I didn't but I think it would be okay. I think the actual 3 way valve may get warped. When you buy a new unit you can actually buy the 3 way and the housing together for a few dollars more than just the 3 way. I would not recommend changing the housing unless you have to. It doubles the amount of work the job takes. I actually think I still have the old housing plus a new 3 way valve. Maybe I will try to fit it and report back if I have a chance.
@@jeffceo yeah it would be nice to just just replace the motor without having to remove the housing. I have received the motor today waiting for the housing until tomorrow just in case. I don't want it breaking down during peak winter. Any tips on bleeding the air out of the unit, mine also has the navien manifold.
@@KillerDayton If you open the valves slowly the high vent on the top left of the unit should bleed the air out. Make sure the small screw cap is loose so that it can vent. Sometimes people close them once the system has been bled.
Never mind just had to listen further
How did you know you needed to switch the three way valve? What were the issues?
Did you try the new 3 way on the old housing? You think it would be better to get a new housing as well?
