It’s always such a pleasure to watch your vlog Miranda! I love following you and your Mum when you go shopping :your choices ( books, objects and food ) are really fantastic 😊… they remind me of something I heard during your wonderful interview with Kate Morton: “ Sometimes things choose you…”. I wish you and Mum a lovely and less hectic week❤
That was a lovely cornucopia vlog. I love the Emma Bridgewater jug and those gorgeous versions of JA novels. I must look out for these collaboration editions. I hope you managed to get a peaceful Sunday and that this week is not quite so busy. I'm loving Seasons of Stories on substack and getting to know all these kindred spirits is going to be so much fun.
Your vlogs are always a delight filled watch. Thank you for all the effort you put into them. ( Really hoping you can find space to slow down and rest up a bit🕊💕).
Dear Miranda, thank you so much for this lovely vlog! I always enjoy it very much when you take us along your adventures with your mother. You bought such beautiful things. The Jane Austen editions are just stunning! And also the Kate Morton Book. How beautiful to look at. Have a lovely week, you two!❤❤
Yay!!! So glad to see your shopping videos again Miranda they are one of my highlights and I love seeing what goodies you and your mum pick up especially the Emma Bridgewater which I now have my own few pieces of thanks to you. You are both looking fabulous by the way ❤
I always love the videos where you take us along shopping with you, you choose such gorgeous things, I get a vicarious thrill watching you unpack and show us your goodies! Coincidentally, this week I was given the very same Emma Bridgewater rose tea plate, it is beautiful! I love LM Montgomery’s short stories in the Avonlea Chronicles books, I think she was so good at the short story format. Thank you for another lovely video.
Those orange tulips are gorgeous and look lovely in that vase. I get spring fever looking at them! When I visited Yorkshire in December I was able to fit in a day trip to Ripon and really enjoyed my visit. The bookshop and Cathedral were wonderful, and the Royal Oak was the perfect place to stop for lunch and re-energize.
Miranda, you are doing fantastic keeping your world of beautiful books and cosy comforts thriving and always taking it to the next level. It's such hard work, but please know we appreciate all that you and your mom, Donna do for us. Congratulations on getting your Season's of Story how you want it! I hope you can catch your breath soon, but until then, take care! xx
This has been such a delightful vlog. I so enjoyed your interview with Kate Morton. And of course, all the books and Emma B. pottery. Especially the Jane Austen editions, which are simply gorgeous! The tulips are beautiful as well. 💕
Thank you for introducing Kate Morton’s books to me . I recently read Homecoming because of your review …and I was engrossed by the story and her style of writing.
Thank you Miranda and hello to Donna! I really enjoyed your vlog. Your visit to the independent bookshop in Ripon reminded me of the day I discovered the books by the English novelist Elizabeth Taylor. Our local independent bookshop had her books which all had gorgeous book covers of watercolour flowers, drew me in to buy one of her books. 'The View of The Harbour', before long I had bought them all! Though was disappointed that they changed the book cover on the last three novels. I really must reread her novels again as she was such a talented writer. Have a great week!
Really enjoyed this video, Miranda! I know your channel is a lot of work, but all of the content about books and other delights is much appreciated! And your mother's smile makes me happy every time I see it. Cheers to both of you from California 🙂.
You find the prettiest things, Miranda! It was nice to see Donna's radiant smile. Your shirt/dress is beautiful. I am loving being a member of Seasons of Story. I highly recommend everyone checking it out!
It's always a treat to "go shopping" alongside you and Donna. What a pretty vase holding those tulips! 🧡 I've so been enjoying all of your content and getting to know the community a bit more in Seasons of Story. Thank you for the cheer and connection and inspiration. 🌷📚🍷
Thank you Miranda. I love going shopping with you and your mum, quite delightful. You certainly put a lot of work into your videos. So much appreciated. Beautiful covers to the books. Infact all your purchases are great. Now I shall listen to your interview with Kate Morton. ❤
