- Today on Booze On The Rocks we make a True Colors Layered Cocktail. This multiplayer cocktail contains Empress 1908 Gin, Vodka, Blue Curacao, and Midori. Its easy to make and looks stunning. Try it out and let me know what you think.

TRUE COLORS
1 oz/30 ml Blue Curacao
3 oz/90 ml Lemonade
3 oz/90 ml Lemon Lime Soda
1.5 oz/45 ml Vodka
.75 oz/22.5 ml Melon Liqueur
1.5 oz/45 ml Empress 1908 Gin
Method
1. Add first three ingredients into a glass filled with ice slowly.
2. Mix the Vodka and Melon Liqueur in a separate glass.
3. Slowly add the vodka mixture to the top.
4. Add the Empress 1908 gin. (Optionally squeeze a lemon ledge on top.)
5. Garnish with a lemon Wedge.

I just adore Midori, there are not many that are similar like this. But Midori its color is just amazing, especially the flavor is jumping out.

WoW!! David, one of my favorite drinks you made once is a Malibu or paradise punch or somethin like that. I like it for it's tropical taste and the 3'layered colors of blue, yellow, and red. Looks great and tastes even better. Now THIS?!? This I shall try because I love layering drinks and getting the cool colors. I also like how u said to, "buy local if u can." I totally support small business owners here in Tennessee. Well I'm off to the races to try another colorful concoction. CHEERS!!

Absolute magnificence... a drink made to wow! Beautifully crafted David. I haven't tried the Crazy Monkey yet, but as I'm a big vodka martini nut, I think I'm going to have to. I have a lot of friends that live near the Nickel 9 distillery, so next time I'm out that way, might have to try out some of their goods. Do you recommend any of their other spirits/bitters?
Thank you very much. The only other items that I have tried from them are the Temple Gin and the Chocolate Bitters. Both are really good. I would definitely like to try the rest of their selection.

Empress Gin is near impossible to find where I live, but I've got another purple gin.. just worried if the density will hold the same to float. Excited to try it out and see :)

Found your channel looking for a two-tone blue cocktail. I'm trying to make a Tennessee Titans themed drink for the playoffs and this drink and your Deep Blue Ocean are almost exactly what I'm looking for. Do you have any advice on how I might turn Dickel no.12 into a tasty two-tone blue cocktail with a splash of red? Looking forward to trying some of your concoctions!
It sounds really good. You could use some blue curacao but because the Dickel no. 12 is brown it might not give you the exact color you want. you will have to fiddle to get the color and taste, Mix it with some citrus to lighten it up. and see where that takes you.

Hi Orazio. Great question, in Canada and the US lemonade is generally not fizzy. It's a combination of lemon juice, sugar, and water.
now to compare Midori to the other green melon liqueur we have....
I will have to do that. What cocktail do you suggest I do it with?
