SCP 1127 is a series of short films ranging between 23 and 42 minutes in length.
Each SCP1127 film is composed primarily of scenes clipped from other movies and shorts, with additional video from various other sources. Sound and dialog has been added or modified, and a “narrator” character unique to each film appears, fully integrated into the clips comprising the film, regardless of the original source of the material. The narrator provides commentary and occasionally interacts with objects and characters within the recycled footage.
Anomalous properties present after a cumulative 20 minutes of exposure to the contents of any single film in the SCP-1127 series. Effects do not present when audio and video are perceived separately. Each film in the series produces a different effect in the viewer, but in each case the effect is a permanent disruption in normal behavior patterns, altering emotional reactions to various stimuli.

Well some are technically real like black holes although not enclose in a cage.
The SCP foundation should try to recreate these films to test if recreations also carry the cognitohazardous effects. If so, then that is a very valuable piece of research. If not, they now have some great short horror films that they can publish and make decent money from!
But that would make it difficult to find the actual movies

@@Random-bi9bg The host and like one or two other people are good narrators but most of the others just end up completely butchering the story with their poor voice acting. The main narrator mumbles like 90% of what he’s saying and he’s in every single one. Some of the voice actors aren’t bad per se just voice acting the wrong characters. I swear everytime there is a timid scared boy in the story and they choose the Chaddest Captain America voice actor straight out of the Expendables to voice him.
Just imagine you watch something called "Why Are You Crying?" And then suddly have the urge to drink out of the toilet.

@@TheAnimalKing Pretty much. Some things like traditional myth and lore I like seeing added in, but when it comes to movies or stories, I think that one's an iffy area. Some of them do well, some not so much. But then again, some people water down myths too, like the one of the kuchisake-onna, which I find disappoints in the end.

Didn’t expect a Faces of Death mention in this one. Yeah that is a good “Will leave an affect on you” example. Remember ceeing one of them films as a kid, and never forgot buddy dying by bungee jumping off the building.

The part that is the scariest is the fact that something like this could really happen. Greed makes the average human mind throw caution to the wind.
Why didn't he ask for any credentials? Why didn't he ask for them to view the material together, if for no other reason than to check for copyright infringement? Why didn't he ask what the heck they were doing in his office at 2 am? Why didn't he verify anything that he was told by suspicious people or ask who sent him (other than the name of a benefactor)? Why didn't he ask, firstly, how they knew he was still working at such a time?
Because they said they'd give MORE MONEY to his festival.
These festivals happen across the country often. So, realistically speaking, if there was a way to cause a disturbance by letting someone view something, one could only imagine what would happen if money was offered to the wrong person.
I think the scariest stories are those that could actually happen.

Are We Cool Yet? is one of my favorite Organization just after SCP foundation, GOC and Church of the Broken God.
I wish Are We Cool Yet was a more fleshed out group of interest.
We basically know nothing about them other than the fact they produce anomulous art.
There have been a couple of tales that expand upon the organization, explaining how it was founded and how they choose which artists to finance.
I'd seriously be screaming to the top of my lungs if i see even the friendliest SCP! Since that gives a sign of scp's being real. Anyways good job Dr Bob!

Scp-1127-3s’ effects on people seem to resemble Sarkite or Nälkan beliefs, which is that technology is either inherently evil or is working against their beliefs, and thus this copy of Scp-1127 may have made to help create more followers of Nälka by making people fear technology so that they regress back to their more primal states.
This also falls in line with what the rest of the Scp-1127 instances are trying to do, as they appear to have been made either to make people who view them either have extreme apathy, or make them view violence and human misery as humorous. Knowing AWCY to be an anomalous art group that is committed to making works of “art” that can hurt or change people, if they are attempting to make more people like them in the world by using Scp-1127 to change peoples personalities to be more like theirs, then they may be trying to get more members for either their group or other groups for which they’ve might have teamed up with other anomalous groups(like the Insurgency, or even the more dangerous Neo-Sarkites).

The writers satirical hatred of “surrealist” films that are basically mainstream and cliche by this point and more importantly their hipster like fan base in the SCP is amazing. I would love to have a conversation with the original writer about his opinions on the genre because the AWCY is a great is perfect foreshadowing for the overall message. Hilarious.

For those curious about 1127-4's effects, those who have viewed the film will have their sexual preferences altered. They won't be able to get aroused like they used to and will find whatever they considered erotic or sexual as uninteresting or even repulsive. Then, they will acquire a random kink, ranging from fetishes like BDSM or Voyeurism to paraphilia that are highly criminal or dangerous (you can probably guess which ones i'm talking about)
