I wish some of the younger fans had gotten to see Duncan in his prime. He had a foot injury that pretty much ended his prime but he still played 6 or 7 more years and I think some young people remember him as this big, old, lumbering leader. With all the negativity in the NBA right now, it is nice to see an honest and very positive tribute to one of the greatest players who ever played Basketball....The Greatest Power Forward of All Time, Tim Duncan. Thanks for your video. You have a new subscriber and I'll make sure that this channel will be appreciated by my friends too.
Being quite solid in NBA history, I really can't think of any Power Forward that could be the best ever other than Tim Duncan. He is simply without comparison, and not only on the court.
I agree, Karl Malone to me was better offensively but he was no where as good defensively. Giannis has a good chance of being Tim Duncan great but he needs a better coach.
Duncan never claimed to be the best, he simply brought his best! I think his numbers and accolades say every thing about him that he never would have. Hat's off to 21!
For all the people saying he's boring: watch his 02-03 MVP and championship season. He dominated and bulldoze through EVERYTHING, including Shaq. True story.
Tim Duncan is absolutely a Hall of Famer and a Spurs legend. Why don’t people talk about him? He was absolutely a beast on the court and became "the Big Fundamental", so he is widely regarded as the greatest power forward of all time and one of the greatest players in NBA history. He was very beloved in San Antonio and the fans embraced him as a fan favorite. He became a 5-time NBA champion.
Tim Duncan is my most favorite player. I think he got me as a fan by being humble but being a force for many years. I noticed him because I think he is very intelligent and if he decided to score, he can easily do it as well. To be honest, I just found my self being his fan without knowing exactly what is the reason before. And the best thing, I followed Spurs for many years because they were always a force to reckon with, and that was mainly because of Duncan's sacrifices and how great he is as a player.

Extremely consistent and about as perfect of a team player as one can be. He is certainly someone that played way beyond his basic stats would suggest. Also one of the top 10 probably top 5 defensive players of all time.
It's crazy how Tim took soo many pay cuts just so his team can afford other players. Yet he still one of the top 10 most paid NBA player in history. And with the crazy numbers the players are making now. Thats insane
THE REASON I LOVE TIM DUNCAN BECAUSE HE REPRESENTS EVERYTHING GOOD ABOUT THE NBA NO DRAMA NO BALL HOGGING NO CHEATING ON HIS WIFE PUMPING MY CHEST EVERYTIME I SCORE A BASKET LIKE KOBE BRYANT!!!
When you put it all together. Defense, rebounding, scoring, passing, team play, character, longevity and his peak. Nobody can match him at the PF position and even when you compare him to center like Shaq,Kareem,Hakeem he can easly hang with those dudes to.
That 2014 finals was something of beauty. They absolutely had no mercy on the heat. They embarrassed the heat and made them look like they didn’t belong in the nba
BEST PF EVER. Also, what a humble and nice human being. Perfect example inside court and also in life. Aged like fine and as i remember only in his last season didn't play as good.
Tim Duncan is my sports idol. I don't play Basketball, but I do play Football, and I want to be the type of player that Tim Duncan was. The quiet, lead by example team captain who elevated the people around him and won. He didn't need to give flashy speeches or yell at teammates, he was the big brother of the team. But most of all, he won. He is the superstar who probably did the most with the least. He is the sole reason why the Spurs were as successful as they were.

I wish some of the younger fans had gotten to see Duncan in his prime. He had a foot injury that pretty much ended his prime but he still played 6 or 7 more years and I think some young people remember him as this big, old, lumbering leader. But when he was in his prime? Holy hell, the guy was absolutely incredible. He was a machine out there on the court on both sides of the ball.
Timmy mastered the fundamentals and that’s all he needed to be one of the greatest of all time
Well, that and being 6'11" with a 7'3" wingspan and having one of the greatest coaches ever surely helped.
@@Splackavellie85 every player need helps though.
@@keir. That’s true. I wasn’t discrediting Duncan. He deserves at least as much credit as Popovitch for the success of the team with his leadership.
@@keir. yeah I just asked LeBron
@@keir. any Kobe needed Shaq LeBron needed Wade Kyrie and Anthony Davis Jordan didn't get past the Pistons and tell Pippen join the Bulls Larry Bird had Kevin McHale Magic Johnson had Kareem Abdul-Jabbar which in my opinion is probably the greatest deal in history I mean you have to top five players ever on the same team that's why as good as Shaq and Kobe was to me they're only top 10 they're not top five like my list number one is MJ then Kareem then LeBron then Magic and then Hakeem Larry Bird Tim Duncan Kobe Bryant Shaquille O'Neal Wilt Chamberlain
Tim Duncan has the most Doubles Doubles in NBA history and spent ever year of his career reaching the playoffs. His last game to finish off his career was a PLAYOFF game. Tim Duncan doesn’t know what it feels to not make the playoffs
🤠☝️🇨🇱🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
50+ wins in every single damn season too
Beat LeBron 2-1
@@Low_Marineand his only 50-59 win season ended with a finals win
One of the greatest players ever, above Shaq in what he achieved and that’s easily, he was an absolute monster
How good was Duncan, arguably the best player of his generation and arguably best power forward of all time .
