. Once I got my first withdrawal it just feels like you're trading normally but just making more profits.
Life is what you make of it. If you're getting more money with a funded account use it on something to make your life better than it was before you were getting bigger payouts!
This is so true! I felt the same when I got funded I realised that nothing really changes untill I get consistent on that funded account aswell as being consistent prior to funding! Become a funded trader is just the start of the process!
Hey Hannah, thanks for an amazing real content you providing, I am all the way down in SOUTH AFRICA, i love your channel and what you saying is so true, if you are an ambitious and purposeful driven individual, you quickly realize that hitting that ''TARGET' or achieving a certain milestone is only part of the journey not the destination. its just not about making lots of money, but more so about having the sense of higher purpose and growth .
I think that believing that becoming funded is the last step was what led me to lose my account last year... then it was a process of me against me and a lot of discipline that led me to become a funded trader again and now with much larger accounts… breaking away from the idea that money is the answer and simply focusing on the process and the bigger things beyond ftmo is definitely the best way to do things right.
Hands down Hannah FX you are still one of the most genuine forex personalities in the entire industry and the last part of this vid on "What is it like being Funded" is so true, I know people who lost their funded accounts MFF and say they literally feel like the world has ended. Always great to catch up with your content.

Loved your thoughts on looking beyond passing your first challenge. Important to have perspective. I haven't passed my first challenge yet but I'm working on it. I like the idea of dampening expectations though. Disappointment is so common when we over-estimate things we imagine will make us happy and the truth is, it will always take work. Thanks Hannah, as always precious advices! I totally agree with you! Once you get started being funded with FTMO there are soooo much more to GRAB and so much better prop firm which provide much more capital. Long term vision is the key. FTMO is just a babyset along the journey.
I think having two funded accounts with two different prop firms is a good idea and then add half the profits into your personal account and build that up

Correct me if I'm wrong please, but to pass the funded FTMO 100k you need to first buy the test which is like 600$ to 1200$. Yes, they refund you if you pass it after like 2 weeks or a month, but still you need to have that amount before getting funded. Second, when your account is 100k your max lost is 10k and if you lose the 10k, no more funded account. So in reality they are just funding you a 10k account right? Third, they take 30% of your profit. Ok yes, it's ok I could live with that and apparently sometimes they can have super high spread like up to 20-40?. So, what about scalping the 5-15 min? And when you realize that at the end you just have a margin of 10k and not 100k, wouldn't that be just better to make a 10k-20k$ on your own money and just trade with it with full profit? And for the end, I learned they have a lot of rules that you just can't go pass it even one time or your account is removed from you, like trading the important news, you just can't. Well, I'm not against funded traders at all, I just found the system a bit ''meh'' you know? I mean at this point I really don't know what to do with funded account. Will I be better with my own money and trade whatever I want or a funded account with 30% less profit and bunch of rules to not break? If someone could clarify it to me I would thank you. yeah theyre very much legit! i do receive my payouts from them. customer service is pretty spot on :) havent had any major issues with them. if i do, you know ill be making a video on it ;) hahaha
Hmm nowadays maybe 4-8 trades a month? Sometimes could be 4 trades a week, then sometimes no trades a week, then suddenly in the last week of the month I’ll take 4 trades. :)
But would you say you’re really trading $10k even on a $100,000 dollar account since that’s your loss limit . So technically the max FTMO allows is a $40k account which is the 400k one , I’m pro prop firms but is this the same ????
I feel like you’ve complicated it there for me 😅 I’ve been trading 100k as 100k. My risk is fixed. The probability of my plan suggests I wouldn’t hit the max loss. If I hit the max loss then my trading plan is flawed for the FTMO rules (ie, not appropriate strategy for it). Then I’d question if my plan is even profitable if it’s continuously hitting 10% loss
@@HANNAHFOREX i actually agree with the other guy. The max loss limit of 10k means that you only have access to 10k. What your doing is risking 10% of a 10k account, rather than 1% of a 100k account. Arguably the same thing but good to take into consideration.
Not really. What you are actually risking is the $500 fee (for 100K acc). So your downside is $500 and your upside is 75-80% x Profit. It's like buying an option with very high leverage. You can easily lose but if you win, you win big.
@@a9e6 That’s true but the reason it’s worth mentioning access to only $10k is because technically the FTMO challenge is asking for you to make 100% in 30 calendar days on a $10k account . That’s mostly likely why the failure rate is soo high when you look at it that way and yes that’s why I’m pro prop firms since they do refund your challenge fee so for good traders without capital it’s the easiest way to raise $10-40k in funding without a loan and no risk of loosing their own capital .

Proprietary funding is very narrow in their profit targets and draw downs
Why do people try to get more than one funded account? Is it just to have back ups in case you blow one?

yeah theyre very much legit! i do receive my payouts from them. customer service is pretty spot on :) havent had any major issues with them. if i do, you know ill be making a video on it ;) hahaha

Hey Hannah, not a Q and A but I’d like to ask you how often do you take trades, do you take trades maybe once a week or every day?
Hmm nowadays maybe 4-8 trades a month? Sometimes could be 4 trades a week, then sometimes no trades a week, then suddenly in the last week of the month I’ll take 4 trades. :)

But would you say you’re really trading $10k even on a $100,000 dollar account since that’s your loss limit . So technically the max FTMO allows is a $40k account which is the 400k one , I’m pro prop firms but is this the same ????
I feel like you’ve complicated it there for me 😅 I’ve been trading 100k as 100k. My risk is fixed. The probability of my plan suggests I wouldn’t hit the max loss. If I hit the max loss then my trading plan is flawed for the FTMO rules (ie, not appropriate strategy for it). Then I’d question if my plan is even profitable if it’s continuously hitting 10% loss
@@HANNAHFOREX i actually agree with the other guy. The max loss limit of 10k means that you only have access to 10k. What your doing is risking 10% of a 10k account, rather than 1% of a 100k account. Arguably the same thing but good to take into consideration.
Not really. What you are actually risking is the $500 fee (for 100K acc). So your downside is $500 and your upside is 75-80% x Profit. It's like buying an option with very high leverage. You can easily lose but if you win, you win big.
Technicallyyyy yes. But I reap the rewards as if I’m trading 100,000 (minus fees and stufffff) 😅
@@a9e6 That’s true but the reason it’s worth mentioning access to only $10k is because technically the FTMO challenge is asking for you to make 100% in 30 calendar days on a $10k account . That’s mostly likely why the failure rate is soo high when you look at it that way and yes that’s why I’m pro prop firms since they do refund your challenge fee so for good traders without capital it’s the easiest way to raise $10-40k in funding without a loan and no risk of loosing their own capital .
