Tip from my dermatologist: Try a tiny bit of new face products on the skin near your underarm; it's a sensitive spot, and if you have a slight reaction here, you're not walking around with it all day on your face. You had a lovely day!
Your weird cafe experience was so relatable! The calculating your own bill thing happened to me and my friends every single time we went out to eat in Edinborough!!! We were a large group of like 8, so it was an eternity for us to all figure out our prices. They didnt offer a calculator either, we just did it on our phones. It was quite terrifying for me! In America, they split your bills for you and you just pay like you would if you were alone. Even the tip is usually payable by just selecting the option of whatever percentage you want to pay, so you don't even have to calculate that the majority of the time.
I was so confused by this situation. I'm from Europe (Poland) and I have never ever experienced something like 'calculating your own bill'. They usually just split the bills and you pay them separately. It's all just very weird to me because I kind of feel like it's not my job to count how much I have to pay, it's the service job if you know what I mean.
Thank you so much for posting this peaceful vlog. You have no idea how stressful this day was for me because of my dad's health issue. Thank you so much i feel better now 💕🥺💕
Thank you so much for speaking about the calculator incident!! Its definitely alienating and could be a disability/accessibility concern. Individuals with dyscalculia could struggle with that 😞Thank you so much for your lovely blog!
Exactly! I would start crying honestly. I struggle with numbers and this would be my nightmare. Im so glad to see that other people without this problem can empathise. Most just laugh in my face .
Thank you for giving a shoutout to the show Severance! Not a lot of people have heard about it but it's sooo good :) Also, thanks for showing how reading in cafes isn't always as calming as it looks - I find it hard to read when there's a lot of noise going on but admire people who do. Lovely video :)
Loved the video ♥️ About you not liking water dripping down your arms whilst washing your face, you should try wrist washbands! They’re essentially small towels in wristband form, and I love them 🥰
I got some really cheap sports wristbands and keep them at my sink, then I wear them when I wash my face to keep the water from running down my arm. Honestly life-changing because I hated that feeling so much!!
Newbie fan from Japan here! So jealous of anyone who is joining Christie next May for trip in Japan as I can truly see it is going to be a magical trip with her, just by seeing her vlogging. Just wanted people to know that planning a trip from 7th to 13th May is a perfect choice, as a week before that is a so-called Golden Week where multiple national holidays are bundled in a week and it is going to be crowded everywhere.
I so agree with you about the water pouring down your arms. Hate that! I saw a trick but haven't tried it yet. You put a hair scrunchie on each wrist and it's supposed to stop the water. Who knows 😊
You mentioned I assume Andor episode 9 was the latest when you filmed this and now I have to know what you thought of episode 10 because WOW! Skarsgard and Serkis both just had amazing speeches/scenes. Absolutely agree it's some of the very best SW content. 😊
Thank you so much for posting this video. I was feeling very stressed out because of 4 practical's today & just when I was about to genuinely start ugly crying I saw you uploaded a vid & immediately felt so much more better so thank you so so so much. I hope your have a wonderful day unlike my horrid one. And even if you are having a bad day I hope it gets better
Christy, this vlog is so beautiful, tender and calming - I loved following your journey through the city, bookshopping, making that DELICIOUS banana bread...! It was just wonderful. I really want to watch Peaky Blinders, I keep hearing amazing things about it. I also just started my first episode of Andor, and loving it so much already!