Lovely to spend time with you and Donna, Miranda. I can see I need to make a trip to Marks and Spencer’s this week for some food and flower treats! All book choices were wonderful, love those Austen editions and the gorgeous vintage Avonlea books, too. Now I need to go and listen to your Kate Morton interview. Have a great week 📚 🌹 🫖
Miranda, I enjoy your Sunday videos so much! I love going shopping with you and your mom! Such a treat to listen to you, it’s oh so interesting and relaxing! Keep up the good work! Till next time!! 🥰🇨🇦
Thank you for this video. It brought joy on a somewhat dreary Sunday here in Michigan, US. Kate Morton is also a favorite of mine. Thank you for offering this. Also, those Jane Austen books are gorgeous. Sense and Sensibility coordinates with your lovely dress!
Oh, those ballet books! They were so special to me also when I was little. I'm on a mission to find some now. Thank you for some really interesting recommendations.
The daffodils have been out down here in the south for about a month now! It shows how much colder it must have been up in Yorkshire. I'd rather ours only be coming out now as by the time it's actually spring they'll be long gone.
I agree. I do like glass tea holders and the daffodils are charming. Our neighborhood daffodils and magnolias, dogwoods And tulips gave been out three weeks at least, in San Francisco Bay Area. So glad you have similar clime.
Know this is from 2 months ago, but wanted to say, love both your jumpers and I have one exactly like your Miranda, - Friday night fish dinners look wonderful and the wine along with your platters, well deserved. Enjoyed your trip to local bookstore, tulips, and Emma Bridgewater., wow.🥳 nice day.
Thank you for taking us along with you Donna and Miranda, Rippon looks such a lovely place to visit. The tulips are sensational and I shall certainly have a look for them in Marks. Lovely book choices and shopping. Have a wonderful week and looking forward to the Comfort Book Club which is always a joy, Teresa 📚
I love your vlogs so much!! Seeing you choose beautiful stuff is always a pleasure. A part of my childhood gets very vivid when I watch easter decorations and I just can’t wait to start putting beautiful spring things at home to! Have a lovely week, Donna and Miranda 🩷
I adore videos where you buy things and share them with us, I feel such a childish excitement 😂 please keep them coming ❤ Could you please also consider doing 20 favorite things…in your kitchen, in your bedroom, in your living room, etc. 😊your world is magical! You and your mom - absolutely amazing! Big Hug 🤗
Hello Miranda - what a lovely treat to visit with you! Thank you so very much for taking us shopping with you - I loved the bookshop in Ripon ❤I must tell you about my local independent bookshop here in Hobart (the capital city of Tasmania) - It’s called Fullers and has just celebrated its 104th birthday (which is old for anything in Australia 😂) - it has won the award for Best Independent Bookstore in Australia more than once. It has a lovely cafe in store with beautiful locally sourced food and drinks and also holds events like book launches and discussions. It just fills me with a sense of peace and comfort and I just love being there. Thank you for such a wonderful podcast and also for the amazing interview with Kate Morton.
I always love your shopping videos. It's so much fun to be taken along. I finished The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets not too long ago and loved it; I am looking forward to the book club discussion. And I had never read anything by Kate Morton, but she sounds like just the sort of author I like, so she is now on my TBR. Thank you!
What a lovely video! Thank you for showing your shopping too as it's lovely to get ideas and recommendations - I also bought those biscuits mainly for the tin and a tin for my auntie too! I do love a Friday evening treat after a busy week. As always it was great to see Ripon. Have a lovely week x
Your salmon platters looked scrumptious! The perfect end to a busy week, especially with a lovely glass of wine. Ripon looks a super little town and such a fabulous bookshop. Hoping your week is less busy Miranda. Thank you so much ❤️.
Emma Bridgewater have just put their full spring range up. The wildflower pattern is dreamy! Ripon looks like it has some great shops. Makes me very nostalgic for Yorkshire.
What lovely books and pottery ! Watching your videos is an interesting and cozy moment in my day ! Thank you so much to you and your mother. Love from Italy❤

