Make Your Next Party With The Green Screwdriver Layered Cocktail

- Today on Booze On The Rocks, we make the Green Screwdriver layered cocktail. On the surface, this layered cocktail isn't green, and it doesn't look like a screwdriver. The idea works on its use of primary colors that you get from the orange juice and Blue Curacao. When stirred, you get a green effervescent cocktail that gives you all of the orange flavor that you're looking for. Try it out and let me know what you think.

I believe the screwdriver was my first cocktail... It did not look anything like this though!
Neither did mine.
David, you messed up the cocktail's recipe in the description. Please update it, cause the drink looks fantastic
Looks way cooler and doubtless tastes much better than a regular screwdriver
That it does Andrew.
I'd much prefer a regular screwdriver
Gorgeous! That is going on my list, cheers David.

@@christinecamley You are so very welcome.
Cool looking drink. How sweet is it? Perfect for hot weather. cheers
Hello Doc. It is sweet but not overpowering.
Hi David, prepare my author's cocktail, or rather a shot.... "Desert Storm" shot layered bottom layer peach liqueur 15 ml (necessarily orange), the middle layer lemon juice 7 ml + top campari 7 ml. It will mix with lemon, but that's the way it's meant to be. The top layer is a strong orange liqueur (according to the type of Grand Marnier orange). The result between the two sand layers is a reddish storm ... a storm in the desert. (Author Vladimir Aksenov) if you do, I will be glad 😉
I will see what I can do.
Where the video for Friday July 28th 2023?😢
The video is up now. It came out late do to an upload issue.
@@boozeontherocks I saw it 7 minutes after you posted it thank you 😊
@@lorenza5363 your welcome
This a OCD post…So nothing against you but I have always had an issue with drinks like this… what I mean is how do you drink it, I greatly appreciate the artistry in it but as the consumer the first sip the straw passes through the top layer to the bottom so you get a decent sip but the second sip is all blue curaçao which to me is horrible…. So do you stir with the straw and destroy the aesthetic and drink and is this a slap to the bartender’s artistry? How do you consume beverages like this?
That depned totally on you. If it was a shot I'd just knock it back. I deally you will mix it because that will combine the flavors. But you could also do a lifting straw methos where you take a sipe but as you do that you lift the starw out of the glass. that will keep your layers in place. BUT,, mix it. Do what works best for you and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. The Bartender wants to make something that not only tastes good but is visually pleaseing as well. And besides for thisone you can stir it and it goes a nice green.
Something is wrong with the subtitles in your videos. They appear all at once at the beginning of the video :P
I will check it out. Thank you
Method
1. Add the cubed watermelon to the shaker tin.
2. Muddle gentley.
3. Add the remaining ingredients.
4. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
5. Strain into a Martini glass.
6. Garnish with a watermelon slice.
wtf?
Great catch. I fixed the description. It's all fixed.