Thank you so much, your videos are always such a comfort to me ❤️❤️ I could watch your vlogs every day xx
I am so glad to hear another person saying they enjoy Andor. You're right about how it's not getting the hype it deserves. It's just like what happened to Solo, Disney over ran the other movies so Solo under-performed.
@@TheMightyFlea-0 You should consider watching more. It is setting up the events leading to Rogue One which leads to the whole (original) Star Wars saga. As its name states, Star Wars is a political drama shown as a fantasy space adventure.
It's so fun to see an Adelaide TH-camr! That bagel place is 10 minutes walk from me and my favourite Saturday spot :D (P.s the Go-To face oil is lovely but not worth the money imo. I just finished my bottle and will be continuing with the Mecca brand one I've also got).
A wonderful vlog as always, Christy. It helped me realize how much we have in common right down to skin type and care. I have those same issues even though my skin is dark. I want to know where you got that bag you were carrying in the vlog! I think it was a backpack but it was so cute😊 Also, those clothes you got were perfect for you. You have great style!
Hi Christie, I’m a (published 😊) author, currently living in Portugal, and I wanted you to know how much your video’s inspire me. I started my own channel only a few weeks ago and learn so much from you… I can’t believe how easy you make it seem! Anyway, I wish you all the best with your writing projects, with your eloquence and mindset I have no doubt I’ll see your books everywhere in a few years. Thanks for being you. Hugs from Portugal
Christy! I recently bought some wristbands that are made specifically to prevent water running down your arms when washing your face, they're great! Got mine on amazon.
Hey! I have the skin type similar to yours and I've found out that using oil cleansers washes away your skin's defensive barrier more than other cleansers. And my skin would be over sensitive and react worse to other products. Now I use gentle gel cleanser. Just thought it might help:)
Good morning ! I need a recharge, too. I finally got around to reading Station Eleven, and I DEVOURED it in a few hours… phew. It’s the best book I’ve read this year, and I can’t get it out of my head. But now I need to do something healthy. Which is why I am visiting your station (Station Graces). Thank you for what you do!
Such a strange experience at the cafe. Haha. thank you for sharing. I have had odd experiences at cafe or retail stores. I try not to take it personally.
We are the same in the uk. I’ve never done that here but had to on holiday in Canada and I panicked 😂. Just so weird to me how the price is never the actual price because you need to add VAT and services etc. just make it all apart of the shelf price!!! 😂
Lovely video, as always!! Sundays get so much brighter as soon as you upload - thank you for bringing so much joy and comfort through your videos every single time. Take care, Christy! 🌱🧡 Ps. I've had some weird experiences like the one you talked about in certain places too and honestly, I think the best way to go about it is to never step foot inside again if you can help it XD
There's a bagel place in Adelaide!? (I guess I usually assume there's nothing cool here😂😬) - Pushing through my last uni assignments, so grateful for this comfort and coziness

Hey Christy! If you ever want a really great recipe for gluten-free banana muffins (which I was inspired to think of after your banana bread), just ask! I was gluten-free for 10 years and I have an amazing recipe that requires absolutely no xantham gum. Do you have access to Kinnickinnick flour there in Australia? It's the main brand of flour my mom and I use, and I think it would improve your gluten-free baking experience by quite a lot!

I'm at a cafe with a croissant and cappa, watching Christy and getting ready to do some work on my laptop, life is good 💛🌙🌟✨
Banana bread hack: put them in the oven until they turn dark! I was obsessed with banana bread lately and they never had enough time to get ripe TT
Christy was such an energy this entire vlog. I love how she brightens up everything
Thank you so much for posting this peaceful vlog. You have no idea how stressful this day was for me because of my dad's health issue. Thank you so much i feel better now 💕🥺💕
You live in such a beautiful city! Thanks for another great video.
I know that you really tried on your outfit, but I also love your look on the last portion of video - you so look cozy💕 thank you for this video
I think we could all relate when you were elated about pockets in the dress 😁
Thank you for giving a shoutout to the show Severance! that cafe story was TRULY so odd lmao i truly would have ran out screaming
"Probably I just think too much, generally" is my life motto... Please bring out a t-shirt with this saying, I'm sure many can relate 🤣
Just finished reading The Traveling Cat Chronicles. I'm emotionally drained. This is exactly what i need. Thank you Christy
Having eyeliner and fountain pen ink on your hands is totally relatable!!
Your bagel brought back memories of me sitting in a cafe within the Jewish Quarter in Budapest eating bagels all day while completing assignments.
That sounds like it would have been absolutely lovely! 💛
Christy, you can get these “towel” arm scrunchies to wear while you wash your face! They’re cheap and take care of the water-dripping problem. ❤️
I agree walking is a great stress relief, just being outside does wonders 😊
That banana bread looked so yummy!🍌 The edge pieces are my favorite😊
Loved the video ♥️ About you not liking water dripping down your arms whilst washing your face, you should try wrist washbands! They’re essentially small towels in wristband form, and I love them 🥰

Your bubbly personality and the aesthetically pleasing quality of the video brighten up my day!
I love that you collaborated with SimpleRetro! That's a perfect clothing line for your style 😊
👌😇beautiful day spent 💖And that banana bread looks really yummy 😋 😍 would love to try it one day 😋
Thank you soo much for such a cozy video ❤ This kindness is saving my live 🥺💗💗
Thank you so much! I hope you're doing okay 💛💛