Such a lovely video! With a hint of Spring. I too have bought that pretty biscuit tin - for the tin. But the biscuits are absolutely beautiful too. All such gorgeous things to look at. The tulips were stunning. Thanks so much!
Another lovely vlog Miranda. I am about a third of the way through this month's Comfort Book Club read and really enjoying the story and different characters. I always enjoy rereading all the Anne books and also the three Emily titles. A recent purchase of mine is the 100 year anniversary book about Fitzbillies, the cafe in Cambridge which features in Robin Stevens 'Mistletoe and Murder. It's a lovely book, not just for the history of the cafe but all the mouthwatering recipes too.
Another lovely video. Everything is looking springlike. Loved the Emma Bridgewater china. Here in Scotland we are also having sunshine. Thank you Miranda 🏴
I'm excited to hear that Homecoming is coming out in paperback in the U.K. because that means it will be out in here in the US soon, hopefully. I have been waiting for the paperback.
Lovely vlog! Those puffins look lovely! Do they have illustrations? How fun to read all of Anne! I did that last year and really enjoyed the experience!
Sure enjoy your vlogs! Thank you for taking us along!! Can you please tell me the name of the dishes in that beautiful shop-they have the hearts all over them-I think your Mom was looking at them in the video?? Thank you for taking us along in these shops!!!
Great to see yourself and Donna 😊 I love the Jane Austen books and the L.M. Montgomery ones too. I'm on the 4th Anne book, but the 1st one is still my favourite. Have a great week x
Really enjoyed this vlog. Lots of lovely goodies from M&S and you can’t go wrong with Emma Bridgewater! I read Homecoming last year and it is such a good read. Thank you 💕
Hi Miranda, I loved seeing all your pretty things, but wanted to ask about that darling little cottage picture behind where your mother sat. That was so pretty! 😊 loved it.
It must be lovely to see spring arrive. We are months away from daffodils in southern Ontario 🇨🇦. Still wearing down filled jackets, and wooley mittens. The china is so pretty, I am not aware of anything similar here. If so, someone let me know
I never read the Anne of Green Gables books, started a few times over the years as all my sisters love them (perhaps I am a changeling???) I do love the books about Emily by the same author. They are among my favourites. I recommend them a lot. And perhaps I will try Anne again one day. Thank you for another lovely and inspiring video!
Hi Miranda- I love your videos- you’re really helping my book choices! Love your style too. The lovely top/dress you are wearing at the end of the video- where can I purchase it from? Kind Regards Judith
I commented on an older post and asked about your sleeveless turtleneck sweater you had on. I am not very computer or you tube smart, so I don’t know where to see if you commented back. It was so lovely and I wanted to know where you had purchased it?
Love Kate Morton's books - have read them all, this may have been my least favourite ... but I have a "thing" about reading books set in the country I live in ? Weird but I've always been like that :)
I did the genealogy of a man in our church whose last name was Montgomery. He'd always been told that they were related to Lucy Maud (L.M) but wasn't sure if that was just wishful thinking. They were indeed, (1st cousins 5x removed) which is not surprising given that his people came from Prince Edward Island. One thing of interest to me was that it has been said that some characters in a particular book (can't recall each one) were based on relations- so perhaps the naughty little boy was true to life and couldn't be helped but written as he was! I've never been to P.E.I but hear it is lovely! L.M. Montgomery's published journals (The complete ones- I think there are 5 volumes-they are spendy so I've bought them one at a time and am up to 3) are quite interesting as well! I recall Donna enjoys memoirs/diaries/journals etc. (P.S If memory serves your mom does some digital reading? I note that the internet archives has the PEI years one (bk 2) borrowable for free by the hour, assuming the site isn't only available in the states)
love this! just found your instagram and tried to enter but it says 'comments on this post have been limited'. Kate Morton is one of my all time favorite authors.

