I wish we could get interesting mounts now. It seems like the Americans have two compulsory mounts either that little tuck jump over the beam like Simone does or a jump to straddle split.
It's because when some of them were under marta karoly's watch(glad they're not anymore), she wanted them to just get on the beam instead of doing a risky mount so they wouldn't risk falling right away. I guess the coaches just stuck with that idea
Tried to walk on a beam at our dance studio once. 4 in wide. Just that gave me a true appreciation for the skill and courage needed to do this. Amazing...💖
Beautiful and interesting Beam Mounts! Some I remember and some were obscure to me, so I enjoyed the variety. Christine “Peng-Peng” Lee of Canada (then UCLA Bruins) mount of the Homa Flairs is just so great, unexpected and really impressed the crowd each and every time she performed this.
Wow, alrighty: Elena's had sooo much personality i loved it; Kim's looked really hard it was so impressive; y'all Maria Filatova threw me for a LOOP; really thought Natalia just fell off the bar lol also question: most of the clips look a lot older, are beam mounts like these not popular anymore?
Bravo for choosing lesser known gymnasts and clips you don't often see in this kind of compilations
I love all these older films. Classic competitions. These reels are gems.
They were all impressive, but that last one really got me. No moment to get her bearings, but spot on each time.

I like Melanie De Jesus front flip mount tho
Simone does a switch split leap mount to one end of the balance beam.
@@ShelleeGrahamprefer these ones

Ling jie is amazing
And criminally underrated!

Leah Homa (Canada & UCLA) originally created the “Homa Flairs” internationally and is listed in the Code of Points.
Beam nowadays has gotten so boring everyone doing the same thing it's great to see originality it's missing today
Kim, Kristie, Filatova, wow!!! 👏👏👏
I miss strength moves. They are always so pretty. Get rid of wolf turns🤮
Oh wow, I've never seen that casual front flip to a seated position one. It looks gorgeous
Oh my goodness! The Gymnasts is awesome skills on Balance Beam.
1:05 She does the pommel horse on the beam wich is pretty cool
So beautiful ❤
Correct the title. It's "THE CRAZIEST..."
Thx for the video, but please change the title to "craziest" or "most crazy" and not "most craziest" as that isn't proper English.
Perhaps Lobaznyuk '99/'00 should have been in this?

The current Code of points doesn't reward them, so they're not worth the time they take on the total 90 seconds of the routine
I wish the mounts were more old fashioned.
