I failed for like 15 times on lords of the deep and watched a few battles and noticed the archer shoots scarlet and kills her, I switched the bandit mantle from Selvie to Scarlett and won after a couple tries.
Interesting that the aggro is different, wonder how the game decides who to attack. Good solution on your part. Pinning this for others who face similar situation.
Thanks for the setups! This was a great help to acquire Amalia early for my TZ playthrough. I did have to adjust some minor item swaps on two of these fights to advance however which might be due to patch 1.05. The #11 quicksword fight required me to give Selvie more initiative to get sandstorm out sooner to win (removed lapis and swapped in angle plume). Unfortunately, I don't remember which fight after I also had to reposition the same setup and possibly add more initiative as well.
I was stuck on the Lords of the Deep for the longest time, it just wasn't working. Then I figured out that, because I was using a different rogue than Travis, he had less HP than Travis at the same level, and he was getting killed by the shield shooter. That screwed everything up. Switched to Travis, and it worked
I got as far as Midnight Cutpurses. I couldn't get past that one. I am using the exact setup, I checked it several times, but I always lose. Maybe something's just slightly off with my levels or HP or initiative- It always ends with my Druid getting Impaled and dying.
I beat all of the fights before the final fight with a damage stacking dragoon dive comp with the truehit wyvern reins, gambler’s coin, Chloe’s guaranteed crit, Gilbert and cat ear hood. I made sure to also give Chloe the silver trident to stun front row to stop armours from guarding and also has a griffon to initiative stack and chunk horses. For the final fight, I had an evade stacked Aramis in the front with the sapphire pendant to parry melee hits and an elven fencer in the back to sylphic barrier the ranged attacks. I also had Travis in the back to shadow bite blind. Hope this helps
Unfortunately, I don't have the dragon dive spear here or cat ear hood or gilbert or elven fencer or sylphic barrier (haven't gone into elheim so no elven stuff lol). No shadowbite on travis either since thats a level 20 skill and this is a level 15 run. This is purely doing cornia then directly to coliseum. It's a low level run with quite limited resources which makes it a more interesting puzzle to solve lol.
Well Quicksword Dancers ain't working for me using slightly higher lvl units. I don't know why tbh. Even if the Knight misses Travis twice, they have so many actions that he will die at some point. Update I finally won, but Travis had to dodge 4-5 attacks without Toughness protection. So not sure how it's just the Radiant Knight hitting with 31% chance that ruins the runs. Even the Sellsword will counter attack once.
Right, Midnight Cutpurses you just need Sevlie to casually dodge a Meteor Strike, because that shit keeps hitting me. Lol the Sniper has to randmonly cleanse the blind off the Rogue and not the Swordmaster or you die >_>
Haha, I don't remember Midnight Cutpurses being RNG heavy. If I remember right, when I tested it for RNG, it went the same way as in the vid. Not sure if there are other factors that affects who the sniper cleanses. Did you manage to clear the arena and get Amalia in the end?
For some fights yea, like if there's an Archer they can hit back row. For some fights, it's more convenient to not have to switch team setup although it might be less optimal.
@@silic1 why not just bring 3 evade tanks then if the strat is about negating dmg via evade and winning with pokes? its not like the gear you put on travis are rare stuff. Can easily put silken scarf and lucky coin on other early evade tanks like gammel, melisandre, aramis, leah, celeste, fran, ochlys.
@@TheRobversion1 Travis has some useful skills. He has an evade skill, so if an attack gets past his evasion, he can still use 1pp to evade the attack. With lapis you can evade 3x with pp on top of his evasion. His toxic throw is useful against healers because it continues to do damage after the heal, so if you set it specifically to counter the healer, you can get a poison tick off after the enemy healer has run out of ap/pp for heals and get a win that way. Say a situation where healer has 4 AP for heals, and you have 3 AP. You could toxic throw 1 enemy, the healer would use 1 AP for heal on first round, then 1 AP for heal again on 2nd round to heal the poison tick. Then you toxic throw another enemy on third action, and it'll make enemy healer waste 2 more AP to heal that. Basically you used 2 AP to waste enemy healer's 4 AP and you still have 1 AP left which enemy wont be able to heal. Passive steal is also good situationally, like against Amalia for example. Promoted swordmasters have 2 sword slots and 2 accessory slots. It makes them a little less flexible since the 2 accessory slots are used for silken scarf and lucky coin. You could probably use swordmasters for a lot of the matches, but it's was just easier to stick with travis, he already has the stuff equipped lol. I don't have gammal or ochlys yet. Fran has lower base evasion. My travis is lvl15, 64 base evasion aramis is lvl14, 59 base evasion fran is lvl17, 51 base evasion There's also only 1 evasion sword I think? I use Fran quite a bit after Lords of the Deep for freeze. You get Frozen Battleaxe as a reward from beating Lords of the Deep. The better way would be to use frost tome to row freeze with Fran but I thought might be more interesting to do without it. These are just my opinions, could be totally wrong.
@@silic1 in my experience, the rogue's evade is rarely needed if they have high evasion. Its truestrike that typically gets past that evasion which is why i prefer featherswords as my evade tanks as they can just guard the truestrike. To a lesser extent, the swordmaster's parry serves this same purpose. Theres at least 2 evasion swords early on (bandit and heavenswing) and you get i think a couple more later on like notos. You can also use a non-sword using evade tank like using gryphon knights and using the bandits axe. Frans evasion is technically highest that everyone else in your comps due to her flight bonus. Same thing applies to other fliers like ochlys or hilda. I dont disagree with the usefulness of thieves this early on. Just that you're going solo instead of a full party of evade tanks.