Love the gorgeous edition of this book & everything you shared..

Thank you!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets. I definitely recommend giving Kate Morton a go; I love her books! xxx
I capture the castle is my daughter's favourite book. It is looking incredibly spring like here in Wales also
What a lovely video! Thank you for showing your shopping too as it's lovely to get ideas and recommendations - I also bought those biscuits mainly for the tin and a tin for my auntie too! I do love a Friday evening treat after a busy week. As always it was great to see Ripon. Have a lovely week x
The tin is so pretty!! I think I'll use it to keep stationery in, or it would make a pretty gift box for a homemade treat for someone too! xxx
Gorgeous edition, Miranda 😊
Your salmon platters looked scrumptious! The perfect end to a busy week, especially with a lovely glass of wine. Ripon looks a super little town and such a fabulous bookshop. Hoping your week is less busy Miranda. Thank you so much ❤️.
Emma Bridgewater have just put their full spring range up. The wildflower pattern is dreamy! Ripon looks like it has some great shops. Makes me very nostalgic for Yorkshire.

Love love love your videos 💕 Thank you.
That’s so kind, Vicky! Thank you very much for your generosity! I really appreciate it 💐❤️📚
Thank you so much for your posts. I've been working on doing taxes for a family member and it is my first day off of that grueling process. Your channel is such a refreshing BREAK! So sorry about your headaches!
I so miss Marks! Even if we had them in the U.S. it just wouldn't be the same! When I lived in Glasgow I'd see the occasional lorrie filled with Tulips. I was told by friends they were coming over from the Netherlands. I trust they were not pulling my leg. In the states, there are rules about taking various things across even state lines due to department of agriculture rules, so I'd be surprised if one could go freely between countries but who knows. Anyway, the wonderful types I got there, the parrot style and ruffled type, with so many amazing variations that we never see in the stores here. I see them in the Brecks catalog but my gophers would probably have a feast on them if I did manage to order and get the fancies planted! Thank you for sharing these beauties with us, from the sweet tin, to the tulips, and your day to day outings.
What a lovely way to start my Sunday…thank you!! Everything you picked up at Forbes was so pretty; I also liked the mugs and bowls you pictured with the coral and blue hydrangeas. I tried to find them on their website for the manufacturer, but they don’t seem to have a presence online (apart from Facebook) for ordering. I always love your trips into Ripon…it’s such a lovely town! Hope you and Donna have a nice peaceful week, full of lots of reading time!❤📚❤️
Forbes is a lovely shop, but no I don't believe you can shop it online. I didn't look at the make of the hydrangea ceramics (which were very pretty), but they could be Gisela Graham too? Hope you have a peaceful week ahead too! xxx
You are right, indeed, Miranda…they are Gisela Graham! Thank you so much!❤
I Capture the Castle is one of my favorites. I discovered a copy in my attic when I was a young girl. It had been my mother's and then I claimed it. I still have it...hmmm....55 yrs or so later!
You have such beautiful things compared to us here in Ontario. Britain shopping is the absolute best. 🇬🇧🇬🇧💗
Our daffodils are starting to come out here in KY, too. Always glad to see them lift their heads.
I love to go 'shopping with you'...
....because there are always such lovely things to discover.
Looking forward to your next video, vlog and book Club.
📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚

It's such a pretty tin!! And yes, the biscuits are very nice too!! xxx
I am a new subscriber. I feel like I found a sister . I love the same sort of books. Enjoying simple beauties.
Another lovely vlog Miranda. I am about a third of the way through this month's Comfort Book Club read and really enjoying the story and different characters. I just finished reading Homecoming yesterday and it was definitely a 5-star read for me. Thanks so much for recommending it!

Thank you for another lovely video. The Austen books are so very beautiful, as is the pretty china that you bought. Much love. X
Thank you Miranda for such a lovely vlog.
Oh my gosh, lol………I was just getting ready to head to library to pick up this book! Love Kate Morton 😁

I love the new edition of the Jane Austen books you showed us, so beautiful. I much prefer the " Anne " books to the " Little Women " series.
Hi Miranda-
I love your videos- you’re really helping my book choices!
Love your style too.
The lovely top/dress you are wearing at the end of the video- where can I purchase it from?
Kind Regards Judith
Would love to read the book!
I commented on an older post and asked about your sleeveless turtleneck sweater you had on. I am not very computer or you tube smart, so I don’t know where to see if you commented back. It was so lovely and I wanted to know where you had purchased it?
It’s from Seasalt, but in its second year now so I don’t believe it would still be stocked.
Love Kate Morton's books - have read them all, this may have been my least favourite ... but I have a "thing" about reading books set in the country I live in ? Weird but I've always been like that :)
Lovely vlog and I went straight to join on Substack! 😊🌷
Great Video!❤
