It's interesting to see map makers expressing themselves by using uncommon textures and colours. It worked for me on Cosmic Sapphire, and it looks cool on Royal Blood. I'm really liking this map :D I now can't unsee the edge of the rug on the expansions, now that Lowko pointed it out XD although...now that I'm thinking about it, the rug is rolled up partway, so the edges wouldn't look quite right

But its cool to see how mapmakers stitch textures together as best they can to make their maps look cool.
The floor pattern on the natural base level is sort of like an asymetric houndstooth weave pattern. Could be made of a solid natural material, but could also be carpet or other textile.
30:03 This is very much a thing for native speakers as well. Not only are english words pretty irregular, but we have a habit of writing loanwords as they are in the original language, meaning sometimes the english alphabet is "misused" leading to weird spellings

so new maps and their new solutions allow to introduce new dynamics to the game. as we are not getting too many updates to this great game, the maps are certainly something that can continue to evolve and change the style of play ... I would even be for some brave solutions. maybe separated by space from each other Platforms? (SC1 time) or as someone mentioned in the comments the main base at the bottom and the middle at the top XD

I keep hearing that golden minerals / mules causing a base to be mined out quicker is a "disadvantage". How is that a disadvantage? Aren't the minerals already in the pocket when they are mined out?
Probably think that running out of minerals quickly in your main would mean you got no mining later on Obviously a stingy trap since not muling asap means you'd be far behind in economy
it can be a disadvantage in some situations but usually just means that you are rich. One bad situation is if you are being contained you run out of patches earlier which may force you to make a desperation push before your units are ready or your upgrades may be a bit behind. Another thing to note is it causes your economy to be less consistent as it causes your eco to boom for a bit then sizzle out fast so if you can't keep up with macro you may find yourself with 16 idle workers during a push. However mining out faster is almost always an advantage because simply because you already have the money, you just have to spend it wisely.
Probably referring to it is better to mule normal bases and not gold, because SCVs get bonus income on gold patches whereas mules don't compared to regular patches.
You don't have to mention broodwar with every reference to og starcraft. If you're mentioning the six or so added units then sure, but otherwise just starcraft is enough.
One slight mispronunciation I notice you doing which gives me minor confusion is how you say "nook." You say it a lot like "nuke," which just gets me excited, and then disappointed.

This would make your main base susceptible to high ground attacks and would need to defend from the low ground early game. Not a good idea

Pretty sure the rugs are meant to look like their ends are flipped back. It wouldn't look perfectly square when you do that.
