Hi, mate! My name's Vlad. I'm from Ukraine. Three months ago, I became a data analyst. This is my first job as an analyst. You mentioned Tableau in this video, and I just want to say that a few months ago I watched your video wheere you bilt a dashboard. I learned a lot from that tutorial and it actually helped me to nail the test task for my current job. Just wanted to say thank you for these tutorials. Keep going!
Hi Vlad, I just wanted to say that I’m super happy a piece of my content directly helped in some actual step in your job application process. Congrats on the job and thanks for watching!
п. кому потрібно.
There's already a million places where you can find the super basic stuff. I want to teach practical, applicable skills and I'm glad this resonates with you.
I watch a truly embarrassing amount of excel/data analysis videos and you/this one stood out immediately. You have a great style and approach. Short and sweet, and I already picked up a couple of tips I'll be able to use immediately.
Your teaching is quick but very good. I know nothing of data analytics but I understood what you did, except for the formulas. So obviously I need to go back and learn how they work. I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed watching your video and learned a lot from it. Thank you.
It was really amazing to watch a professional data analyst to do things just the way he does in his regular workflow. I know real work involves much larger datasets, but I got a li'l bit of taste in your clip. Good work, keep it up..
It may be that you have them disabled due to incorrect downloading. Try to find an office key in BNH software or others that you like and perhaps you will be able to solve the problem.
This is gem. Clear and to the point explanation. But I don’t get the part 14:52. If I found your video earlier, I would have passed my interview. It’s not related to data analysts but the test given in the interview was similar. Keep up!
I'm not that Excel unsavy, but I just audibly yelled "oh my god" to myself when you pressed Control and duplicated a sheet like that. It's the little things like that I miss, but this will make my experience with Excel even better now.
Hello! Very good content here in terms of excel skills. However, it would be even more valuable video if you could draw conclusions from numbers, and show the process of writing recommendations because at the end everyone needs concrete recommendation on improvement.
Okay, I have to say this. I've just started learning Data Analytics & completed the Excel, but didn't actually know how to start from, and this video definitely hel;ped me. Thank you so much.
Wonderful video. Refreshing to find something that is not based on BLING and "look-how-complex-i-can-make-stuff-up", but down to the core point. My MO is identical; good information doesnt need complex optics. also THANK YOU i have not heard of the CTRL+Drag-Option to duplicate sheets. I will duplicate the ** out of excel from now on :D
I’m glad you like the practical content. The difference between social media data analysis and real data analysis is that in real life, you have one goal, and that is to solve business problems. Not to build the shiniest things. If you do and solve the business problem, that’s fantastic. But if you just build shiny and useless things, that’s just social media data analysis.
I feel like the double-click on columns to resize them to fit your data is such a well-known hack... so dang, why didn't I know you can double click on rows in the same way?? lol Great video start to finish. the MAT toward the end was especially helpful.
Excellent video and information, Mo! I'm glad your channel popped up as suggested. I've subscribed and will check out your courses. I work for the department of the Treasury and this will come in handy! Thanks again!
Yho bro, 10 minutes into your presentation I am already hooked, you have amazing way of simplifying content and making it easy to follow. Big up to you, you gained yourself a fan for life, as I indulge for more.
Thank you Mo! I work in the same field and you inspire me to be a better professional at what I do. I'm also passing along your videos to my sons, so they'll get to improve their work strategies.
It would be cool to have a playlist of "real business problems solved with only Excel" If you do, please consider the fact that many viewers are using Mac so the Excel should ideally also work for Mac users. Thanks.
Thanks for this again Another simple but wonderful resource. I like how you can create these function on-the-go. I know I'd make a lot of mistake before arriving at the formula for MAT if I was in your shoes.
I recently just learned how to use the pivot tablet and this is a great insight on how to use them in real-time. I'm new to data but I'd love to learn. Curious, do you cleanse the data first before using the pivot table or do you use pivot table to find anomalies for cleaning?
Good question. Data in real-life will never be this clean. I made up this fictitious dataset and I made it clean for this video because I wanted to focus on quick analysis, rather than quick data cleaning. Who knows, maybe I'll make a quick data cleaning video next...
Can you make a dedicated video on data cleaning where data is really messed up and big in size?? TH-cam really lacks in perfect data cleaning video where all the data cleaning steps are shown.
@Mo Chen thanks for the video, i am going for a trainer interview on friday 06/09/2024 and will need you to point me to your tutorials that can help a beginer in excel analysis
100% most important data analysis step is always learning some reproducible programming method like python or R and stop using excel as soon as possible. With excel type tools (click copy paste) one is almost always stuck at the “basically good enough” stage without ever learning new productive practices that can transform your life in analysis.
