- You won't believe what the inside of China's new Airport looks like! Worth over $18 Billion Dollars, it's the absolute height of luxury for the first class traveller!
There’s a new airport in town, and it may just be better than any of the travel destinations that you were ever so ready to go on. It’s big, it’s beautifully designed, it’s got modern technology, and… it’s shaped like a gigantic starfish. Oh, and not to mention, it cost the Chinese government a whopping 18 billion dollars to build. We are of course talking about the brand new standard for aviation and transportation, known as the Daxing International Airport in Beijing. It’s unlike any other airport on the planet, in both design philosophy, and in convenience. While it’s distinctive shape may look more science fiction than reality, believe it or not getting to each of the furthest gates takes no more than 8 short minutes by walking. Oh, and let’s not forget that the terminal is the size of 97 soccer pitches. That’s. Huge. But size isn’t the only thing that will capture your imagination here, because there’s also the latest and greatest in technology in the form of facial recognition software, and smart robots. They will get you in and out and on to your next flight, or back to your car, faster than you can say “take off”. Inside, there’s also quite a bit to check out, including traditional chinese gardens, a yoga studio, restaurants, a hotel, a spa, and more. It’s just, too good to be true. Who’d of thought that the airport itself would be more interesting than your trip? Well, with the Daxing international airport in Beijing, that’s exactly the case. And it doesn’t look to be topped any time soon.

This is an amazing airport. Really shows you what the Chinese can accomplish. I would like to go back to China and stop in at this airport and just walk around and see the different sites.

Chinese cares more about the dinning table and lives more than anything. And Chinese are peaceful and hospitalized, China’s thriving will only bring the world more prosperity instead of war and chaos.
I think China today is the absolute global No 1 in development of infrastructure (Motorways, Highspeed trains, airports, railway statitons) and AI. In the meantime they have a net of 36.000 km highspeed railways connections. F.e. in Germany they finished a smaller airport in Berlin last year. They needed 14 !!! years (because of mistakes and corruption. )
We look like poor cousins in comparison. It makes me ashamed of our inability to begin to stay on a level with the rest of the world.

No less than 10 different groups participated in the design for All parts of the Airport. Hada's consulting group from Britain only design the terminal area of the whole airport!!

China is a great Country & a land of lovely people who believe in bringing prosperity to other poor nations by building roads, railways, bridges & ports. China makes investments in the other countries thereby enabling them to get the benefits of the trade and prosper, China and Chinese should not be distracted by all those crazy noises from the West but must keep on marching forward towards a more Prosperous Stronger United future. The west calls it 'debt trap' not the world. No one is pointing a gun and asking you to take loan from china. What do you think IMF is doing? Their interest rate is way higher and dont even start with the eligibility requirements. In the name of human rights, they force a country to alter their international laws in the favor of west than they consider. ( mingling in the internal matters of a sovereign country). Which is worser.
Here china dont care about and sees no role of theirs in interferening into someone else internal matters or how they govern their people, its strictly business. You take loan for development, you pay back with interest. No hassle.
The west is and has always been about double standards.
They should start taking care of their internal affairs like racism, differences between liberals and conservatives, facism, feminist vs anti feminist ......the list goes on.

I've flown both in and out of this terminal in the past month. I didn't even notice much of its grandeur, because navigating within this huge structure to get on board is such a breeze. Just like this video says, it doesn't take much walk to go through security check and board on the aircraft.

Oh my god its so advanced and magnificent construction. All America's airports looks like 19th century bus station compare to this Daxing Airport.
Another thing that is not mentioned is that you can check in your luggage at the subway station in Beijing city if you have more time and want to stay in the city for a while.

The face recognition system greatly improve the checking efficiency, and can pin point the person who is late for boarding so that the PA system can alert him of the need for hurrying up. The system can also identify a strayed luggage and advise the passenger to reclaim the luggage accordingly.

I had travelled so many time to China through different airports and I never ever had any problems with security checks or anything else in last 12 years and I feel very safe and happy travelling to China anytime? Best place in the world from Aussie?
It's sad to know that the genius architect Zaha Hadid (RIP) didn't see the completion of her amazing design. Beijing's Daxing international airport is indeed the most amazing airport in the world.

From what I read, the entire structure is damped to reduce vibration and the 20 kilometer long near by highway is heated in winter to prevent snow and ice build up. This is a showcase project.
Indeed, an architectural masterpiece but The Jewel Changi in Singapore is still incredibly special with what it offers while you wait for a flight, it's very unique and such a fun place to visit.
Daxing Airport is very unique, very nice, very futuristic. Efficiency need to be put to the test.
Changi with the Jewel put them in a very good stand to be No 1 for more years to come...as long as efficiency is kept at the highest level.
I going to fly to this airport just to see it and then fly back.
