As someone who has been trying to sculpt for years and getting frustrated with perfectionism or wishing to jump ahead to details and texture- you make this look and sound so easy Nick...
Thank you! I definitely find myself jumping ahead too soon sometimes, but I've been learning to just let the sculpt exist in that "ugly" in-between stage before I really start dialing in the details.
This is my first moulding and sculpting video I have watched. You have me INSPIRED. I'm trying to re-create a skull from the game Sea of Thieves. Wish me luck *fingers crossed*
absolutely amazing stuff! the videos feel real polished too, the aesthetic and your voice are calming and nice to watch/listen to. Hopefully there are more videos to come:)
Thank you! The clay warming box is just a plain old storage box I found on Amazon. The model is no longer available but you can probably find something similar. I just layered the inside with insulation foam and mounted a light bulb socket in the back with a dimmer switch to control the heat.
Thank you for this video. I discovered Monster Clay and am using it to sculpt figures to animate on my cuckoo clocks. (The eagle in my avatar Old Glory Cuckoo Clock I sculpted large, then scanned and 3D printed it at the size I needed to be the cuckoo in the clock.) Learned a lot from this video, both tools and techniques that has boosted me up the learning curve. Again. thank you!
When starting out with the mask could you not use foil or another material to build out the structure to save the monster clay and take away some weight?
Great video. You should be making more videos or at least make a course because you have the skills and ability to do it. Will you make more videos? Plus how did you make your clay warmer?
Thank you! Yes, this is exactly what I would start with for the silicone mold. In fact, I filmed the entire mold making process, so I'll have a full video on that soon!
Hello - I want to get into sculpting masks ; I'm more interested in Aztec and Mayan type masks. I appreciate your videos ! Are there any books you might be able to recommend? Thanks
I am just starting to jump into Monster Clay, inspired by your videos and collaborations with others, and I was searching for the Valdez rake that you used in your video and I seem to be unable to find the exact one. Would you mind telling me the model number? Thank you!
Better make a molding and painting video of this piece. Nice sculpt. You can use baby powder and a brush and that will help with the tackiness the clay has.
Looking at your art upside down is so important and I wish more novice artists would take that one piece of advice with them! It’s so helpful
Really well shot and a beautiful sculpt!
Thanks so much!!

It would be really nice to see how you made the two part mold for this mask. Love the idea!
Thanks! I actually filmed the whole process for making the two-part mold, so that will be a future video!

Ima get this head and make Zelda masks!!!
Excellent work! Very stylized and your attention to detail is really what makes this piece pop. Great video too. :)
Thanks! This was a really fun sculpt. :)
Awesome!!❤
Thank you!
Wow, incredibly informative video! Thank you so much! How much clay did you use for this particular sculpture?
Thank you! I'm not actually sure how much clay I used for this sculpt, but it was less than one of the 5-lb tubs of Monster Clay
When starting out with the mask could you not use foil or another material to build out the structure to save the monster clay and take away some weight?
Beautiful mask. How so you remove it from the armature without ruining the shape?
Thank you! In this case I will be making a silicone mold before I remove it.
Great video. You should be making more videos or at least make a course because you have the skills and ability to do it. Will you make more videos? Plus how did you make your clay warmer?
Wish he included his moulding process!
I have that video in the works :)

Thank you!
just to clarify the use case, this would be what you'd use to make a mold? very well done btw!
Thanks
Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have any book recommendations. Most of what I've learned has been through other tutorial videos.
@@ModulusProps thank you for your response! I'll do the same and watch tutorial videos, hope to see more content from you !!

I'm not sure the exact model, but it's one of their wiretools

Can you choose me to ask for information about the soil softener cabinet?
The box I use for warming the clay is a storage container with a light bulb installed in the back
You have a store?
I do have an Etsy store which you can find here:
etsy.com/shop/modulusprops
I have several versions of the fox mask available to purchase
@@ModulusProps i want to buy but it is very expensive 800 BRL is a lot of money even though the mask is very beautiful.