Not arguably definitely
No where near definitely, arguably.
17 rebounds and 5 blocks 🤯🤯🤯 against the Nets
I was like , Damn !
“YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD TIM DUNCAN WAS!!!” 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Love and miss the guy. I was lucky to meet him a few times ( I remember him he had no clue who I am...thats why I met him a few times.)and he was always polite and kind. While being the best PF ever.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD TIM DUNCAN WAS OH MY GOD!!!
Thank you, awesome video. I started watching nba back in 1998 because of Tim Duncan and been spurs fan since and until forever
Honestly I started watching NBA when I saw Tim Duncan how he played... Very humble....❤️❤️❤️
One of the Greatest Players in the history of the NBA ( not to mention ) the Leadership skills and the: No Drama/non-diva mentality. The ultimate teammate. Timmy was All Business - all he ever did was Win !!!
IMO, the most professional player NBA has seen, he was a force that dominated the game
Tim Duncan was awesome.and one my all time. Favorite players. to watch.
U MUST BE MORON THEN

I miss Spurs lineup with Duncan, Ginobili and Parker. I was the only Spurs fan in our whole clan 😅 I love how they got bored with how Spurs played, but all I could see is teamwork at its best.
I’m not even Spurs fan but these three have always been the real “Big Three” for me. They taught us : being flashy isn’t necessary for the greater good. Basketball is a team sport, *winning is the greatest good🔥🏀*
I never understood how someone scoring 20+ points per game 🎮 was boring.
As a spurs fan it was NEVER boring to watch Timmy play I looked forward to it everyday and to this day he is still my favorite player of all time with Tony and Manu tied for second especially being a Raiders fan it was amazing being a spurs fan having Timmy on my team made my childhood amazing I legit cried when he retired it still makes me sad to this day seeing videos about TD Tony and Manu it was an amazing time to be a basketball fan
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW TIM DUNCAN WAS
Those Spurs vs Lakers games bring back so many memories as a kid.
0:37 “dreamed of becoming a professional swimmer like his sister, Tim Duncan with a wig” seriously that’s Tim Duncan with a wig wth
@Gamer Jack his whole family is just a bunch of Tim Duncan’s
@@TeachingcasualsI Spit out my fucking water
@@shemgilbert1991 it’s crazy how much they look alike 😂😂
Probably on to something. Not even trolling. Look at that horrible photo shop job of his 'sister' with the swim team. I love Tim Duncan. But you can never be sure just what goes on behind the scenes of the elites. Always some trickery and some fuckery.
@Gamer Jack no that’s his sister Tricia
With all the negativity in the NBA right now, it is nice to see an honest and very positive tribute to one of the greatest players who ever played Basketball....The Greatest Power Forward of All Time, Tim Duncan.
Thanks for your video.
You have a new subscriber and I'll make sure that this channel will be appreciated by my friends too.
Anyone saying Duncan is the greatest pF ever is a casual.
@@younglove3362 Anyone who doesn't is a MORON.
Tim Duncan is a top 10 greatest NBA player ever, and also my personal favorite player of all time. He was just an awesome and good dude.
@@renesandoval1454 Karl Malone was very good like did you see all 13 of his insane posters? crazy man!
Only power forward I would even compare to Timmy would be Charles Barkley
Used to hate him when i was young but only because of how great he was. Now that I'm old i can appreciate how great he truly was
OMG YOU DONT KNOW HOW GOOD TIM DUNCAN WAS
😂😂😂
“YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF HOW GOOD TIM DUNCAN WAS OMG!”
Duncan never claimed to be the best, he simply brought his best! I think his numbers and accolades say every thing about him that he never would have. Hat's off to 21!
He also had the best organization and coach.
For all the people saying he's boring: watch his 02-03 MVP and championship season. He dominated and bulldoze through EVERYTHING, including Shaq. True story.
That hurricane was a blessing in disguise
Greatest Power Forward of All Time Indeed!!!! There will never be another one!
GOAT resume. Legit case, check out Clayton Crowleys video on him and his others.
