I'm about to reach 800cp and have played mostly solo, I'm fairly comfortable using my healer so i might try trials soon.

@@malygos9301 Oh no... I did... As there is zero explanation on anything related to eso, I wasn't aware a group was required... My stupid ass was destroyed... Same with the first dungeon I found... Opened a hatch on the beach... Went through a room full of npcs with 60k health thinking "Jesus that was hard" and then run up on a giant monster... Tried to run but the door closed... It was psychologically taxing... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Recently got back into this game and I must say, you're probably one of the best content creators that this game has. Thx dude. As a cp890 player who has rly wanted to but never tried a trial u convinced me i wouldn't be a burden on a normal trial. Craglorn here i come.
I'm about CP 800 and haven't yet jumped in to them either. Want some gear out of the Craglorn trials so I'm heading there as well!

Our Guild has been doing Trials for a couple of years, but mostly to introduce people so they can learn in a friendly environment!! We're not experts by any means, but we love doing them!! :)

Just came back to the game and this was extremely useful. Had no idea that I could actually craft gear now, as long as I had already collected it. Awesome stuff.
Just did my first four trials the other day. Got invited to a new guild and promoted in that guilds ranks once. They were a lot easier than I thought.
A great question and a sound answer. I'm cp 328 and part of my problem with Trials is that even if I knew the mechanics finding someone to hang with is always a hassle. I've actually been looking around to see when I should start doing Trials so thanks for the video.

Timing is fantastic for this vid. Just got into the game a few weeks ago, and just hit CP160 and was curious about Trials. Just got my buddy into the game, and with him in, I'm sure the rest of our gaming buddies will follow. Been looking for a game for a while now that we can all do raid type content in again, and this sounds like it might just be it.

Thank you for this! After playing the game since beta I finally used a gimped version of your stam nb build and forced myself from level 1 to CP 160. Now I have everything but the monster set and am going to do my first trial tonight in Rock Grove!

Yeah it’s like 25k daily players on steam alone, and that doesn’t even account for other game stores, other platforms, or people who just play once every few days

This sounds great, haven't played in years, and think I only ever did 1 raid in Wow and didn't like it, but willing to give this a try when its time. Great goal to aim for.

I did my first trial, nKA, this week with my guild at CP560. Did 2 runs and got a full set of RO for my budding necro healer, thanks to my generous guildmates. I really wish I had started earlier!

I have only done a couple trails with my healer. Very different vibe from a dungeon. Good trial leader and DIscord make a huge difference. And, participants with familiarity by watch vids. Knowledge helps with mechanics. Great vid LG.

thank you! for whatever reason I always thought trials were DLC content only and with no group finder for it I didn't realize you could just go to Craglorn!
I'm currently tanking most hard mode vet dungeons but have yet to do a trail. Hopefully I can get a group together soon that is tolerant enough to let me learn the trails as a tank.
do them all on normal first. you're way over qualified, it wont be a problem. after you've seen the mechanics on them definitely try vet crag trials! then eventually the dlc ones

The last 5 trials I did on my main I was the only warden. Was still top 3 dps though most the time :-)
The Slow Dungeoneers is eventually a good guild to start with normal and veteran content at a normal pace, sometimes trials because trying hard to stay alive 😄

Normal trials are easy I felt the same and started doing them at 200cp and found they were easy, easier than vet dungeons and some normal DLC ones.
As someone who was so close to soloing vateshrine at level 30 I find it surprising how easy it is to get into trails like these
Did it and I can't complain. This new DLC is very nice.
I've only done trials once or twice when I was only around 200cp a couple years ago, however I think PuG trials are the easiest way to do it. In guilds there's always particular days and it's hard to plan for 12 people to be online on a certain day. I like the idea of work with what you get

what's the difference in rewards from normal trials, veteran trials and hardmode vet trail bosses? If all gear is capped at 160 quality, what is better from the much harder ones?
I've put 1400 hours into this game and never stepped foot into a trial because I thought I wasn't qualified, but your video is very informative.

