I really love watching Lowko casting games of these pro-players and giving out much details for newbie players. Although I would like Serral, Maru and other top tier players to play the new maps like StarChild.
you're going to have to wait a bit. Unlike the top 50 players, the top 10 take much longer to formulate strats and play games on new maps that the public can watch. they do this to preserve their competitive edge.
Hey lowko, did you noticed that in tropical sacrifice map, there is a small bears campfire 🐻 in the jungle outside the main bases? I hope you mention it in a video for the viewers.
Everyone says mutas are so bad and hard to use but they really seems way harder to defend against as protoss than to use as an attack force. They regen super fast and with just stalkers that often don't even have blink it seems super easy to bounce around.
As said above - they are decent but you sacrifice a large amount of your overall army strength.... e.g. if you're not able to prevent the counter the harass isn't going to help you.
Yeah maybe I'm just bad too but it just feels like they force you to spend a ton of apm and leave behind crap units like stalkers to attempt to defend, so like while 10 mutas does bring down the zergs total army strength, those 10 mutas also bring down the protoss army strength since u have to sit at home with some of your army. In theory toss can move out and attack while defending at home but I think a zerg blowing the rest of their resources on mass roach and spines can pretty easily defend a toss army that leaves a bunch of stalkers at home and and desperately trying to counter attack
@@sc2youtube744 You're not wrong - but that's part of why reading your opponents move long before they hit you with Muta is important - in the same way that even just 4 or 5 Voidrays can cause extreme havoc to a Zerg who went Roach prior to sufficient creep spread (for example). They could scout it / queen up or get hydra if they know... but if the void just rocks up it can be ez gg even if they have some 'just incase' anti-air.
It's because Phoenixes exist and can be chrono-produced on reaction to mutas. Basically, if the muta attack isn't a game ending surprise attack or deals unrecoverable massive amounts of eco damage, it achieves nothing once the Phoenixes come out.
Also they don't do well against stalkers, see 24:00 for example. Maybe an even fight, but usually there aren't that many mutas to start, so running into the protoss army means they all die. At the pro level it's all about keep away and doing fly-by attacks, at least until you can get several dozen.
Awesome play! Just one question: How can you say you cover all the best games of SC II if you just once in a purple moon cover serral-games? But for example Byun-Games all the time? My POV is that the recipe for a perfect game is serral + [insert throwing whatever crazy on him]. But I am a bit of a fanboy of serrals I admit it. Thanks anyway!
Lowko has addressed this before - if memory serves, he optimizes for _interesting_ games. A majority of top-tier pro games are repetitive and short, so Lowko will record himself casting several games/series and only post the 1-2 most interesting from that batch. Serral is so dominant that a lot of his games are one-sided and not very fun to watch.
@@HankTaylor While this can definitely be true he also has said that Serral doesn't play in the smaller tournaments and some of the larger tournaments he does play in don't release their replay packs. Its just hard for him to get Serral games to cast at all. Byun in contrast plays in basically everything. He plays in loads of smaller weekend tournaments so there's tons of his games available.
I love the mentality of Hero in that 2nd game.
Serral: *meticulously builds for a macro game*
Executor Hero: BUILD EVERYTHING THAT GOES BOOM AND ZOOM!
Randomly taking a sip of water when Lowko says "let me take a sip of water". Creepy.
he lives in your walls
I really love how the mini map now shows the players view. Kind of helps to understand what they’re thinking.
The thing that’s really going to bake your noodle later is, would you have taken that sip of water if he didn’t cough first?
Serral is absurd and i love it. He just played so well.

I very rarely play SC2 any more but I enjoy your commentary. Thank you for the years of entertainment

He zoomed in on them in one of his videos earlier this week i think
How is the running going Lowko? Are you keeping up with your routine or what??
I have no power due to the hurricane on the east coast of the US. Thank you Lowko for the entertainment!
Harstem posted this same game an hour before Lowko. Woops!
Dude the arrow goes AROUND the zealot, amazing! Arrow meta!
Starcraft 2 is such a beautiful game
Weird thing to say, but I needed to say it, lol
Heroes disrupter at the end, was the biggest disrupt hit I've seen. Pitty he didn't get more hits like that.
Woah woah, what happened to “hello everyone, my name is lowko…” that’s my favourite bit
if you happen to see any good uthermal plays we'd love to see them
no photon cannons against those mutas????

They are fantastic for harassment but you sacrifice power in your main army

@@MKu64 yeah so true. Key is to actually get that scouting. I think it's fair to say muta is the most important scout in pvz
a spinning arrow in the thumbnail, I can't resist the clicbait 😍
this is gonna be good
Serral is a true monster! A god of Starcraft 2!
I always wonder, why not more Zergs go for Mutas. As a noob I get destroyed by them all the time and even at pro level, they seem to be quiet lethal.

@@alexsis1778 great insight!
ah yes, the classic 1-2 pun.
see, zealot is just brutal.

Massive detonation!
appreciate the skipping of the couple minutes of the secondary games!
Holy crap, the lack of opening is jarring.
good morning
Muta = win
Tháts some sloppy control form Hero
26 min 😮
skip to end, serral wins. next video.
First like, First Comment!!
For Aiur!!!
nope
I think it would be more interesting to show their next match. But of course you wouldn't like to see Serral losing...
Let's be honest here. Hero played pretty poorly. Felt like a gm50 protoss.

Day 5 of asking for a heart to rank Mormons on top 10 religions
This is legit click my profile picture you’ll see
Hero looked really bad, like he just wasn't himself.
Later that day during a winner's interview, herO mentioned that he had covid so that might have been affecting his play.
@@toastytofu1402 that would do it, feel for him
