It’s a somewhat common misconception that Harbour Centre is the control tower. In fact, it’s actually the province building just west of waterfront station! Next time you’re near, look closely at the top of the building and you’ll spot the panoramic windows of the control room! :)

@@DownieLive Thanks! Vancouver is a beautiful city! I've seen some beautiful views of extensive gorgeous houseboats along the Vancouver waterfront, I think they were extending further up the entire length of Vancouver, and they were more beautiful than the ones you showed here. That was at least 10 years ago. Could you please make a video, perhaps by boat, showing those, and mention the name of a website or publication that posts Vancouver houseboats for rent in the description? And any houseboats along the waterfront of Victoria also?
      I love them! ❤

While not technically part of the seawall, you can walk un interrupted from Crab Park, along waterfront road, under canada place and the convention center, exit through the easy park parking lot that connects where the sea planes are, right on the seawall. Or just use the sea bus terminal to get back up/down.
There are a cool pair of stone lions on either side of main st that lead into crab park.
    P.S
Discovery Island was once opened to the public for a city event a few years ago. I took a few photos as I knew I wouldn't get into any trouble for being there by the coast guard. Have yet seen it re opened to public access.

Good one Mike! Now my Sunday walk in Vancouver back on Labor Day Weekend 2018 was a little less adventurous, given my age, but I didn't get blisters. My Blundstones needed a minor repair after the adventure on the unsealed trails within Stanley Park looking for the native fauna. Apart from the glitch about the Control Tower (on 200 Granville), you have done a brilliant job describing and showing us the sights along the Waterfront Path. I recognised a number of familiar spots, most of which I captured on my Nikon D3400. So thanks again for a great tour and some fond memories. By the way, I started at the Inukshuk, cut across the isthmus at the edge of Stanley Park (the pedestrian path near Park Lane) and walked parts of the Seawall and internal trails, finishing back at the Rose Garden and the Bus Loop. I enjoyed a short bus ride through the holiday Sunday traffic jam on West Georgia and ,after reviewing the tourist hotspots around Canada Place, enjoyed a great salmon steak, fries and salad at the Rogue Kitchen inside the former CP passenger station building. Cheers from your namesake in Melbourne.

YAY you made it, great vid as usual Mike. When the covid thing is over and tourism returns you could open a tour guide business, you have plenty of experience in your city, your potential clients can watch your vids to get an idea of what they want to see, and you have marketing experience to get it of the ground. I just thought it might be an idea to suppliment your you tube business, which is tour guiding with a camera in your hand. Once it is up and running you can hire and train guides to expand the business and you could be Vancouver's next entrepernuer, just a thought. Cheers from Down Under mate.

As a kid, I got to know many of the landmarks and buildings around Vancouver, such as Expo Park, BC Place, Plaza of Nations, the Convention Centre, Stanley Park, etc. because they were featured in the original MacGyver TV show in the 1980s. That show was a favorite of mine then and now.
