    If you were to tell the typical "man on the street" American that someone was a "virtuoso violinist", a likely response would be: "So that guy wastes his time playing boring music on some old fashioned instrument, AND he's never been with a woman? What a loser!"
    I myself quite enjoy classical music (along with many other types of music), and it is sad to me that so few Americans care about it in the early 21'st century.

    Mozart;s Magic flute was written for the people? Intersesting idea! But absolutely wrong!!!!!!!!!!

      Explain yourself. Die Zauberflöte was written for Emmanuel Schikaneder's theater, which was the place to be for all middleclass theater-lovers in Vienna. It got 21 performances in one month, which was on average three times more than any of Mozart's other operas, written on aristocratic's or upper class commisions.
