Wow! I love you're enjoying your trip to my homeland! In the City of Bridgetown you would've found some restaurant making Cou Cou to give you the full experience of the famous Bajan dish.. Love your video.
When we went Dec 2021 they had just reopened so there was still a late night curfew but I guess it had been even earlier prior to that. We did not have to quarantine when we arrived (they had also just changed those rules recently before our trip, prior to that you would have had to). The Rose Bank Apartments where we stayed for most of the trip is one of their Quarantine approved facilities so if we had needed to quarantine we would've just been there.
Love your video!!! Gotta love TH-cam algorithms for showing me your video. I'm going to Barbados next month. I am debating to stay in St. Lawrence Gap or Bridgetown. If I do stay in St. Lawrence Gap I will definitely make my way to Bridgetown for all the wonderful food. Yummy video thank you Linda!!!
Good morning Thank you so much for showing the beautiful places in Barbados It is a shame I am a Bajan and never got to experience all of these places My next visit I have to check out some of these eateries Thank you for sharing this Beautiful side of my little island in the Sun❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Fish from Pat's at Oistins and some Legendary Fish Cakes washed down with a couple bottles of Banks and then across the street to Tiger Market for birthday cake (and pizza) if we were still hungry. That was the routine on my wife's birthday before the kids showed up.
Ohhhh Wow! I was just in Barbados and walked right pass those places by Oistins fish market. I did go to Patts fish grill. There food was great. I made a small video about my Barbados trip on my channel let me know what you think when u get time.
Nidhe israel synagogue in Bridgetown. One of the oldest synagogues in the Americas, standing since 1654, restored and used by the nose people community in Barbados to this day. Book reference: Barbados the first israel by Hutchinson.
If you search Chill Cafe Bar & Grill, the Backyaad is right next to it! It's along the Richard Haynes Boardwalk. If you hit Blakey's you've gone too far!
While a nice video some notes... bujol is not Trinidadian it is a Eastern Caribbean dish done in variety of ways in each island. Back yard is not a Jamaica restaurant it is a restaurant. It serves a variety of foods including some associated with the island of Jamaica.
Nope I'm from St kitts & nevis. Barbados has some of the best food my family and i ever ate. These people eat fish by the tons. Ive been Trinidad to much curry in everything. Bajans food is even better than Jamaica's food who are often boast-ful about their's. Grilled swordfish coleslaw grilled potatoes ostins. Lord have mercy. Bajan stew lamb. (Barbados black belly sheep) with rice and peas the Sunday before we departed OMG❤❤. Forget about that curry goat crap.😏. Bajans should be the ones exporting their food.
Barbados honestly does have some really good chefs here on island and have received many international awards for both food and drinks . We just concluded our food wine and rum festival which is a hit in the culinary world so yes I can boost our food is top class.

Welcome and Thank you for visiting our Beautiful island.
In Barbados right now on holiday. The food and hospitality is excellent! May have to take some these recipes back home with me 🙂 Loved the video.
Did you have to quarantine when you arrived? Also, is there a curfew being enforced? I’m going in March
Enjoy!!! I miss the food.

The super fresh fish and seafood must have been such a welcome change from landlocked Edmonton, it all looks delicious, I'm a little jealous, lol!

They didn't show it but the amount of pepper sauce she put on the sandwich makes it inedible

How was it during Covid? Like did you need to Quarantine for long ?
We actually arrived after they had lifted most of their restrictions so we didn't need to quarantine!
Must go to Deia beach restaurant food simply best.
Did you convert money once on the island? How did that go for you? TIA
We did not covert money! We converted $1,000 CAD before we left and then charged our credit card for other costs on the island!
True, you can use US dollars to buy stuff, its normal.
Unfortunately you didn’t try any of the Ital food, food from the Rastafarians.
Any thoughts on gluten free in Barbados?
It wouold have been nice to know the cost of the meals after making mouths water.
What's the address for backyard. Can't find it anywhere

POV: You realize you've lived in barbados your whole life yet don't know any of these places
