  • Our Mira Escape electric shower is not flowing any water at all and the low flow warning light is lit. Here we tear it down and replace the valve and solenoid. Total cost of repair £50 in October 2022. Cost to replace would have been £450 just for the shower unit.

Thank you very much for this informative video. I successfully changed my Mira escape Solenoid valve after seeing your video(like 100 times). Now, however the water is not getting hot enough!

Doing mine now only changing solanoid but everything has to be undone to get to it on Mira sport max, Grrrrr.
    Thanks,
    Mike.

Yep sadly it does on these Mira electric showers. Fortunately it's a lot cheaper than a whole new shower!

Will changing the flow valve fix the temperature not changing?

@@tdhpst I think you'd need to change the thermostat for that one.

@@TefsTravails is the flow valve not thermostatic? I'm looking at part 1563.540 for a Mira Sport

@danielalmadani4907 I actually phoned up Mira customer services and spoke to their technical help. They knew what they were talking about and directed me to the right part. Worth a try.

Stupid question but do i need to turn the water mains off when loosening that fitting @9:24 or will water just continually flow out of it?😄

I think I had the mains off throughout doing this. Didn't want to risk it spraying on the electrics.