Last year I got shoulder surgery and started playing eso while I recovered. I was heavily on painkillers and was easily able to heal trials in dungeon/quest gear lol. Easier than I would think

My guild does newbie dungeons night. We do specify cp160. We do about an even split of vets and newbies and victory is normally assured. A good time is had by all and the newbies really get the feel of trial fighting

@@islamic_diplomat we're House Piedmont. However we're pretty quiet at the mo as we've had players leave for larger guilds and a bit of a recruitment slump. We're very socially active though and welcoming. I am guild crafter and will sort you out with your first set for free :)

This is an excellent video, I have been following your channel since the beginning of this year as I had just purchased the Blackwood Edition on Steam during the Dec holiday sale. It's funny I just was recommended this video from TH-cam as I was very curious as to what trials are and what it's all about. I also just graduated my main character to level CP 160 last night! Now I understand everything perfectly except one thing. I am completely puzzled as to why I should need more than one 5-piece set along with a monster set. It almost sounded like you were saying I could wear 2 5-piece sets at the same time. Is that what you meant and if so how is that possible, or did you mean that I should have a 2nd set carried in my inventory if I wanted to switch them out. Like having one set for solo use and a second backup for group play? Please let me know why one needs more than a single 5-piece set along with a monster set. Between your monster set, your body armor (5pieces) and jewls and weapon (another 5 pieces) you have room for two 5 piece sets :)

I started playing on beta pc then jumped to ps3 then PS4 then Xbox one and now again on pc and yesterday just did my first trial lol never too late. :)
Group dungeon extension! Use it for trials!
Hey lucky selling function doesn’t work. I have tried it. Only thing seems to work is Decon or equipping the item if not already collected

I hadn't know about deconstructing an item and that that would add it to your set collection. I just tried to decon a couple of pieces that I hadn't collected to see if that was the case. It wasn't the case. I checked sets and they weren't in my collections.
Such a coincidence lol I was just thinking about possibly starting trials 😂
When you collect an item, is it available account wide or per character?
I used to run trials all the time. Then it ended up requiring a guild where they only let you in if you do the maximum amount of dps stated online, gave them a massive amount of gold, then payed them stupid amounts each week to stay in the guild and if you don’t log in for 48 hours, you get kicked
Yeah, this is very unfortunate. However there are guilds like The Slow Dungeoneers, where slow play is welcome and promoted. Even for veteran content. And it is a very fun guild, too. Sometimes the chat is very entertaining 😊

I have played this game on - off since 2015 and I have never done a trial. I have always been nervous of not doing good and dying all the time. I should give it a try, atleast normal because it sounds that it should be really easy.

For trials and dungeons, do you have to go to the entrance or can the group lead zone the everyone in?
Just teleport to any member of the group who is inside, or if it's a dungeon you can just queue up for it

I will havta try to get up to that level. It seems fun, but intimidating. I get the feel that everyone makes such strong builds that if you are weak you'll get chewed up for a bad build. Especially since I try to tank.

I appreciate the video & the info, thanks...A few comments I will say as a NOOB, it's not as easy as the video makes it sound to get into a trial. I'm sitting in craglorn right now (as I have several times in the past) and nothing happens after I enter in chat that I'm looking for a normal trial. I just sit around a wait. I think the game does a poor job both preparing players and integrating them into "post game" content. The fact that this video is even necessary reveals the barriers to entry...frustrating.
Yup, getting a group in craglorn is quite hard (unless it's brand new trial, Sunspire or Cloudrest). It takes a long time of just waiting around, hoping others will join.
Good morning, in your video you said " crafting guide linked below", i cant seem to find it, there is build guides and trial guides, no crafting tho.
A question, how does this crafting work? Back in my day we had to go to a specific workstation to craft the gear and we had to have the requirements to do so, the research thing.
Now i only have to get 1 item and then i can craft it how many times i want? for example if i get a Medusa Ring, can i then craft another one?

if you find a dungeon, arena, or trial piece of gear then after that you can craft that specific piece as many times as you want yes! so you must find the ring to craft the ring, and you must find the staff to craft the staff

Legs are fire drake you get those from playing red team in battle grounds The staff and chest are the Welkynar Style that you get from Cloudrest trial

that is hodor, it helps necros tell when its their turn to use their colossus ult (or horns for healers)

How do we get in veteran trials? Everyone demands achievement succes and do not give us who have not done v-trials a chance?
I still don't bring them because they typically aren't strong enough to do anything and i then have to use transmutation crystals

Dude I’m so confused. How is he saying to equip 2 5 piece sets AND a monster set when that’s impossible? Or am I missing something? Are monster sets not like regular armor pieces? Cause I thought you could only slot 10 armor pieces

I tried a trial once, but it was too difficult and I had to quit out. Next time I won't try to do it solo.
How early does it make sense to try for the maelstrom bow?
Get it on normal when you got over 160cp and you have two 5 piece sets