@@TheRobversion1 Hm, the evasion makes quite a bit of difference. There is 1 match where I swapped out silken scarf for lapis pendant and the sainted knight had like 35% chance to hit Travis. The travis matches are RNG, sometimes you have to redo them even with the 3x PP evade, because there's still like 10-20% chance for things to hit you x4 or 5 enemies, x2 or 3 ap each. For the pure evasion matches, having as much evasion as possible just makes it so you don't have to redo as often. There is a match against 3 swordmasters each with keen edge (quicksword dancers i think). Two of which had 2 AP and the middle one had 3 AP. Could still solve it with travis lol. Although there were other solutions, I thought it would be interesting to use an evade tank that was weak against truestrike to tank 7 potential truestrike attacks. I'm not arguing against what you're saying. I used Travis knowing I would use him for Amalia, I went into the coliseum with the intention of using him all the way to make it more interesting but there were some fights I just couldn't get him to work. The fight against Cutpurses is probably the most memorable for me. I couldn't get past them wrecking my back row. In the end, I solved that by putting everyone in the front row and getting each to tank a specific attack, with scarlett in the backrow eating 1 attack. In this fight, I made use of Fran's evade as a front row unit, while Virginia tanked the rogue that has an attack that prioritizes 3 or more AP. I also used Fran's evade in the first Amalia fight to evade tank the column attack.
Awsome video really helped me rush items and get preped for the harder areas, how ever Im stuck in Midnight cutpurses, running the same exact stuff except my selvie is 2 levels higher and scarlet is a few levels higher she will take the first action on the battle casting quick action. not sure if that one is RNG reliant.
I cant beat Lords of the Deep. I am just getting failure after failure. Even if yana lands her shot, I keep getting a dead travis from running out of evades or having the archer land shots with quickdraw. And then the evade tank is gone. It seems like your preview fight is only working because you also dodged an 83% hit chance and then dodged the next (also the hit chances are lower on your fight than on my fight, even though our travises have the same evasion rating) I'm even higher level than called for here. Do the odds change if you watch the fight vs skipping?
Don't think the odds change. Also I'm not sure exactly how the odds work because it seems to evade that 83% almost all the time and it feels like yahna fails to hit the gryphon more often than that 45%. I did this fight quite a lot of times just to make sure its not some ridiculous RNG and it worked for me almost every time yahna successfully froze the gryphon. I think if travis is forced to use PP evade on the shieldshooter, her second shot has high chance to hit. If you still can't get past this, try do a travis + lex duo. Travis front row, Lex back row. On Lex, equip viper shield for poison immunity, you can turn off everything except arrow cover. and Travis you do standard evade setup with PP steal.
@@silic1 I did manage to clear it but only by grinding a few more eveasuon levels on Travis. Every time the sharpshooter was forcing an evade on Travis and then hitting him, and then dies later. I think this really is crazy rng. Everything needs to be set perfect AND you need the 40% ice shot on gryphon AND a 17% dodge on Travis AMD to dodge (not evade) every other ~14% attack Anyways thanks for the reply.
It's probably not related to the curing call condition, but that you got the rng freeze on the wyvern during that fight where you changed the condition. Admittedly, the strat is quite RNG based. If you fail to freeze the gryphon, yahna and scarlett gets 1 shot the next round lol, so the strat itself isn't that good.
I found this super helpful. Thank you, I completed the colloseum last night using this video. I'm only on expert. I used one of the builds(Quickswords Dancers) to quickly farm cc in aux battles to get better items and max a few of Travis's stats. It also helped me understand the tactics system a lot better as well.
If you guys are having trouble with lords of the deep just tweak Travis a little. On the 2nd toxic throw condition 1 Armored i added condition 2 second action. Then added a 3rd row of toxic throw condition 1 prioritize flying. This helped me win first try. I noticed while losing over and over that travis would always have 1 ap left and not use it. This tweak makes him use it and just that added action turned the odds towards the win percentage.
I failed for like 15 times on lords of the deep and watched a few battles and noticed the archer shoots scarlet and kills her, I switched the bandit mantle from Selvie to Scarlett and won after a couple tries.

100% true I get it on the first try😅😅
Later atlus will nerf evade if they see this😂

Trying this on version 1.0.0.6 and got all the way to midnight catpurses. The witch gets off skyward thrust before any other actions happen
We need this detailed guide in the arena. Thanks

So hard to win the final fight, Always dead cause of the blitz Rush, spent hours or something
Any tips anyone? I’m stuck

did you change any items? i cant win the same level
Thank you so much
I didn't have access to the bandit long sword so i used the heavenswing sword on travis
The sword is from battle for adopti I think, you should have gotten it on your way to coliseum.
is this ai?
Yes
I genuinely can't tell if you're an AI voice.
The main-message i get from this video is:
Travis is literally "Let Me Solo Her"
You totally knock it out the park with this complete breakdown, thank you
Me: struggling to defeat Zenorian Deserters
Tutorial: use only Travis
11/10 would recommand this guide, best in town !
Unicorn overlord 2 will have travis as the main hero of the game.
I copied everything to the letter but I keep failing on Royal knights :/ Anyone else have the same issue?

Searched around for a guide on the colloseum, thanks! My adventure for the big woman begins >;)
silic, This made me laugh so hard, thanks for sharing!
I did not level up travis 😭 im so de3d. Im now level 30.
