One quick question though, how important is it to have the dropped height of your new pendant fixtures the exact same height as the already existing dropped pendant fixture over the kitchen table? In cases though where there is no kitchen light over the table constraint, what is the standard height of the new pendant light fixtures over the peninsula countertop? 😎

those wire nuts were forbidden in Finland about 30 yeara ago, as they, any of them don't hold enough and caused many fires. We have whole different systems (more effective ones) on use nowadays.

This haunts me. I installed a couple lights for a friends aunt. Fast forward he asked me to pick his cousin up before a concert at his aunts house. So i naturally went to the house i installed the lights at. Turns out he had 2 aunts on the same road and the house i went to now belonged to a cop that had been broken into he was not happy i was there and had pulled his gun it wasnt pointed at me but i was very worried at the time he also had two german shepards. He deffinetly over reached and was an asshole as i was unarmed and was just there for a friend. Still pisses me off

Your lucky to have the joists to support the pancake boxes.
What happens if there is no joist for support above?

Awesome work brother! Don't worry about the cry baby Union guys, worried about a pancake box ground. Those are the same guys running foot of extra wire at every device, sloppy workplaces, etc. They also are the guys connecting a pointless ground and have the lights sideways and 2 inches off center.
I can tell you after years of work in the field, and owning a business, I'd hire you in a heartbeat.

For one second I actually thought he was chucking the wire nuts away to replace them with something reliable and safe! But noooooooo, just different coloured wire nuts

Great lights ... but let's talk about the stone surface all scratched up from you metal tools laying right on it... try to do a little prep next time

I wonder what would be faster, string with a brick hanging off of it or a laser level.

Always used string and a plumb bob. Just recently got one of those laser things I must say it's so much faster

Where I'm from joists aren't placed randomly and are pretty easy to find.

No, the pros use the ideal red and yellow wire nuts with the yellow skirt on the red nut
