SCP 145 appears to be a standard 2002-model cordless telephone handset of Alcatel brand on its standard issue charging base. The charging base appears defaced.
SCP145 rings constantly whether it is on the base or not regardless of the lack of power source.
When answered a female voice speaks on the phone in a voice that shows high levels of stress. This voice varies from conversation to conversation, but in all cases the voice expresses extreme panic, and proceeds to plead with the listener for assistance as she describes instances of torture conducted on unknown victims. In the background, the listener will hear sounds of violence and expressions of pain and anguish.

I’ve not heard of this one before and I was so sure the female voice on the phone was going to be the secretary calling herself from her own horrible future but I guess not. Am glad, I was ready to be angry if she got it, not her awful boss instead!

They should try showing the D-Class a picture of the Shy Guy's face and see where it goes. Since 096 has an innate sense of 096-1's location, it might help locate where this anomaly sends people.
That might be a bad idea. Cuz it risk containment breach and possibly risk civillain life, causing chain reaction since we dont know where the victim might end up at.

After reading up on some of the torture methods used in the actual file, I SERIOUSLY hope she didnt answer SCP-145 again in an attempt to rescue them. No innocent person deserves such a hell.

I honestly thought SCP-145 should be considered safe class. Just put it in a box and it’s effectively neutralized. Euclid classes require considerable resources to contain.
Something to remember is that Euclid class means that not everything is known about the phone that will keep it contained, since there is no known way to stop its anomalous properties it is given Euclid, since it also can't escape.
euclid kinda makes sense cause the phone itself is safe, but the entire anomaly also contains what's on the other end of the phone. if anything you could classify it as uncontained but there is no evidence that containing the phone isn't sufficient
Do what they did with the cow bell. If not that put it in a soundproof box. Unless it's one of those that just appear.
I agree, with the principle of “a button that can destroy the entire universe when it's pressed would be safe, whereas a cat who randomly switches places with another cat anywhere on earth would be considered Keter”, there’s no reason 145 is not safe
@@lukaschen3009 a button that can destroy the entire universe probably would have to be euclid, as in, you need to put extensive measure in place to make sure nobody accesses it.
It's not keter cause nobody probably is seriously trying to access it, but it definitely require more effort than "put it in a box and forget it exists".(then again, if you can make sure *everyone* forgets it exist that might be the safest way to contain it)
So, a realization came to mind. At the end of the video, Dr. Bob doesn't disappear because we're watching him. But also it's said that video feed doesn't apply to those properties. Then..who else was happening to watch him. Or, even stranger, is he amune to SCP-145?

Frankly, I've got no desire to see League of Legends characters of all things in a Dr. Bob video. The Berserk cameos in the liar's furnace one were fine because they fit the setting's aesthetic; these cameos not so much.

Its like Pokemon, Destiny, or the Disney Star Wars trilogy; the game is so glorified to hell and back that it has absolutely no problem with advertising itself, regardless of how horrible and obnoxious it is.

This should definitely be Safe class. Containment is trivial and it would easily pass the box test. No doubt its still clinging to Euclid via the old classifications, being a low number.

*SCP Designation:* SCP-145: A phone that calls excessively despite seemingly non-functional, the voice on the other end indicates victims of torture and anyone who answers unobserved is said to be "abducted" by the culprit by unknown means and made to join the list of victims
*SCP Designation:* SCP-073: A man of unknown decent with limbs made of copper and a photographic memory, all plant life dies in close proximity of him and any damage inflicted upon him is instead inflicted on the assailant
*Containment Method:* SCP-073 is made to be abducted by SCP-145, when answered, SCP-073 was able to give a full detail on his location at [DATA EXPUNGED] and a team was sent to his location, where the culprit has subsequently died of various self-inflicted wounds. The whereabouts of previous victims are currently unknown, however SCP-145 hasn't rang ever since and is pending reclassification to Neutralized
Or they can send SCP 682. They either find him and the location of the torture or they completely got rid of him. Win-win

It's just lazy writing most of the time, every SCP author and his dog just writes [REDACTED] and [DATA EXPUNGED] when they don't know or don't care what to input next. However sometimes it does serve as a good way to create suspense.

Was watching an SCP trailer and wondering when the next Dr. Bob is, and lo and behold, here he is!
Out of curiosity, what If the Foundation staff tried surgically implanting a miniature handheld bomb or nuke inside a D-Class member and then make them answer the phone? Since it's clear that strapping bombs on the outside of them, won't follow them once they disappear out of sight.

I always thought those phones felt so sinister in origin. I say this especially when something as antiquated and archaic as a 2000's cordless phone still functions. Especially since _nothing_ about it is supposed to function.
What I want to know is does the torturer do this for sport? Is it a matter of extreme vigilantism? Or was it just made because to the individual (if a being at all) it simply wanted to do this? I'm not sure I want to know.

Buddy… I get mini-panic attacks whenever my phone starts ringing. I purposely never set up voicemail just so whoever it was would never have confirmation that I was aware they called, less they try to do so again. Hell, my “instinct” is to put my phone into airplane mode after a call in case they try to call back. My point is, ain’t no way I’m answering no phone, especially if it’s creepy and mysterious.

Like I know the thumbnails change, this one's art is just so much different than anything Dr B's style, it caught me off guard
Yeah, somethings just been off about this whole channel all of a sudden. I respect Dr. Bob for managing to consistently put out good story’s and explanations, the thumbnails are always great art wise, but, this is just confusing. Why change a genuinely good thumbnail into, this, and why now? Something just isn’t adding up here.
@@TheRandomMan001 It's continued happening to quite a few of them over the past week, some of them even re-used templates and others getting an older thing where their backgrounds get replaced with a white and teal space of nothing. It's just so odd, and I mean its whatever, the man can do whatever he wants with his channel, but its still so strange. Especially because Dr Bob's usual art style and received thumbnail style is so heavily representative of his brand, which is beloved by all us fans. It's just so strange, and I'd be a liar if I said I didn't miss the OG thumbnails compared to whatever they are now. Though some of them have been getting changed back, then back and forth.
