I'm a business analyst with a master's degree in econometrics, and in university I learned R, Gretl, Stata, SAS and Python. Then I got a job in the real world and I basically just use Excel (and sometimes MySQL) plus Python, but that's just to automate some repetitive tasks to save time.
@@mo-chenThank you. We did a lot of heavy math and when I got my degree 20+ years ago there was no Power BI, Tableau or AWS/Azure, so I've learned most of what I use from TH-cam channels like yours. Keep up the great work!
@@CharlesMartel829 Hi, I want to be a data analyst. I have already started learning SQL, but I am very confused about where to start and which topics I should cover. Please give me some advice.
Thank you, Mo! You always have the best content on data, especially as I transition into a more business analyst function due to a recent acquisition. Keep up the great content!!
Great Job ! Mo Chen, elite level of content on Data Analytics . I am currently doing BootCamp and you are great source of inspiration . BEST OF LUCK TO YOU !
I’m doing my MSc in Business Analytics, I didn’t know that they are different until I started my Programme but I also noticed that some companies prefer a technical business analyst.
The fastest way is to get a degree (I recommend accounting or IT with a double major in business) and then an internship. There ya go. The no degree route is to get domain knowledge of a certain industry and then apply internally to the BA job. The only certs taken seriously for BAs is the CCBA, CBAP and being certified in technology like a cloud service, ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.
Hi i am Rachel from south africa and i made a huge leap from public relations to business analytics through simplilearn. My question is will the certification i get from simplilearn be enough to land a job in south africa?

Great video! I have been in sales for the last eight years and would love to transition into business analysis. For someone with no real experience, what would be the best path to not only get certified, but be in a position where I can get hired for a business analyst job?
Hi Mo, I recently graduated with my MSBA. My work experience is limited. Does working in retail or on the telecommunications floor count as relevant experience, or can I leave it out and focus on personal projects and academic client-based projects instead? Thank you for your videos, they've been helpful.
Heyy Mo ! I'm graduated with COMPUTER ENGINEERING degree and finding an opportunity for BUSINESS ANALYST Intern or Job role in Global compony or under experienced BA or DA like you. You have good content on various topics. Lots of people already giving knowledge but I think you should provide me an opportunity. Thank you in advance !!
