Excellent video, thanks for taking the time to post, we were at Ucluelet earlier this year I wish I'd seen this, because we were very disappointed we had a lazy guide at least I could of changed things up. Tight lines

Getting ready for beach fishing cap mouth area. i don't have boat, but that is only my way to get some fishes. Last year , First time in august I got 2 fishes within 20min and nothing for another 5 trips. This year I hope start in this month. Casting and spinning are more fun and thrill than trolling . Thanks for info anyway, who fishes from the boats

Bazlur Rahman I love fishing from shore as well ... I had a chance to fish for Coho with spinning gear last year and I loved it. Thanks for the comment and good luck out there!

Born to Fish BC I use my own handmade spinning rod with a twinpower reel and use Mepps heavy spinner(24g approx.) for further casting. Fish doesn't come near shore find most of the time. so any lure, have to cast as further as possible

Hey just a heads up that the Ambleside boat launch is closed June 6th, don't know if you launch from there but thought I'd throw it out there. Was out today and released a smaller coho on that yamashita glow hootchie.
    Good Luck!

Hello Rick, thank you so much for all the instructional videos you have posted for us. With the pink salmon run approaching would you please be able to give some tips about pink salmon fishing? And if possible some specifics about indian arm?
    thank you,
    Serghei.

Everyone I talk to at Army Navy, Berry's Bait, etc... has different colour and flasher combos that they all "swear" works. Then its like "well this week this colour works" ... are salmon really that picky eaters that they will not go for food if it is the wrong colour?