I adored the "OOH POCKETS" moment....mostly because I do the same haha
You mentioned I assume Andor episode 9 was the latest when you filmed this and now I have to know what you thought of episode 10 because WOW! Skarsgard and Serkis both just had amazing speeches/scenes. Absolutely agree it's some of the very best SW content. 😊
My experience has been to tell the server when you're ordering that you want separate bills then you can each pay your own.
you always post right in time for my morning coffee and it's such a relaxing and beautiful way to start my day
I can’t thank you enough for this amazing cozy vlog - it is so fantastically chill and relaxed (much needed after a very hectic and stressed morning)!
I love that your backpack has a Portuguese saying ☺️ Greetings from 🇵🇹
I love your out and about vlogs!!
thank you so much!! 💛
A lovely video and a very interesting new shop to throw my money at ^^ Thank you Christy!
Thoroughly enjoyed this!!😊

I don't blame you for watching peaky blinders 3 times, Tommy Shelby... I have no words ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
watching your vlogs always makes me so cozy and warm. thank you 🥰
love your videos!! but also I SCREAMED when you showed Peaky Blinders because i restarted the show for literally the 4th time a couple days ago 😂🥲

Oh and Severance is AMAZING. Can’t wait for season 2
Andor is amazing and better than it has any right to be. Obi Wan I dug too but most of it I go in with high hopes and get crushed half the time.

Hello, amazing bread!! Do you add baking powder, soda or salt?
Love your channel ❤️
Well done 👍 BELLA

I’m so envious of you what I see of where you live ;-;
Ottawa appears so drab and boring in comparison. Also your public transit looks…nice? Is that allowed? Should I move to Australia?
Hi! Is the monthly book club on your patreon a live meeting/discussion? Trying to get a bit more info on that. Thanks!

Where are you that there are flowers even still in bloom?
It's spring in the Southern Hemisphere :)
🧡🌻
another great video. May I ask a question, how long did it take you to write a year in tokyo before you published it?
Also, happy November! also got a new fantasy book!
I love star wars movies and tv series, they always do then so goood! My favorite jedi are, Kit Fisto, Eeth Koth, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda (who doesn't love Yoda? I hate maths, I have so much anxiety with it. Like, I just have so much fear with it because the number of times my dad would scream at me if I didn't calculate correctly. If someone asked ME to work it out I would be like "it's your job?" and like I've worked cashier jobs before so I understand how annoying it is to split stuff especially considering the system we had was an old POS. But like, man I would've been so frustrated. I would just end up paying for both and ask for the receipt or something.
Edit: Also, those bushfires were no joke. I remember the smoke affecting me and my partner in SE Victoria. Like, it never got too bad that we had to evacuate but like, my partner has asthma and I'm fine but even I remember getting really bad headaches because of the smoke.
i recently started watching your videos and feels so good to be early
love your vlogs
Thank you so much for being here! 💛
I would be very stressed if I had to do maths on the spot at a cafe!
IMHO...you need the Lisa Sleeveless Polka Dot Midi Dress in your life! ;) Sorry...mid-video comment needed here. I, too, HATE the feeling of water running down my arms. I thought I was the only one. Second to that is stepping in water on the floor in socks. Ick. Ok...back to the vid.

Hi, Christy!
What do you think about the last two seasons of Stranger Things?
I personally loved the first two, but I feel like the last two were not the same quality in terms of writing. The characters felt very shallow to me and the story seemed very repetitive and a bit pointless at times.
I did love the new character, Eddie, but the sotylines of most of the original cast were a little disapointing to me.
I wonder what your opinion is, because I often resonate with your point of view about writing and when a story is well written or not, and I see a lot of people loved seasons 3 and 4, so that's why I ask.
Thanks and sorry about any english mistakes, it's not my first language.
xo
I thought the same about Andor. It's soooo good and yet I've barely seen any marketing or hype for it (compared to a certain other recent program with the largest budget in history and tons of hype that was absolute GARBAGE!!). Rogue One, which also has Cassian, is one of my fav star wars films. It's got such a different vibe, like Andor, than other star wars content.
A surcharge just for it being a sunday sounds like a scam :/
Love you Christy and you're so Beautiful 😍❤
