    Brilliant, mate. I can see how using the two variations of clay helped distinguish the different layers of anatomy. Bone, musculature and epidermis. Perhaps I'll give this a go with your skull I have on hand. Keep up the great work.

      Thanks Christopher, yeah it'd be a good use for it.

    First off, I Really enjoyed this piece !!! Reminded of the dead ones with no top of the skull from the movie, "Constantine" .... though mostly the "Mammon" figure in Hell !!! It's absolutely a disturbing piece - A huge severed thumbs up on this !!! Please keep up the Great Work !!!!!!!!

    You should do a t-800 with skin hanging half off showing the endoskeleton!!.

    • @thedarkpower
      @thedarkpower  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I have been thinking about doing an endoskeleton skull

    That`s a freaking great zombie-sculpt! How about stitched-skin?
    A (punker-)scalp that is nailed on the head, some metal-teeth and/ or maggots coming from wounds would look perhaps interesting on your sculpt. Keep on that amazing work!

      Thanks! Now you're talking, I might have to save that for a steampunk frankensteins monster ;)

    I wanted to try sculpting over skulls for years but never had enough guts to actually do it. Seeing your process inspired me a lot, gonna try something out!
    Also... man, barely any snow outside your window. I envy you! Here it's been snowing for two weeks nonstop, can barely go out.

      Cool, yeah definitely give it a go glad the video helped! Yeah that was the beginning of the snow, it did get worse by UK standards but nowhere near what other countries get.

    Ello :) fantastic zombie! Really like the teeth and the texturing. I used to use those sponges for facepainting beards onto little kids who wanted to be a bit piratey ☠

    Great stuff, always impressive sculpts! What hardness are you using for the gray monster clay to be able to leave texture marks using just a soft reticulated sponge? Are you using soft monster clay? I can't imagine a reticulated sponge would leave marks on medium or hard monster clay

    • @thedarkpower
      @thedarkpower  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks very much! I'm using medium - the sponge isn't that soft so you can leave a decent impression.

  • @ThisOLmaan

    great work, how the medium Grey monster clay? having ran into any Hard Grey wondering if the medium would almost have the same consistency as hard?

    • @thedarkpower
      @thedarkpower  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've not tried hard grey. Hard brown is similar to medium though, except for the toughness.

    what is the sponge that you use?

    • @thedarkpower
      @thedarkpower  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's called a reticulated sponge. You can get them on Amazon. They're often used as filters for aquariums.
