@@adiel22220 when my dad was younger, he played the guitar in a punk band and their drummer's name was Lars. Unfortunately he couldn't find any of their recordings, so I haven't listened to their music. He said it was a nice thing to tell to Metallica fans to confuse them.

Well isn't that a shame. Those kids don't realize how awesome and Iconic their dads actually are. Loved the show they did with Guns N Roses way back in the day. 🌹
Watching these videos I always have the impression, that these guys are HAPPY. Their life is in order and for me, they look more happy nowadays than ever. They smile and laugh a lot and instead of acting like huge stars, they seem to be completely ordinary human beings. So nice to see this.
Would have loved to see a full interview rather than such small clips. Ahh well, happy to see one of my all time favorite bands getting the coverage they so deserve. :)

I so relate to starting the kids early on good rock n roll. When my 10 year old son was an infant I would play the Metallica lullaby cd while I put him to bed. And pretty much all he hears in the car with me is rock from the 80's and 90's. Must have worked cuz he plays guitar, piano, bass guitar and sings in a rock band. His favorite band is the Beatles. At least I know I did something right! lol

I saw a random lady wearing a stock Iron Maiden tshirt the other day walking through town. I was so tempted to go up and ask her what her favourite Maiden song or album is. It always seems to be the way with fashion-conscious people, they'll only wear shirts of bands (brands) that have at least one foot in the door of the mainstream (Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, or maybe even Slayer). I hate stock band tshirts, or stock video game tshirts, people will pick a tshirt off a rack without paying attention to what made the name famous to begin with.
As long as kids learn to play fade to black with the violin, all is good. That song is beautiful on the violin and cello

No one is forcing you to listen to pop or rap or whatever though. Listening to metal doesn't mean you have a superior music taste. I used to be like you too, back in high school I thought I was superior because I only listen to metal while the others listened to pop. But now I realize that there's so many good modern music out there, just waiting to be discovered. Even though metal is still my favorite genre, I now listen to all kinds of songs and honestly it's much better this way

I can relate so much to kirk, as a kid, i thought that guitar playing was so boring, now 14, I have invited to gigs every couple weeks
A little before my 5th birthday, my grandfather (my parents might also have been in on it, idk) bought me and my little brother an Xbox 360 and Guitar Hero 2 and 3 as well as a controller, and I am forever grateful for having been brought into metal. My mom's not really into the heavier stuff but my dad loves guys like Metallica and Megadeth, and my mom has recently gotten into Avenged Sevenfold. Really cool to have parents into the same music I am, especially when that music is metal \m/

Man was I lucky to be freed from 21st century pop... Unfortunately my suffering is inevitable for I have to tolerate my classmates who crank kpop at full volume...

My real introduction to music were the first 4 guitar hero games (main games so not stuff like Rocks the 80s). One was my first Metallica song, and I'm glad it was. Just like my first Nirvana song is Heart Shaped Box. I'm glad I didn't start with the "mainstream" songs.