That walk off was the most heartbreaking scene of my life. I knew deep down he was retiring and it was heartbreaking.
watching NBA makes me feel sad without Timmy, Tony and Manu 😔
Tim Duncan is my most favorite player. I think he got me as a fan by being humble but being a force for many years. I noticed him because I think he is very intelligent and if he decided to score, he can easily do it as well. To be honest, I just found my self being his fan without knowing exactly what is the reason before. And the best thing, I followed Spurs for many years because they were always a force to reckon with, and that was mainly because of Duncan's sacrifices and how great he is as a player.
timmy is my all time favorite, and he actually did get a quadruple double but a block wasn’t counted
Yeah that game 6. That couldve been a quadruple double for him. Only counted 8 blocks 😓
This was one of the best basketball videos I have ever witnessed bro. I'm in tears. Lol
Hes really UNDERRATED
No, not underrated (let alone disrespected), almost at all, but TD is overlooked for sure.
He might be overlooked in some cases due to his completely unselfish play, but by no means is TD underrated.
Suns was better, Amar'e put Duncan in grave with those Steve Nash feeds. Not only Bowen and Horry had orders to hurt Steve Nash so duncan can see next round in playoff...it was rigged cause they suspended half of Suns bench (same guy Tim donaghy ref who end in jail for fixing rigged games in Lakers vs Blazerrs and vs Kings 2001/02 playoffs) ...Literally duncan is not champion. His 1999 ring came cause Ewing was not in finals and Larry Johnson had back surgery too. Literally Admiral + duncan beat some loser center 1999 Chris Dudley. Imagine u beat Chris dudley in finals ahahahhaha and that MVP 2001 was Jason Kidd mvp cause Kidd carry rookies Richard Jefferson and Kenyon Martin to finals. duncan most overrated PF in history best lie too !!
No he’s not
Extremely consistent and about as perfect of a team player as one can be. He is certainly someone that played way beyond his basic stats would suggest. Also one of the top 10 probably top 5 defensive players of all time.
The kinda man to bury you into the hardwood, then unbury you at the end of the game, give you a pat on the back and say “good game”. Gotta love it.
Duncan was a true leader and top 10 player of all time. He was amazing
Why did this bring me to tears. Oh I know why it's because this quiet greatness will never be celebrated in an era of flash in the pan worship.
“You have no idea how good tim duncan was oh my god!”
How great Tim Duncan actually was.
So great he has an argument for being in a Top 5 all-time list
His humility was the greatest
When you put it all together. Defense, rebounding, scoring, passing, team play, character, longevity and his peak. Nobody can match him at the PF position and even when you compare him to center like Shaq,Kareem,Hakeem he can easly hang with those dudes to.
Can you please do a video on Moses Malone. He is one of the most underrated players ever and I think he deserves it.
A player that's actually better than Duncan. I bet even Duncan would say it himself.
Underrated! I am a Celtic fan but I really admire Tim Duncan. I hope we got him in 98.
Greatest player of his generation (those drafted in the 90's). Above Kobe, above Shaq.
what do you rank him all time though? I feel like he just under lebron imo
You sound like a kid saying that.
Wat a breath of fresh air to see a humble unassuming gentleman pity a few in the game these days should take note
He's the best player of the 2000s
Anytime people mention Kobe im like ok where is Duncan
One of the best, but not the best
Garnett was better.
That 2014 finals was something of beauty. They absolutely had no mercy on the heat. They embarrassed the heat and made them look like they didn’t belong in the nba
That's because PoP is the goat 🐐 of coaching. You're not going to beat him two times in a row. Especially not the sloppy heat.
TD21....GOAT PF....
He is so modest he got technical via smiling 🤣
Imagine a 7'0 duncan swimming 🤯
He was one of the greatest ever. pure class, on and off the court.
Just imagine no Ray Allen shot Tim Duncan would be 6-0 tied with The GOAT MJ!
BEST PF EVER. Also, what a humble and nice human being. Perfect example inside court and also in life. Aged like fine and as i remember only in his last season didn't play as good.
That's what Discipline and 0 ego does.
Timmy D.... a Crucian (St. Croix native) gem on loan to San Antonio. Thanks for appreciating our homeboy!!!
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD TIM DUNCAN WAS
The fish in his hand statement gave me goosebumps you my friend are great at what you do as well maybe we will watch a documentary about you one day
Tim dresses simply. I admire that
Oh that's what it's call? 🤣😂
Even in todays modern game, I would roll out, in their primes, C-Olajuwon, PF-Duncan, SF-Bird, SG-Jordan, PG-Magic
Makes you wonder how much different his career would've gone if he was one and done. Incredible to keep that promise to his mom.
Awesome video bro. Well done
Fun fact he is now one of the coaches of the Spurs
Cool
Nope not no more
He retired from coaching a couple months back.
Oh k
@@vinhernandez5016 yeah he still helps train the players though and, is a huge part of the franchise and the city of San Antonio as a whole.
After wathcing this im now 100% certain, tim duncan was born with that exact face and never change
