The abuse at football really has little to do with racism it's about provoking the other sides supporters. Every body knows that Tottenham doesn't actually have
any more Jewish players or staff than any other club but if calling them yids upsets their fans they'll do it. Yid isn't a derogatory word in itself according to the OED the word Yiddish means appertaining to the language and culture of eastern European jewery Tottenham fans call themselves yids or the yid army whatever their race or religion most football crews are more diverse than any other group it's the same as calling someone a fat poof the intention is not to offend gay or overweight people in general. It's to provoke that particular person and it's more provocative if he is neither fat or gay

Ask your old man if you aren't old enough, or watch the cup final vs Bayern Munich and then maybe you will get an education

I have seen Leeds United play. I support Inverness CT, AberdeeN, and Ross County. I see Leeds have reached the EPL.
By the way, I am asking the English soccer system to help Scottish, and Welsh soccer. Let me first point out, that I do not support merging the British Leagues. It would end our national identities, cultures, and histories. I want us to have three strong leagues on the island of Great Britain, rather than just one or two.
My belief is for Pan-Great Britain Cups, all the way down the levels at men's and women's soccer, on top of the domestic and European football we play at present.
    Ideas could include.
    A) A British Premier Cup, played between all EPL sides who have not qualified for European trophies. Plus all Scottish and Welsh Premier sides. A knockout or group stage trophy.
    B) Invite all Scottish teams who have not qualified for European competitions, plus a selection of Welsh Premier sides into the Football League Trophy (THE EFL TROPHY). That is the trophy for English League One and League Two club sides.
    C) Invite all Welsh Premier sides, and some South Scottish sides into the English non-league FA Trophy.
    D) Invite some selected Scottish, and Welsh sides into the English FA Cup, or English League Cup.
E)Invite all Welsh Premier and some Scottish Southern sides into the English non-league FA VASE.
    F) Have a Welsh Gold Cup, where the senior 1st teams of all Welsh Premier sides play against the under-21 year old teams of Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers, plus the under-21 year old teams of all English Premier sides.
It would be the best of both worlds, where we keep our own leagues and European qualification, but on top of that have PAN-GREAT BRITAIN COMPETITIONS.
The Scottish have allowed English, Irish and Welsh sides into the Scottish Challenge Cup, so UEFA would be OK with this.
Imagine games like Aberdeen v Newport County, Glasgow Celtic FC v Man Utd FC, Glasgow Rangers FC v Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC v Hibernian FC, Ross County FC v Holywell Town FC, Peterhead FC v Connahs Quay Nomads FC, Leeds United v Queen of the South, Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC v Luton Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers v Motherwell, and Coventry City v Dundee United.
Irish sides could be invited also. Perhaps the North and Republic of Ireland could benefit from this also.
