Remember going to Leeds in 79....I was still in school (15) and went on the special with me auld fella.....!!! Liverpool we're the original casual crew.... seriously Leeds were bad wool's...still with scalfes tied round their wrists.....!!! Liverpool looked like they we're from another planet....but respect to Leed's.... proper mob....when they smartened themselves up that is......!

I was at the Derby game in 83 when the seats came out in the 3 tiered stand, never seen the footage before. The Police ended up moving the Derby fans some of who were throwing what looked like ball bearings out of their own end.

Nothing like a good old away day in the 1980's, will never be matched again those heady days.
Nope. Teams like Leeds and Chelsea coming to Brighton in the early 80s at the Goldstone was something to see. All day all night trouble as Bournemouth would find out a couple of years later in 1990....When it went off. Seaside towns and grounds would be smashed to pieces. Wolves at Scarborough 1987 etc.

I remember going going to the '*87 cup tie at the Hawthorns against Telford.It was fecking freezing,with ice on the pitch,would never have been played in this day and age.Always remember the chant from the Leeds fans,out numbering Telford massively,"You're supposed to be at home". Which it should have been ,but switched by the FA on safety concerns
I was there. Yes it was sub zero and at half time we kept warm by jumping up and down to Reet Petite. :P
Telford were a non-league side, small town, let's be fair!
